1. Fair points made, although I am concerned that the youngsters also are not yet ready evidenced in part by the Reserves performances, where we have a pretty poor record to date - 8 games this Season have yielded 2 wins, 3 draws, 3 losses,  12 goals scored, 15 conceded, and not excatly against top quality opponents. Milton Keynes level with us on points, but played 2 games less; and we''re behind Ipswich, Southend, Luton, Leyton Orient, & Colchester. Not really encouraging. Looks like we need an active January to significantly improve the overall squad
2. Football is and always will be, about opinions, and it is good and healthy to have alternative and well argued points of view. But what concerns me is that over the last Season and a Half, we have had a lot of anger and negativity on this and other Norwich City Boards, which we all understood and hoped would end when NW left. So, I ask myself, why are there still one or two Posters still apparently anxious to keep alive that negative and sometimes nasty style - the cynic in me might ask if they have ulterior motives or maybe in some cases allegiance elsewhere? Who knows, and I really hope thats not the case but I hope it ends and we can get back to being positive and support all the NCFC players in trying to get our Team promoted and trust our new Manager to pick the best Team for the Day, based on form, fitness and confidence. IMHO comments that one of our players should not live in Norfolk is not helpful.
3. Thats a disgraceful post which has no place on a pro NCFC board.
4. Thanks Nigel, for far more good times, than bad, despite the disappointments of the last 15 months or so. Football fans always have short memories, and it is too easy to criticise, but nobody can take away those special Championship Memories. And I think Peter Crouch should be thanking you for relaunching his career when he was being written off as a waste of money by all and sundry. Good luck for the future.
5. And just how long is the Queue for Sutton, then?  Haven''t we seen the benefit so far of a settled Team - taking him on your terms could be disruptive and is a solution I would not personally welcome.
6. In my opinion, Hunter is rather more an important part of the Jigsaw, rather than the catalyst. And lets not forget he was chosen by Worthington to work alongside him, and was persuaded to come here by Worthington. Presumably Worthy was aware that he favoured a passing game and variations of 4-5-1, 4-3-3, to suit that style of football, so I suggest its credit where its due, hey. Also now we are seeing what a very good player Etuhu really is, remind me who it was who saw that potential and brought him to us.
7. Now thats an interesting point. Could it be that we got the right man out after all.
8. In my opinion a good Manager manages and delegates responsibilities - just like any successful business, and Hunter is an excellent appointment to do what he is good at, coaching. Lets hope this becomes a top class partnership - most of the best Teams over the years have this in place, Clough and Taylor comes to mind with Taylor being a great Coach but a very poor Manager. Worthy was heavily criticised for buying Etuhu las season, and his performances were disappointing, but what I saw last night was a 200% improvement, as also with Robbo, who never wasted a ball. If Worthington and Hunter can work TOGETHER to improve the Team, lets give Worthy the credit for persuading him to come to Norwich. I liked the formation which switched from 4-5-1 to 4-3-3 smoothly and do not see any need for Sutton. Croft is a fantastic buy, and will get better and better as fitness improves. And what a buzz in the stadium again, without the negative vibes of last Year.
9.
lve not seen this £10,000 a game mentined by the club, itsUNFAIR of you to mention this unless you have the facts, not hearsay.
- Its quoted in todays EADT, in an article by Davis, back page. But all those clamouring for a Sutton return - why are Birmingham not interested as they saw him at first hand last season, and he is also quoted as saying he wants to play for them again. Is Kuqi really a better player, if the report today that Birmingham want him is correct.
10. Are you his Agent in disguise?  Various reports suggest the Pay as you Play option will cost not less than £10,000 per Game. That is not a realistic option. Birmingham had a good look at him last Season and guess what - they are looking everywhere for a Striker, including Kuqi, but not Sutton. Anyway, do we really need a Big Man upfront to encourage the Hoofball tactics of last Season, as by all accounts the 4-5-1 on Saturday worked really well, switching to 4-3-3 when we counter attacked with 3 quick men going fwd. Surely thats a recipe for better football. We shall see on Tuesday.
11. Are you sure about that Wiz - Sutton scored 1 goal last Season for Birmingham (admittedly played only 11 games due to injuries - what was that about Sick Notes?) And in 28 games for Chelsea he also scored 1 goal. I would like to see a front line of Earnie and McKenzie with Hucks and Croft on the flanks - that would give us pace and I think would work well in the Championship.
