Well said YC! there are also those replying to this thread who mention the crowds lack of passion or commitment.  The crowd is not in any way responsible for lack of fitness and awareness in the team.

It is plain bad coaching to blame, as well as lack lustre preseason commitment.  If we wish to answer the crowd accusation. In my time there were two wingers that played for a local team, they were twin brothers and both were stone deaf and two more committed and keen players you would never see. Their enthusiasm came from inside and that is where we should look for the same in our team. Good footballers can perform in absolute silence if the will is there.
