Andreu vs Fulham

Recommended Posts

Perhaps he will get a go? If we plan on resting one of Jerome or hoope, he could slot in behind? It would be good for him to get some game time as im sure he could provide a decent threat off the bench in the playoffs.

He''s the same height and to me appears similar in build to Andrew

Surman  (maybe a bit heavier actually). And not that different from Wes.

So I''m inclined to take AN''s comment about him not being strong enough

at the moment with a pinch of salt, much like his "explanation" of why

Voo isn''t featuring. Come pre-season AN will be able to start fine

tuning to get us playing exactly as he wants and I''d expect Andreu to be

part of that. We''ll see.

He clearly isn''t strong enough. Wes may be small but he doesn''t get knocked off the ball that often and has an ability to ride tackles. When Andreu first cane in he looked incredibly weak and fell over repeatedly upon any kind of physical contact with opponents. Needs some serious gym time.

Hes not been on the bench last few weeks, why would he be on bench for the play offs. Why cant people understand we wont be trying out players today. Neil has already said we cant have players trying to adjust to the championship we need players ready for now. So no Andreu will not be starting today.

We have several players you could describe as being in the pipeline, getting full fitness and readiness for a full season under AN.  We''ve seen what AN is like and know he is the real deal, but next season, with a proper pre-season under him with all his own players should fill us with enthusiasm for whatever division we are in next season.    Andreu will get his full chance to shine next season, as will the others - Voo, McGrandles and the Murphys....

Surman isn''t exactly difficult to knock off the ball either though Jimmy, nor

are the Scottish leagues exactly full of shrinking violets and Andreu did well

enough in his time up there. But I''m not disputing he needs to beef up a

bit and adapt. My comment was aimed more at people who seem to be

writing him off completely already. Typical of some on here I know, but

it irritates me. And as it happens, Alex Neil was quoted in the paper

yesterday giving a fuller explanation of why we haven''t seen more of

Andreu and, as I suggested, promising we''ll definitely be seeing more of

him next season.
