stroud canary 0 Posted July 31, 2005 I think Worthy is really p***ed off with Portsmouth and Francis, so accepting a bid from Wigan is perfect for many reasons.1) We got a great chance of going up as Wigan go down - 2 fingers to Damo!2) Portsmouth have totally messed us about firstly trying to unsettle Green, then putting numerous low bids in for Francis.3) they want the Francis deal on there terms - low price - no Primas. So just get the feeling Worthy will be so happy if he goes to Wigan.Dont think he would sell to Portsmouth after all there messing about.Good on ya Worthy! Northern Canary 0 Posted July 31, 2005 Its going to be funny watching everything going wrong for Francis and his agent. And then passing us on the way down
Old Boy 0 Posted July 31, 2005 I think you''re right GC. But on the other hand, is anyone certain that Portsmouth actually made a firm offer? If they did, I''d be surprised if it was more lucrative for the Club than Wigan''s offer. So then, why not take the opportunity of trying to give a leeson to a mediocre player with a big ego. I''m just glad he''s gone, and we can move forward.
Cheeky Monkey 0 Posted July 31, 2005 He''s far from gone yet ! So don''t count your chickens. But a question for all you anti-Damien fans (and I''m sitting on the fence here).Lets say we get 2m for him (wheverever he goes). How are you going to replace him with Premier potential player(s).Its going to be incredibly hard. stroud canary 0 Posted July 31, 2005 He will be hard to replace. But it seems like he doesnt want to play for us, so lets move on.Surely if he did still want to be at Norwich he would have shut his agent up, like Huckerby did.Effectivley Jarrett for Francis plus 1.5m could be great business.
