1.
USA has much eadier qualifying so will be in every cup whereas England could miss a few. USA seems to be producing more high quality players than ever whereas England seems to be producing fewer, albeit still far more than America. England SHOULD do it first but seem headed in the wrong direction, and having a top league dominated by foreign talent limits the opportunities for slower developing players to really blossom.
I am not trying to pick an argument ,,, but who in the USA squad do you consider to be a high quality player ? I can only really suggest that Tim Howard has been , but must be coming to the end of his career sooner rather than later . The rest of the squad are industrious ,,, but I am not sure that quality is the correct description . Genuinely interested to know from your point of view please .

RELEASE THE KRAKEN Americans will never get football
Which must make it all the more frustrating to the English that the USA team seems to have more willingness and attitude to progress a little longer than England in the World Cup.
There is no frustration because of the short comings of the manager and the English squad, the outcome was inevitable before a ball was kicked . The frustration is the fact that the USA players do seem to have been motivated ,,,by a German I might add,,its the inability of the nation to grasp the game .
I see. Was it more frustrating that, in the past, the English squad were not more motivated by an Italian? [;)]
Indeed !! or a Swede !!
 3.
Exactly, YS. BS48 doesn''t grasp the concept of stunned silence, nor does he know much about American sports or culture and is feeling his superiority complex overheat to compensate for his ignorance. Lame District failed too. Must''ve forgotten Aussie, Canadian and rugby football use oval shaped balls.
Oh No !!! I fully understand the concept of stunned silence ...after all I have been a City fan for a long time ! What I was witnessing was confusion ,,,,the local papers and MSN ( the US version) All ran Very simplified instruction on how to support a soccer game ,,, including not calling it soccer !! I don''t think it is me who is failing to grasp .

 5. My recent USA football experience was summed up a few nights ago when I inadvertently walked into a bar while USA were playing Portugal ... the usual chanting took place after Clint Dempsey put them 2-1 up ,,, however.. when Portugal equalised ,,, it went deadly silent . Not having the possibility of a draw in most sport over there,,, there was total bewilderment ,,,silence,...they didn''t know what had happened ...one minute it was USA,,USA ...the next everyone just wandered off ,,, must have thought that when Portugal scored , and they were no longer winning ,,obviously they must have lost ..hilarious .
 6. Oh ! and another thing while we are on it ! How does the world cup offer any consolation whatsoever ??? Plastics !
 7.
I feel exactly the same as when I heard Adams was appointed; disappointed and angry with the club, the difference now is that I realise some people are fine/happy about it (which is not a dig at them, its not like I know that Adams will do well or not, it may turn out to be a masterstroke).
Pretty much this .....I don''t really understand a fan who says " I am over it now " Show me a good loser ....and I will show you a loser ............as the saying goes .
 8.
If we are down and out, let the youngsters try and CR. We have absolutely nothing to lose.Lets see Shaw, Lallana, Barkley, Sterling. Don''t take them for the experience. Actually give them some.By no means poor performances from England, but let''s look to the next generation as they''ll be leading us into the Euro''s
Brilliant idea! ///teach them what it feels like to be a loser !! Along with the idiot of a manager ,,, taking the youth instead of seasoned professionals is what got us into this position ,,,do you believe if Ashley Cole and John Terry were in the team we would have conceded the same way ?? Woy is probably on par with the Brolly chap as far as England managers go .
 9.
Joe Harts not the problem, its nice to have a decent GK for a change.
Really ?? You sure about that ??? You should have watched the game !
 10.
You should just shut the FCUK UP!!! Other supporters have MASSIVELY different viewpoints to you and let us not forget it was YOU (and others that shared your views) that called it WRONG!NCFC did not get relegated because of so called ''negativity'' from its support, they were relegated because of the negativity from its first team management team-and the defeatist mindset that that instilled in the players, and the complacency of the board in failing to react to the situation that was unfolding in front of their eyes!!!Quit with your hectoring as,as you should have gathered from last season it makes FCUK ALL difference to what happens in the stands,be it CR or elswhere, or on the pitch!!!
THIS !!!
 11. I tried to buy tickets for Wednesday ,, the booking site said sold out ...the place was mostly empty ,,where did you book yours ? I am in Fort Lauderdale right now , so 30 mins drive to the stadium .
 12. Well ! there you go Nigel ! after saying yesterday that I was yet to be convinced ....one action from the club and I am feeling a whole lot more positive :) OTBC
 13. Hi NN, the felling I got was from the demeanour of Neil Adams ,, who I admire I will just say ,,it seemed to me , that he was not totally convinced about what he was saying ,, although that is possibly just his natural persona ,, maybe ? Like I said , I admire him for his achievements , both playing and coaching the youth , also as his former position on Radio Norfolk ! never has been the same since he left . However , as much as I want to feel positive , as you do , I have yet to be convinced by anything I hear ,, too much of it sounds like rhetoric to appease fans .... am I being overly cynical perhaps ? Honestly I hope so ....all I want is for a return to feeling good about our beloved club !
