Ketts Rebel 0 Posted May 18, 2015 I have read the latest update in the EDP which clearly says the tube train is not affected by the strike, but this completely contradicts the advice given on the National Rail website.Confused. Some one has got their advice badly wrong....but which one ?Most likely the EDP?
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,017 Posted May 18, 2015 All of the stuff I have read only refer to rail services being affected by Network Rail staff going on strike, including the latest press release by the National Rail website.....
Ketts Rebel 0 Posted May 18, 2015 National Rail;Last updated 18/05/2015 14:00 Route affected National Rail routes TOC(s) affected Abellio Greater Anglia; Arriva Trains Wales; c2c; Caledonian Sleeper; Chiltern Railways; CrossCountry; East Midlands Trains; Eurostar; First Great Western; First Hull Trains; First TransPennine Express; Gatwick Express; Grand Central; Great Northern; Heathrow Connect; Heathrow Express; Island Line; London Midland; London Overground; London Underground; Merseyrail; Northern Rail; ScotRail; South West Trains; Southeastern; Southern; Stansted Express; Thameslink; Virgin Trains; Virgin Trains East Coast; EDP;The strike does not affect London Underground services and there are a number of alternatives to avoid the disruption. Supporters arriving by train at Stratford can take the Jubilee line direct to Wembley Park- which is situated at the start of Wembley Way. Alternatively, fans can take a Central line tube service to Liverpool Street and then join a Metropolitan line service to Wembley Park from there??
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,017 Posted May 18, 2015 I have checked the Association of Train Operating Companies website and London Underground are not a TOC, which suggests National Rail have got it wrong.....
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,017 Posted May 18, 2015 And I meant to say that Edmund King, President of the AA (and NCFC fan) was on Radio Norfolk today advising to either travel by official coach or drive to tube stations on the edge of London
Ketts Rebel 0 Posted May 18, 2015 Thanks for your help. Just imagine driving down to a tube station to find them closed. Nightmare.

Matt Juler 148 Posted May 18, 2015 As I''ve said on a few other threads, the only slight knock on could be on the small parts of the network where tube trains share National Rail tracks, such as on the northern section of the Bakerloo line (north of Queens Park, including Wembley Central). All of the core tube network will be running, including the Met and Jubilee lines to Wembley Park, other than any planned engineering work, which can be found here: https://tfl.gov.uk/tube-dlr-overground/status/?startDate=2015-05-23T00%3a00%3a00&endDate=2015-05-25T23%3a59%3a59
