1 point won OR 2 points lost

Recommended Posts

2 points lost in my opinion.

After hearing Worthy''s usual weak nonsense on the Radio, I''m starting to agree with others.

Is he the right man to get Norwich into the Prem AND keep them there ?

Strenghten the squad or QUIT now.

1 game in and you are calling for Worthy''s head!!  Nice to have good, loyal supporters on the site.

Already the whingers are coming out. First game of the season, nervous players, nervous fans, pre season injuries. With Safri and Jarrett in the middle that would have been a different game. It means very little.

If you''re seriously suggesting Worthy should quit on the basis of the first game of the season then you are, quite frankly, having a bloody laugh.

Why don''t you start a petition for the return of the Fat Controller? You could hold up a banner at games saying "Chase in!"
Cos thats how much sense you make.

if everyone is going to start on Worthy again because we drew the opening game (which we always do) then we may aswel start a new forum for it. Worthy is the man to take us to the prem.

But is he the man to keep us there?

And it could have been worse, I was at Millwall a few seasons back!

2 points lost easy.

Worthy is not entirely to blame, as he said in the second half we were pathetic. Stilll, he left the substitutions too late when a decent change may have changed the game.

Agreed. His inability to note that there is no "No subs before 85th min!" rule is infuriating. Subs are there for a reason - a fresh player can change a game completely.

Dont expect to much , he didnt exactly learn from his mistakes last season . Fleming will continue to play every game , we will still have tireless runners in the midfield instead of somebody who can pass a football

Haha. So protective. Let''s see if you are like that if they keep on losing. We''re a fickle bunch us footie supporters.

What I''m trying to say is that at the end of last season he said he would replace everyone who left. We are four short, and now he is saying he is happy with the club.

Should they sack Harry some said. NO - he came out and said strongly that he has a good team and he will get them straight back up.

Worthy''s post match interviews are pretty poor - come on - can aanyone disagree with that.

Sure the team need to time to gel. Worthy shouldn''t quit on the strength of one draw, but he should keep to his word and replace the players who have left.

At the moment there are too many holes in our team - especially the defence.

And lastly, I think he''s a good Championship Manager and I hope he stays. But if we make it back to the Prem (and I think we will), get in Harry haha.

Iwan comments a number of times in his autobiography at his annoyance of getting 4 or 5 mins as a sub while Worthy was manager which wasn''t enough time to get into the game and make an impact! It is just sufficient to slightly disrupt the team without making a telling contribution! If you''re going to put on a sub Worthy with the purpose of changing the game then give him enough time to have a chance of doing so, if not stick with the players out there!
He can''t control what they did on the pitch. There not robots. And it was only a first match.
On the contrary he CAN control what happens on the pitch.

He is the one who steadfastly picks flem yet ignores Charlie, Colin or shackell who would all probably play much much better - the fas all know he will cost us goals so why cant worthy see it?

He is the one who plays people out of position  (charlie) when they are clearly not suited for that role - Green for centre forward and ashton in goal anyone?

He is the one who decides the tactics (midfield sitting deep and not supporting attackers, playing a long ball game aimed at Ashton or Hux) that failed us this week.

He is the one who cannot see that charlie was struggling in the centre ad only replaced him with 5 mins to go  - 30 mins too late.

He is the one who takes off Marney who looked bright and puts yet another player out of position (Thorne) who has to stay wide right when he is most effective as a target man.

He is the one who signs players who run around hard but dont appear tohave the requisite ability to use a ball properly (Hughes) or do the job they are required to do (Flem, and possibly MLJ based on Sat)

He is the one who coaches the players day in day out - if hecant get them to do what he wants on match day his coaching is failing.

We will get better - but a lot of what was wrong on sat was down the management team and not just the players.

Role on Tuesday and a chance to put things right.