 14.
Exciting times. It''s getting easier to buy into this by the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4OPm08joow&feature=youtu.be
I like your optimism :) I was going to make a flippant comment about you getting excited easily ! ,, but actually I am yet to be convinced ,, all I am hearing,, is what the hierarchy at NCFC want the fans to believe ,, However , as many of us are saying on this forum ,, I will get behind the team,, and staff ,, and will be happy to have my fears allayed once the season begins ..OTBC
 15.
Are you basing this on Gary Holt''s lack of footballing ability or his coaching ability, because he achieved more in football as a player than Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho and he was only three points away from taking Falkirk to the SPL last season. Edgar Davids got Barnet relegated, but was a world superstar, a world class player and internationally famous. Would that have been acceptable, or do we accept that he probably isn''t a very good coach?
All you have just done is contradicted yourself ! What is your point ? That non football playing coaches make good managers ?
 16.
This is a very ill thought out opinion. Did you have any idea what Holt brought to the club in a coaching capacity previously? Did you do any research into his role or even care at the time? What do you know about Royle''s attitude to and knowledge of football? People like yourself with such opinions just take the name with a shallow assessment of character, and decide we''re doomed. Come on. Why not actually think about it?
Condescending pr*t ...I obviously know considerably more than you do , having given these appointments ...all of them ...along with the rhetoric coming from certain members of the board ,,,and frighteningly ,,, only certain members , a fair amount of thought ,, I stand by my conclusions.
 17. By the time I get off the other end and read the happenings at NCFC,,, any chance of promotion back to the Premier league seems to have gone up in smoke !! I am really staggered by the appointments , disappointed ,, and quite frankly I cannot see what anyone is going to bring to the club ....maybe Gary Holt can train people to have three lungs ?? " Never mind any skill lads , I can get you running around like a headless chicken on steroids !! " I will always support ,, and get behind the team ... but.. FFS! It is like all ambition has been abandoned !
 18.
I see Danny Higginbotham said it was a cheap option choice , Dean Ashton the same , you can fool the bumpkins of Norfolk very easily but level headed people know it was a money saving exercise a manager who will say yes to everything the board wants .
You binners maybe find some amusement at the happenings at Carrow Road during the closed season . However ...remember the A*se raping that you got at the hands of the Mighty NCFC last time you had the misfortune of attempting to compete against us ???? Be afraid Binners ..... be very afraid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 19.
BEEP!BEEP!BEEP! WARNING, VEHICLE REVERSING They can backtrack all they like, They said those things. Some of those things will look hilarious were someone to bring them up in a few months.
If there is one thing that you can guarantee on this forum ,,,it is that previous posts will be resurrected to " shame" those involved !!
 20. If you REALLY wanted it on one thread ...why didn''t you add it to the one that already exists ??
 21.
I agree, credibility and player retention are my biggest concerns too. Just saying that I see no reason to completely panic because the bloke does appear to have the attributes to be a capable manager. I''m underwhelmed as well but trying to look on the bright side.
We three obviously share the same sentiment ,, love the club ,,, want to feel the pride of achievement ,, but this same affinity also fuels the fears , I actually believe that if we manage to retain the nucleus of the squad ,,, and Mc Nally ,,,, we will do well next year ,, and it could be the most exciting since league one year :)
 22.
A passing game built on midfield interplay and quick ball to the wings with a ''little and large'' strike force, the smaller striker as predator and the larger as target man and hold up expert.
Like when we had Ted Mac Dougal and Phil Boyer ... bor ? Nice :)
 23. Nice to read a decent and reasoned response to the situation . I am personally bitterly disappointed in the fact that the Club " seem" to have taken the cheap/easy option ,, together with some information I was given ( rightly or wrongly ) seeming that this was a decision not made by consensus. However ,, my biggest fear is not that NA lacks capability ,,, but credibility ,,, leading to the possible defection of valued players , who are at present on the books ,, to the necessary additions to the squad not having the confidence to come here due to the management . Now with the stories about , NA wanting an assistant who the board rejected ..and no news on a confidence inspiring DOF or whatever title it may be ... I feel deflated ...as often before being a supporter of NCFC for well over 40 years now !
 24.
If RvW leaves, and it looks as if he may, he will be one of a few players of whom people will be asking "Why couldn''t he play like that for us?". He, like so many other players, have had their game ripped to shreds by the previous manger. In the last two years, how many of our players have improved?
This is the only sensible reply on this thread !!! Is it just coincidence that all the criticism comes from the plastics who rarely if ever have seen a game in real life ???? You know who you are !!
 25. Never mind..... "give it time " Just "give it a rest " you plastic Tw*t
