Recent history - watch out Coventry!

Coventry had better watch out. For the past 3 seasons the team we have played on the opening day of the season has gone on to get relegated. And our record on the opening day hasn''t been great - we did beat Grimsby on the opening day 3 years ago... but then didn''t make the playoffs! In our playoff year we lost 4-0 to Millwall on the opening day... in the promotion year we drew 2-2 with Bradford on the opening day after throwing away a 2 goal lead at the death.

So, a poor opening day is almost as customary for Norwich as underestimating and going out to a lower league team in the first round of the cup!
