I supported Norwich but not Roeder when he destroyed our squad and started slagging off our players like Drury, Cureton and Hoolahan. I am surprised you supported him during this time Nutty.
This very aptly shows the difference in peoples perception ....it is the club that I support ...not necessarily the manager , however ,, if he is doing a good , or even a decent job , then he will also have my support . Never forget the mangers who walked out on NCFC ...not just the last one !

 3.
Poor Malky must be wondering what he`s gotta do to get a whole season in the PL
I think he did at Watford ?
 4. Disregard the critical comments ....well written and entertaining .. Happy Xmas Daniel
 5.

I''ve often thought Hughton''s skillset would be better suited to a director of football role than a manager
Hughton''s biggest strength is on the training field with the players - turning him into a Director of Football would lose that. Although he has proven he has a sharp eye for a transfer.
How do you know that ? Do you attend training at Colney ? Lambert was well known to have little input in the training , is Hughton different in his approach ?
 6.
We were resorting to long balls far too often in the second half as we were trying to press them high up the pitch, and were lucky not to concede by playing so high up. When we had possession in the first half without pressing so high up we looked a lot more balanced and better able to defend with our customary two banks of four. I think Hughton was trying to force it to 2-1 and then sit back and counter-attack.The weakest areas were central defence and defensive midfield, both in the sense that we lack playmaking quality in these positions. We need to be able to do more than play it simply to our midfielders or hoof it upfield, especially when we''re being penned back.
In fariness , if you had been at the game ,, instead of watching it on the radio ..you would have known that we were not being penned back ,,, as I sit a few rows in from the pitch ,, I can tell you for sure that Swansea hardly got into our half in the second 45 mins . The long balls ,, which I don''t condone , were an effort to get more quickly into the last third ,,which almost worked , bar some goal line clearances and saves .Try getting to a game, you ''ll enjoy it .
 7.
In this instance I prefer to accept Grant Holt''s published interpretation of the tactics employed whilst he was at Carrow Road. I would like you to be right though.
THIS
 8. Would loved to have seen him play, he''d be red carded after three minutes these days. You must be a lot younger than me then ..I used to watch him ,,,, Paddon , foggo , Bone etc etc
 9. Canary girl and Reg .. have your number LDC..as do I . Key board warrior ...you are Hughton ! I claim my £10
 10.
They''ll worm their way out again no doubt. The problem for championship clubs is that it''s such an umpredictable league, and the prize is massive. Town just need that one good run and then premiership footy will wipe them debts in about 2 years.
You think ??? It took us £ years to get rid of £25 million !!!
 11.
Nash wasn''t signed as a last resort pretty much. Don''t think he''s even as good as Camp, and we didn''t really want to play him. Do we even know what is wrong with Bunn?
Ankle operation ...out for another 4/5 weeks
 12. W e now have the worst goal difference in the EPL Thanks Chris ....now do what Peter Grant did ...show some honour ...admit you are out of your depth ...and walk ...please /
 13.
Is 14k that bad? It''s about half what we get, but then we are in the Premier League after all. I have the atypical view that I''d like them promoted. A couple of Derby games in a season is sorely lacking
The difference is that we would have 25k when we were in league one and the championship !!! BINNER
 14.
The Great Mass Debater wrote the following post at 02/12/2013 6:20 PM: " ....though I do think Wes did very well on the right, despite how unnatural it is for him...." The goal came when Redmond was playing on the right and Hoolahan on the left. They interchanged positions most of the game. We see this adaptability with Pilkington as well, often he drifts over to the right, it seems to be a Hughton tactic.
I believe that was an "oxymoron" Hughton tactic ?
 15.
Well, despite what people want to believe, you''d struggle to find a game this season where Bennett has been superior to Turner or Bassong. He''s doing alright but no more than that. Turner and Bassong will remain the two first choices when push comes to shove. But, as we well know, we''ve got injury problems in the squad and are not that well stocked at centreback. Plenty of fixtures over the Christmas period and with Turner carrying a slight knock and having a few yellow cards to his name it''s surely just sensible to keep all three recognised centrebacks available and on their toes.
