If these stats are correct then this season (unless we have a terrible season) we should overtake Charlton and Blackpool and be breathing down scum necks in top flight history.

A couple of seasons in the Prem and we should overtake them.

Interesting to see we will also have our 1000th top flight match next season too.

Thanks Col - an interesting read. The all-time premier record which is also with the link is more encouraging, placing us well above Ipswich.

It is slightly annoying from a strictly Norwich perspective that the fist table is sorted by number of points and the second by average points. I suspect we would do better if it had been the other way round!

Also worth noting, we aer the highest placed team to have played fewer than 1000 top flight games...

The Points per Game table makes more interesting reading, usual suspects at the top, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, but then Wimbledon are a shock entry at number 4 and we only need to get 44 points over the coming season to overtake the binners:
