Although that sounds good. Surely another season for them in the championship would be better? Would that then be their 11th consecutive season in this league?

Although they would most likely come back down, they''d still have the money from the PL which is getting even bigger.

If they did make it up to the Prem for their one season in the sun, I could then see them dropping back down and experiencing a similar situation to that of Blackpool. Owner who is merely in it to line his own pockets. Could be fun... for some.

I have to say, I hope they go into administration, get fined and get relegated, sell all their "best" players, and start the next season with a 15 point penalty and a home defeat to Peterborough.

The partisan stattos amongst us might agree with the desirability of them coming up with us: Just 2 more wins against them next season, and we''ll be level on (post-war competitive) head-to-head wins v losses for the first time for 60 years!

I would like to see them promoted I really would, East Anglia deserves two teams in the top division. But if that other team were Peterborough or Cambridge or Colchester I''d be equally content ... but as that isn''t going to happen who do you want to get promoted in addition to us this year? For me, Derby and Forest.

I do genuinely think we should be in the same league as our rivals. When we were in the PL, I couldn''t care less what was happening with Ipswich. Its the actual games that make it count. And hoping for the small chance of meeting in the cup just isn''t enough... I''d actually fine with them getting a little success if it mean''t a PL derby. When did that last happen?

Four teams relegated that year, Ipswich were bottom with 27 points, we had 43 points - three points off safety - that was the season we only won 1 of our last 20 games after being 7th at XMAS :-(
