Bang! The enormity of last night's failure hits home

Recommended Posts

With today''s results a win last night would have put Automatics in our own hands. Two wins against Rotherham and Fulham would''ve guaranteed us promotion. What a sickener.

Prehaps you could have middlesborough investigated by the F A for blatant cheating and docked 3 points happy then. we will still go up this season

I dont think a win ever really looked on the cards last night.....we "may" have got a point out of it had something have dropped for us in the second half. What today has shown is that a draw last night wouldnt have been enough in all probability.

What it does demonstrate is the nonsense on this board over the past week or so of all the clubs in the frame winning all of their remaining matches and a pre-occupation with goal difference. It was never likely to happen and hasn''t.

Glass is very much half empty then?

But it didn''t and I ''d imagine you will struggle to find once in the last 50 years when the top 4 in any league have all won their last five matches. There ''s a challenge for you to wile away a Saturday night!

Well none of us expected a Norwich manager to have a 70% win ratio, so anything is/was possible.

You know what? The final day of the season is a very weird one as we well know. Remember playing an "On the beach" Fulham with fate in our own hands?!

If we can stick 6 points past the next two opponents, I wouldn''t write us off. We now need two of the top 3 to slip up just the once (yes Watford and Bournemouth need to lose, not draw). This league as the Huddersfield game showed today is completely barmy and unpredictable. There''s twists yet, we just have to do our bit and pray!
