  1. A mate of mine has written his first Norwich column for his local paper, and as he's not on the forum I said I'd share it for some views! www.suffolknews.co.uk/thetford/norwich-city-column-new-signing-catches-the-eye-in-fine-run-9272593/
  2. He's a Port Vale supporter, recently moved to the city, and had a good evening. Even enjoyed VAR(!). Plus he spent some money in the Club Shop on a Pukki scarf, so at least some money went back into the coffers that way!
  3. I've not got any real gripes with the system, but just wanted to point out that the way it worked with the initial batch needing to sell out first, as that was news to me at the time. Last season the late date change for Chelsea at home caused me to try the buyback for the first time in the 20+ years of having my current seat. I just thought it would go straight onto the site for sale, and as it's a good position, it would go quickly compared to restricted view one etc. However, all those need to sell beforehand. In my one experience of trying it, I could see a couple of days before the game that it wouldn't sell out, so took my seat back off of buyback and let a colleague use it. It wouldn't stop me from trying it again, but as someone has mentioned already, based on the uptake of the first 3 games, I wouldn't pin my hopes on assuming that it would sell and I'd get ÂŁxx back.
  4. Last season was ÂŁ20, probably less this season with tickets costing less. One thing I found out last season was that they won't put your ticket on resale (together with all the others on buyback) until the initial remaining tickets sell. I have a great seat, so thought it would sell straight away, but as the match I couldn't make didn't sell out, my ticket never made resale.
  5. This appears to be the case. Some images from inside the stadium here; https://www.linkedin.com/posts/antonio-palone-4407594b_lights-on-in-norwich-aec-illuminazione-activity-6957468046307258368-3Y9x?utm_source=linkedin_share&utm_medium=member_desktop_web
  6. Lewis Grabban, anyone? Very much doubt there is anything in this - it's from an account with only a few followers, although seems to have tweeted a bit about Forest. But also as I don't see where he'd fit in, unless we're expecting more departures. Still, this is the post for rumours... https://twitter.com/OliverJenkinsNF/status/1550520459371851777?t=vI8My7r9XxvlnRJsI90ckw&s=19
  7. With Max linked to Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg and Marseille today, I imagine we must already have a new RB lined up to try and sign, with Mumba out on loan and Byram nursing a strain.
  8. Met Office 3pm reading for Cambridge is 39.9 - will it hit 40?! https://twitter.com/metoffice/status/1549404883744333824
  9. Looking forward to this one, as it's nice and local for me - but it's forecast to be 40 degrees in Cambridge with a red weather warning, and still mid to high 30s at kick off - so lot's of water breaks I imagine! Risk of postponement due to extreme heat? 🔥🔥🔥 Hopefully we take a good following. Many other posters attending?
  10. It certainly is local, but in the article it says that he didn't play at all last season for them, due to a health scare - which is why I think it's good to see him playing again.
  11. Nice to see that Cameron King will be playing locally again, after his issues with migraines stopped his progression in the pro game. Good luck to him this season. https://www.suffolknews.co.uk/thetford/norwich-fa-youth-cup-winner-follows-his-heart-back-to-thet-9261331/
  12. Oh dear, the depths to find something to get excited about and to get one over us has possibly reached a new low; https://www.suffolknews.co.uk/ipswich/sport/ipswich-town-shirts-outselling-norwich-city-as-blues-rocket-9213550/
  13. Sampdoria Vs AC Milan now live on BT Sport if anyone fancies some scouting!
  14. Unfortunately the Lotus logo on mine is clearly too far to one side, and I saw someone else comment about this on Twitter. The rubber J logo is glued on, but not all the way to the edges, so I'm not sure how long that will stay on - a bit like when they used a rubber crest a couple of seasons back and some peeled off. Why not just stitch it? Other than that, I prefer the cut to last season's, which was like wearing a tent! I'm a fan of the overall design, too.
  15. Just read this interview with Anthony Spyrou. I seem to remember him doing well in the academy, so it's interesting to read what happened to him after he left. https://www.suffolknews.co.uk/stowmarket/sport/stow-signing-opted-out-of-pro-game-9200116/
  16. Sky picked their weekend games earlier; Sheff Weds Vs Forest - Sat @ 12.30 Swansea Vs Derby - Sat @ 3
  17. Just read a nice piece on how Wes is getting on at Cambridge United - For anyone interested; https://www.cambridgeindependent.co.uk/sport/wes-hoolahan-casts-magic-at-cambridge-united-to-boost-promot-9195423/ "Seeing Wes Hoolahan glide across the Abbey Stadium pitch has an almost serene quality."
  18. Towards the end of the press conference Farke suggested there were reports of a couple of injuries to the guys still travelling back, and he'd need to wait on those before deciding who travels. Any clues yet to who those may be? All seemed to come through unscathed, although Todd was on the receiving end of an awful challenge.
  19. With The Times reporting today that social distancing and masks might have to be in place until the Autumn, possibly the end of the year, I wonder how much longer it will be until we get back to a full stadium? Incredible to think we're coming up to a year since the last one. What a great couple of nights they were, beating Leicester at home and Spurs away! Supposed to be going to see The Killers at Carrow Road in June - can't see that happening unfortunately.
  20. As the original fixture was scheduled to be on a Saturday, it means it costs ST holders a tenner.
  21. There was also an interview in the Bury Free Press back in July; https://www.suffolknews.co.uk/bury-st-edmunds/sport/matt-morton-s-story-being-openly-gay-in-non-league-football-9117180/
  22. Thanks Greavsy. I'm happy with the plan to use my full payment for next season, so works for me.
  23. Checking replies to posts you aren't interested in? Yes, I suppose you could call it obsessive. Either that, or you mistyped OTBC x
