Recommended Posts

If nothing else, it shows how over-rated Nathan Redmond is, and how under-rated Bradley Johnson is.

Highest ranked defender Dani Ayala? Give it a rest

Im sure if a championship club gets promoted to the premier league and they had the pick of 10 players From other clubs Im sure atleast 5 would be from Norwich. No cooindicence basically every manager we come up against says how brilliant our squad is.

Hard to imagine a poll of fans being able to show any kind of accuracy when it is pretty much impossible to see anything but a tiny fraction of league games.

How are these fans basing their opinions? They can''t watch Norwich, or Leeds, or MK Dons or anyone else on TV more than a handful of times in the season.

All this shows is which players have the biggest reputations and which are the most fashionable.

The whole idea of this article is to be as controversial as possible to get people talking about it and therefore get you to buy the magazine. Because there is no way in a million years that someone like Jonathan Forte is a better player than Wes Hoolahan.

The whole logic behind the list is fundamentally flawed, however it is interesting to see which players other fans clearly rate from opposing sides to a certain degree (as well as who has the bigger reputations).I also find it funny to see two of our former players who many fans simply didn''t think were good enough sat in 5th and 23rd, yet we manage just an 11th and 28th from our current squad! The fact that players like Johnson, Tettey and Jerome are missing from the list shows exactly how clueless many fans are about other teams, as all three of them would walk into pretty much any other side at this level tomorrow - along with Redmond, Howson and a couple of others...

It is also obviously heavily effected by the most reason form- hence Murphy being 6th. Up until this season he was a pretty unremarkable striker but has been scoring for fun in the last 6-8 months.

Also the concept of the list doesn''t really work- in all honesty I don''t believe anyone in League 1 or 2 would really get into a top 50 list.
