nutty nigel 7,509 Posted August 5, 2015 It’s great to be back and I’m so proud that we are embarking on the 9thseason of Rays Funds. Thanks to the generosity of you PUPs we are setting outin the strongest position ever. So thank you all for the tenners I’ve alreadyreceived. This is not “pay to play” but obviously we do need 40 tenners to runthe season. So if you’d like to send a tenner the paypal is canaryeddie@aol.com . Or of course I’llbe in The Nelson after Saturday’s game. I have been overwhelmed by the support I’ve had to keep these threadsgoing. Our anonymous benefactor has generously stepped forward again to sponsorthe Norwich match bet and actually increased the amount so we will have tenpounds to invest on the match bet as well as the final six accumulator. And youPUPs have been superstars sending me donations and pledges as well as thetenners meaning that since our presentation last March we already have £409banked ready for the next one! Last season you were all amazing and I think we’ll have an even strongerteam this time around. I just checked back on last year’s opening post and ourtotal raised over the years was £2694. This now stands at an amazing £3934meaning that over the last year you fantastic team of PUPs have managed toraise an incredible £1240. That is truly amazing and I know that the CSF thinkso too. So welcome all PUPs old and new to week one of our new Rays Fundsseason. To get us underway I’m pleased to say we have our current champion, thewinner of last season’s PUPs League, Til1010 in charge of the six matchaccumulator and making the final selections. Tilly was champion for the secondtime last season. A lot has been said about Tilly’s skinny odds on his questfor glory but what’s not always said is how useful it is to have a bankerselection when picking the final six. And with last season’s success rate of 37winners from 40 selections Tilly certainly provided that. But it’s not just hisselections that help our group. Tilly’s also always very supportive of me, allyou PUPs and these threads. Thanks to our generous benefactor we have the Norwich match bet againthis season. As last year we are hoping that these final selections will bemade by PUPs who won’t be picking the final six this season. Top PUP and posterCrabbycanary will be making this week’s match bet selection. Crabby already hashis name proudly displayed on Ray’s signature having won with his match betselections last time so he’ll be aiming to repeat that feat this weekend. Thistime you haver a tenner to spend Crabby. It’s entirely up to you how you splitthe money. It can anything from one bet for a tenner to ten one pound bets madeeither from the PUPs suggestions or of your own. Good as Tilly and Crabby are they will need all your help to find theselections to start us off with a winning week. So I hope you PUPs are backfrom the summer break ready and refreshed to give them the options they need. Don’tforget your selections must be listed on Bet365 or Bill Hill and for theaccumulator the matches must be played Sat/Sun/Mon this weekend. For the PUPswho are new this season please just ask on the thread if you’re unsure and you’llget any guidance you need. Here’s the rota for the rest of August’s final six all of which havebeen confirmed : -Aug 8th -Til1010Aug 15th - LDCAug 22nd - MrApplesAug 29th -Cityangel Here’s the match bet rota for the rest of August which have also allbeen confirmed : -Aug 8th -CrabbycanaryAug 15th - WesHooly FanAug 22nd -Lessingham CanaryAug 29th- Woostercanary Don’t forget that Kathy has managed to get us a BOGOF on this season’sCanary Challenge. If you haven’t entered yet then get your entries to Kathybefore Saturday. Any winnings from the free entry will go to our presentation potfor the CSF. Details here : - http://www.canariestrust.org/This website won’t let you enter your BOGOG PUPs entry though. You will need toemail that to Kathy kblake@crowshall.co.uk We also have a PUPs league once again in the Sky Sports Super Six. Ifyou play this just select “Leagues” then “Join League” in the options and ourcode is W51VXZ. That’s it from me for now although I’ve probably forgotten something! I’ll hand the thread over to Til101 and Crabbycanary.Remember there’s no pressure because we areall going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand togetherwith the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... Feedthewolf 4,844 Posted August 5, 2015 Welcome back everybody! Looking forward to another season of extracurricular excitement - as if being back in the Premier League wasn''t enough, we have our weekly dose of PUPs power! I''ve sent my contribution to you via Paypal, Eddie. So my pick for ''that feckin Tilly'' is Man City to win away to West Brom. As you say, Tilly, always tough to predict on the first weekend, and choosing an away win is particularly risky - however, 8/13 seems pretty generous given the cornucopia of attacking talent City have on offer.Bayern Munich, by the way, are a staggering 1/100 this weekend - sounds ideal for your pick! In all seriousness, though, the very best of luck. Everything crossed that you can get us off to a winning start. As for the match bet, I''ll go for a ''double result'' - Palace half-time, draw full-time. Seems a pretty plausible outcome given the quality Palace possess going forward, and 14/1 seems very generous to me.Allez les PUPs!

wooster 134 Posted August 5, 2015 Nutty,Thanks again for this very enjoyable stream & good luck to Til & Crabby for this weekend''s picks. This season I think I''ll concentrate on draws (not that it worked that well last year) or away wins rather than go for the obvious Barcelona vs Blind School stuff. So this week I''m suggesting Southampton to win at Newcastle at 6/4.For the Norwich game I''m going for a 2-2 draw at 16/1.Good luck everyone else
R Mellie 0 Posted August 6, 2015 Good to see this thread again, at last the new season is nearly upon us. AJ 1,218 Posted August 6, 2015 Hi all, Pups are here so we know the season is truly just around the corner! Exciting times. To open my account for this season I''m going for Wycombe vs York home win.Wycombe narrowly missed out on promotion through use playoffs last season and I''m sure will be one of the favourites to go up this season. As for York they finished just 10 points clear of the relegation zone. Home win for Wycombe on the cards for me. For the Norwich bet I''m wondering if Norwich have the possibility of keeping a clean sheet.
