Angus Gunn, City Legend?

Recommended Posts

According to his dear old dad, anyway.
Like father, like son?  Must be hard being a keeper, surrounded by all those long white lines.
Let''s hope when he hangs his gloves up, he doesn''t put on a suit and try out the dugout.

Why do some idiots still give Gunny a hard time. Will always be a legend at our club, gave all when he played and because he failed as a manager doesn`t mean he didn`t give it his best shot. How many people that love their club would turn down the chance to manage it? And yes,its hard being a keeper.

Always stood out as a young keeper at Colney.

That''s because he was a young keeper.

He was a legend slightly tarnished that by relegating us to the third tier almost bankrupting us in the process.

Then to rub salt into the wound he didn''t resign and ended up getting thumped by Colchester at home. Fortunately his incompetence in that game led to a miracle

All the young keepers in the Academy are good Herman, but occasionally one will appear who is considerably better than their peers and he stood out as one of those.

Bryan Gunn didn''t almost put us into administration... perhaps look at who the board members at the time were...
sadly for me, some fans of a certain age will only ever remember Gunn the Manager.. not Gunn the Goalkeeper, stalwart and hero that he rightly deserves to be...

Was and always will be a club legend, not many get a Club named after them!  Even when he took the job, I was thinking ''don''t do it'', the club was on a downward spiral and he bravely stepped up and tried his best to help the club he loved.  Sadly he didn''t have the skills to be a manager or a coach and the rest is history.  He was, however, the manager who signed Grant Holt.