You really should try attending a game !! Bennet was a world ahead of Bassong on Saturday against palace ... you could at least make an effort before posting complete rubbish ...... over and over ..
 16.
I am at a loss to understand why people think Russ Martin had a poor game, SKY ratings gave him a 7 with the following words, "Broke down the right wing well to earn a number of corners for Norwich" The BBC match thread included the following; 36:17 Russell Martin (Norwich City) wins a free kick on the right wing. 75:40 Russell Martin (Norwich City) wins a free kick in the defensive half. 90:00 +1:19 Russell Martin (Norwich City) wins a free kick on the right wing. Whoscored.com a keeper of stats, rated him the second highest score behind Seb Bassong, he also had the highest % pass completeion of the entire defence and midfield and he had more touches than any other player (see below) 87% Pass Accuracy 80% Aerials Won 87 Touches 7.6 Rating So let''s summarise, he obviously got forward a lot, as SKY and the BBC indicate by their reports, he won a numbers of corners, he won a number of free kicks, he made the original pass that set up the goal, he played his part in keeping a clean sheet, he has an 87% pass completeion % and kept their winger quiet for pretty much the entire match, so what more does the man have to do to please you?
you weren''t there to see his poor performance ,, stats can be very misleading
 17.
Seb looked shakey yesterday...didn''t win too much in the air and some of his touches were short or hesitantly executed and because he wasn''t his usual assertive self, relied on putting the ball to Ollsen too often when he was being squeezed putting pressure on his left back as a consequence. He''s going to need another game before we see him at his best but whether that needs to be against Liverpool, I don''t know! Dropping him for the game could also effect his confidence. I feel the Liverpool game is make or break for him?
Absolutely 100% correct summary of Bassong yesterday .... poor by any standard let alone his higher level of achievement . I have to presume that the posters saying he looked good and was getting better , were obviously not at the game ,,,, and either read or listened .....he was poor and the question about should he be dropped for Liverpool .. I think probably ,, besides ,,, Turner had done nothing wrong ,,,, Bennet has improved dramatically and fully deserved to be playing . We need our strongest team on the field at all times ,, regardless of pecking order ,, or how much we paid for their services .
 18.
Becchio isnt playing because he isnt good enough...is he really better than RVW, Hooper and Elmander?? REALLY???his time may well come, but not yet.its got nothing to do with Hughton "Liking" him.. its for footballing reasonsif Becchio leaves it wont be to another Premiership club.. that''s got nothing to do with him not playing, its to do with him not being up to the standard.
The more I read your posts ....the more you convince me that not only have you never been to carrow road , but I don''t think you even watch the games we play ! How can you say Becchio isn''t good enough ??? Read the other posts !!! It might give you a clue !!
 19.
Maybe I don''t make myself clear, or maybe people only read into things what they want to read into them. I never said we were brilliant. I have repeatedly said we need to improve and Hughton needs to improve. We have been poor on several occasions either through lack of confidence or bad tactics or injuries or a mixture of those things. I am not uber positive. I simply try to see things as they are without having them dressed up in some egotistical "In" or "Out", black or white scenario. If we were bottom and cut off from the rest I would be calling for change. But we are not.
TOTALLY deluded
 20. absolutely this !!! Some pretty sensible posting and discussion on this forum at the moment, with the exception of a few of course!
To put it bluntly, under Lambert, even though we were the new kids on the block, we played liked we belonged here, that this was OUR yard (even on the road) but under the current managerial regime we too often approach games like we''ve been neutered and like we don''t really belong here. We need to grow back the missing pair and don''t take sh!t from anyone. Ya we got smacked around a couple of times with Lambert but we never played scared.
21. You very obviously didn''t see any of the games he played in !! ruddy has not offered anything more since he returned ......unfortunately ..... Bunn is recovering from an operation on his ankle ...we have to stick with Ruddy ...who like some other senior players of late , have been seriously letting us all down .
Bunn was just so very average last season - overrated.
