morty 0 Posted June 2, 2015 The club is punting out some great media just now, not sure, in the case of this, I am just finding it by accident on youtube.
Katie Borkins 1 Posted June 2, 2015 I looked at getting my old bones around a 10k course but with an entry fee of 25 quid, of which only 2.50 goes to the CSF, Run Norwich can poke it.Standard running race fees are around 12 quid.I would rather run Park run and donate 2.50 to the CSF rather than pay 25 quid to run around the city I live in.Moan over until LDC pokes his snout in. Katie Borkins 1 Posted June 2, 2015 I wrote to the organisers and asked about the fee and they said it was "in line with other city runs" which misses the point somewhat. PARKRUN on the other hand is a fantastic free organised 5 at Eaton Park and Catton every Saturday and we''ll worth supporting. A proper community event for all abilities with zero product marketing or attempts to rinse you of cash.
Pete Raven 276 Posted June 2, 2015 Agree that the entry fee is too high - Trowse 10k was half the price - and ParkRun is a wonderful event. Having said all that I have been sucked into the city centre''s first 10k and will be running for Age UK (quite apt given my running ability). Cheeky plug for fundraising page here