12. Or perhaps he''s pondering over whether to sign for a Club with far too many negative fans!  Croft appears to have exactly the right pedigree for us - he''s young, he''s a rt winger, is not too expensive, and no doubt his ability is known to Hunter via England Youth. If he signs, (If!!) than lets hope he gets 100% support as any Norwich City player should.
13. Couldn''t help but compare our situation to Readings, with the recent comments from their Chairman and Manager. Its just not that easy to buy quality footballers, so maybe we should be more patient with Worthington, and not expect him to buy any player who is available, regardless of ability. Quote ... But Madejski warned the fans not to expect any superstar new signings. He said: "As the manager has said, we will have to wait until the big six have had their feast and see what is left. It is pretty sad really, waiting for the crumbs off the rich man''s table."
14. Compared to last Pre Season, our expectations have dropped significantly, and I actually think that is a reason to be cheerful (ish). We went into those three Home Games last August believing we needed to turn up to get that season off with an easy 9 pts and the rest, as they say, is History. With expectations now so low, a reasonably good start will make us all feel more positive. A bad start, and many will simply say, "Told You So" and the WO campaign will gather pace, but in the meantime, its that time of year when we all hope for a strong start, at least beyond our more modest expectations this time around. OTBC.
15. There was a very recent Report that ST Holders across the Country were not renewing in there thousands, including the Mighty Prem Fans - the report stated that circa 25% were not renewing and quoted several Clubs, such as Villa, whose renewals were down 31% I also noted that Sheff Wed were celebrating a massive 12000 renewals. So our 20000, despite a drop in renewals of 10%, is one of the best by a long way.
16. But then there''s a certain Peter Crouch, who its fair to say kick started his career again at our place - he was going nowhere and the Villa Fans were unanimous in their criticisms of him. So lets take a balanced view when looking at those who underperform here.
17. According to the Football Fans Census survey just completed and reported today in the Press, 29% of Season Ticket Holders in England will not be renewing their STs next season, due to Cost and/or Poor Standards of Football. Interesting that we do not feature despite the unrest, yet Southampton are 27% down, Wolves 28% down  amongst others. What does that tell us? Perhaps generally there is an acceptance that standards are down across all Teams, not just ours. And a change of Manager is not necessarily going to make any major difference.
18. The fantastic Goal he scored at Leeds would be worth seeing again. He gets far too much criticism - I''ve been a regular at Carrow Rd since 1950s and I for one like his attitude esp his willingness to play out of position for much of the season.
19. So a deal done to avoid paying the Interest on the Loans. Sounds a bit like back door administration to me - perhaps our neighbours should have 10 pts deducted.
20. This has just got to be a Wind Up - JR: an advocate for the Long Ball Game and one Lone Striker. Plays 4-5-1 even at Home. Hoof Hoof in other words. Is that what you want?  Looking at who might be available if we ditch Worthington, I would put Royle at about number 200. Now Billie Davies at Preston would be a far better choice, if we really are in the Market for a new Manager (however unlikely)
21. I have a feeling that the Votes for POTS which will be revealed tomorrow, will reveal quite a bit - in my humble opinion, if the decision goes to Paul McVeigh, its a form of WO protest for a player who has been symbolic of anti-Worthington feelings; if it goes to Gary Doherty, whose votes are more likely to come from the so called Silent Majority, then its probably a vote for the wait and see lobby; and the third candidate must be Hucks - KTFs man?  Whatever happens, lets hope for better things all round next Season, and 100% support from us all for NCFC.
22. .....because the clown got a win at Cardiff ..... Thats excatly the sort of remark that I find deeply offensive and whilst I have had some sympathy with the WO at cause at times, this sort of comment is making me think again. I do not want to be associated with any group of so called Norwich Fans that care to use that sort of language. I''m off, initially to the Silent Majority, to wait and see how the start of next season goes, and I''m now prepared to give Worthy 8 games to get us off to a better start and if we are there or thereabouts, great, but if we are struggling again, then we must look for a new man then, but not before.
23. Saint Canary concluded - ... the extreme views held by some supporters of the "WO" and "KTF" fractions, culminated in the extremely sour, agitated and highly unpleasant atmosphere I had the misfortune to witness on Monday.  11 hours spent in the car to hear my own players jeered and away goals cheered was not what I had in mind for Easter Monday. Couldn''t agree more! I find this whole debate about Nigel Worthington to be nasty, and whilst I am of the opinion that it is time for a change, because of the way that the WO campaign is being conducted and the tone of most of the anti Worthington remarks, I could not associate myself in any way with the WO mob. The Club I have supported for almost 50 Years is in danger of falling apart because of this vitriolic and distasteful debate!
