Brighton Yellow 0 Posted May 4, 2015 Does anyone know if the Riverside (Station) Hotel will be open for us on Saturday morning? Last August it opened early for us, I''m not sure if that was a one off or not...
Excited Canary 19 Posted May 4, 2015 Someone on TWTD claimed that it is open for us from 8am. Whilst on the topic, will we get kept in and/or police escort to the train station after the game? Hoping to catch a train at 3ish but if we are being kept behind that may be a bit tight. Also for the escort to the ground is that just for the main Norwich-ipswich train or will there be one big one for everyone including all the NCFC at the pub etc... Yur Gonnaget 0 Posted May 5, 2015 At the August game there was no escort and precious few plod on route to ground. I think we''ll get a rather less laissez faire attitude to policing on Saturday.
Brighton Yellow 0 Posted May 5, 2015 I find it hard to find anything useful on there, especially when i see threads attempting to co-ordinate colours... http://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/342698/so-we-are-all-on-the-same-page/#
Miss Bum Bum 0 Posted May 5, 2015 Anyone got any idea as I was planning to have a few babychams there prior to the game?
e10_yellow 0 Posted May 5, 2015 Their Facebook page has confirmed they were turned down for 8am opening, but will be open from 10am on Saturday
? 20 Posted May 5, 2015 Was wondering about the pub myself so thanks for that.As for the escorts to and from the ground, in August there was neither. Which, according to Suffolk Constabulary resulted in the minimum amount of trouble at any derby game in their history, so i''ll be surprised if they change tactic for Saturday. If you''re heading back to Norwich after the game, don''t worry unduly about train tickets, or catching a train at a particular time. They tend to just herd you on the first one with any space, and i''ve never had a ticket checked on the way back. You''ll be fine whichever train time you booked. Pabs 0 Posted May 5, 2015 In August, the riverside pub was open from about 9am as we drunk the bar dry of beer on tap before kick off. Was a great atmosphere too!
