  1. It appears we have lost a number of regular posters on here all of a sudden, demonstrating they are only interested in being negative. It would make their comments a bit more meaningful if they could also add the occasional positive comment. A couple of poor results and they''ll all be back and confirm they are only interested in rubbishing our Club.
  2. Enjoyed reading that piece, Drazen That game against Stoke was memorable because the great Stanley Matthews played at 50 yrs old, also Jimmy McIlroy, a fantastic Irish player. We had several injuries prior to the match and had to play several reserves, but what a result 6-0 in front of over 25,000. Very happy memories.
  3. Must be Jim Oliver - remember that brilliant hat trick against Stoke in 1965.
  4. So thats yet another good decision by the Board, whether by luck or judgement - who cares when it has put circa £10M in the Bank!!!
  5. Impatient lot these football fans - "Fer looks like he hasn''t a clue what to do".  This taken from Loft for words. Thanks goodness for that goal for Holland - got us another £4M I think.
  6. No idiots about today, then along he comes, not to disappoint with yet another ludicrous post.
  7. Just gone! Club record transfer so must be more than RVWs £8.5M. Good deal.
  8. Apologies for all that stuff after my post. I''ll have to learn how to copy and paste - Grandson come here a minute!!
  9. Interesting reading this comment today from the Stoke City Chairman which differs from the threads heading -  He said: "We have made offers for players this year. On Nathan Redmond, we were prepared to pay money. We met Norwich''s asking price, but the club didn''t want to sell and I don''t have any quarrel with Norwich for that". Seems to me we will only sell if we want to, and at the right price. e said: "We have made offers for players this year. On Nathan Redmond, we were prepared to pay money. 10. Indy two successive managers, plus their coaching staff haven''t considered him good enough - also Colin didn''t rate him. What does that tell us? and no bids/rumours about any interest!!
  11. re - If Becchio is so good where''s the offers for him?        He''s not part of the plans.Sure I read somewhere that Leeds Manager at the time, Colin, was keen to get Beccs off their books, hence the swap with our star man, Morison. Says it all really.
  12. Here we go again. Moan, moan, moan. Same people who said Lafferty would be awful - lets wait and see, but my first impressions: a good signing to complement our strikers. If he wears the Yellow and Green, I will give him 100% support.
  13. Adnams Out is so obviously a binner, its not worth wasting time reading his nonsense, or responding to it - Whoops I just did!  Anyway anybody called Adnams Out does not even recognise a good pint!
  14. And that is exactly the same scenario at every other Club - Marcus Evans etc. Surely even you understand that!
  15. The whole point of this new structure is to allow Adams to concentrate on the football issues, leaving all the routine stuff, paperwork, contracts, etc to the other members of the team. Thus he has more time than Lambert on the football related matters, not less.
  16. Daz - do what I do and ignore them. Fortunately their posts are usually very short, because they have little to say, and are easily ignored.
  17. A good piece and if it was too long for some, then why on earth do they need to tell us. Wiz thinks we are £60M worse off, but that is not the case is it? 60M less £23M for starters, less reduced wages, and running costs. When we see that Hull are paying Snod £60K per week and he is not going to be their top earner, it demonstrates the crazy world of Premiership football. That is surely going to change, and Norwich City will hopefully be very well placed by remaining a well run club without adopting the mantra of Premiership at any costs! The Southampton scenario is indeed a strange one - successful season by not being involved in anything much; no relegation fight, no chance of winning anything; and end up selling off several of their best players. Oh, and the Manager pretty keen to move on.  Well, lets hope we have a good season back in the Championship (just the one hopefully) which will endorse the OP''s point.
  18. Good for fitness and discipline, given Holt''s services background. A very good appointment if it comes off.
  19. I like what I read about John Park, who is being strongly linked, it seems, to the T.D. role. Has an excellent pedigree and would be ideal to work with Adams.
  20. All we need to do is ask Jimbo Canary his opinion on Wiz''s love for Adams in April turning into vitriolic anti Adams posts just one month later. Well, Jimbo, what do you think?
  21. I wonder at how many Clubs, such a short time after relegation, the Top 3 at their Club would be doing a live session like this - very few I suggest and that is what we have at Norwich City. Whatever our keyboard warriors, and occasionally Wizards think, these are committed people who will do everything they possibly can to make our Club successful. Good on them!!
  22. These concerns about having a defender as our next Manager, well two of my favourite Managers were Mike Walker (GK) and Dave Stringer (CH). John Bond was a full back, and a charasmatic and pretty successful Manager here too. Now Brian Hamilton, very good attacking player, so what sort of a Manager was he then?
  23. Is this the same Lambert the Villa fans hate with a passion and they say the worst Manager they have ever had. I do not want another Club''s reject.
  24. Looks like Cardiff starting to spend theirs already with the £3M striker bid. We can''t hang about with this appointment as a new striker is our priority and that''s one about to go.
