Looks to me like you have fallen into the usual trap of supporters in being over-optimistic for others while being a bit more pessimistic about ourselves. I don''t tend to bother doing predictions because of this very reason; what happens happens, we all have tough games and could drop points anywhere.

So you don''t see any of the top 4 losing any of their last 6 games? Seems unlikely. Boro looked pants yesterday and have lost 3 of there last 6 games.

It is far too difficult to predict and with the exception of us v Boro there is nobody facing another top 6 team so the run ins look quite friendly for everyone.

I''d like to think we can beat Leeds who are in disarray at the moment but Fulham is the one that worries me simply due to our inability to ever beat them!

I don''t think you''ve been overly optimistic with those two games- even minus Jonnno we''ve got goals in us. Jerome, Hooper, Wes, Howson and Redmond have all scored a good few goals this season!

I think as all of the games look winable predictions are quite tough- I wouldn''t predict Boro to lose to Rotherham but then I wouldn''t predict them to lose to Wednesday but they did!

We''ve put it in our own hands and thats all we can ask really. Based on form alone I reckon it will be us and Watford going up automatically but it really is too tight to guess!

Hope i am wrong and such tight margins[/quote]People are continually predicting far too many points for far too many teams. In the entire history of the 46 game format the average number of teams getting 80 or more points is under  three and the maximum ever of five has happened only once. I saw a prediction on here the other day with 7 teams getting over 80 points and that is simply not going to happenAs for four teams getting over 86 points there is no chance whatsoever. If we get 86 points we will be promoted.

This is all pretty fruitless.

There will be surprises and twists before the end

We just need to retain composure and win as many as we can

That''s all we have left

The interesting thing is that we could win all our remaining games and not get automatically promoted as Watford could do the same but by more goals. One reason why it was a tad disappointing we couldn''t stretch the lead against Weds.

If we beat Boro I think they''re gone from the autos, despite what they do against Wolves, which will leave 2 from 3. It is almost certain to come down to that last day against Fulham and what a magnificent chance to lance the boil of the 6-0 from 2005, a decade on from one of the most difficult days in our history. They should be safe by then, just as they were then, with all the pressure on us. Amazing coincidence.

And just one dodgy ref decision for any of the top 4 in any of these games could make a massive difference too.

It''s going to be a long few weeks and some heat pounding moments too, better buckle up I think...........!

If past performance is an indicator of future results :-)

Over the last 6 matches:

Bournemouth..... 14 points, +13 goal diff

Norwich............. 14 points, +8 goal diff

Watford...............11 points, + 6 goal diff

Middlesbrough.....9 points, -1 goal diff
