  1. It looks like I was wrong. It's not taken 10-20 years. There are Republican's that are already moving to have Biden taken off the ballot. Aaron Bernstine (Pennsylvania), Cory McGarr (Arizona) Charlice Byrd (Georgia) and Bill Eigel (Misouri). This is what happens when you sow chaos, you reap chaos. Although to be fair, Biden is so unelectable that they are probably (un)democrats in disguise.
  2. is what happens when apathy sets in. There, I finished your sentence for you.
  3. I was about to say I can't wait to see who we won't be playing in the 4th round.
  4. Which still remains the highest finishing position in English football by a team with a minus goal difference and a record we are not likely to ever lose.
  5. I have attended a few Bristol Rovers home games when I lived in that part of the world. I always used to stand in the North Terrace with the "noisy boys", so the noise coming from the away end on Saturday was not a surprise. They always seemed to generate a great atmosphere for their home games.
  6. You are right Fen, using finance to put people who will be sympathetic to you in a position of power is not a new phenomenon, it has happened throughout human history. The worry is the weaponisation of social media and how it is polarising western society. We have got to a point where if you voted for Brexit, your are my enemy because I didn't want to leave the EU or you voted for Biden so we can never have any common ground. I am naturally a cynic, and seeing quotes from the WEF leader Klaus Schwabb along the lines on "by 2030 you will own nothing and be happy" does not reduce my cynicism. Does that mean "Santa" Klaus will burn all of his money and become poor to obtain happiness? Or is it more likely that he will keep his immense wealthy because he wants to control every aspect of your life? As for feudalism, I completely agree it will always be with us, but everyone knows it is wrong, humans are all equal in the eyes of God, but not within the eyes of (most) men. MLK wanted a person to be judged by the content of their character, but sadly many on the left judge them by the colour of their skin. "Oh you are not white? You must need a hand up because you can not possibly be capable of the same achievements a white person is".
  7. This is a very well thought out post and I appreciate it. Many parts of it I agree with and there is also a lot that I think is wide of the mark. The main mistake is equating the US with the UK, as Churchill said we are two nations divided by a common language. The UK is a constitutional monarchy, the US a democratic republic. Although we speak the same language, our political systems are very different. The American public is responsible for the election of their leader, and while we hold general elections, it is the king who is ultimately responsible for appointing the leader of the UK government (although no king would dare challenge the populace as they might find themselves in another Charles I situation). America is becoming more and more divided though, as I think the UK also is, this is why the Tories were able to win so many seats in the north, a traditional left stronghold. There are many on both sides of the Atlantic that spout the rhetoric that they want to be inclusive, however if your views do not align with theirs's they demand that you be shut down. That is not inclusivism it is totalitarianism. I agree with you that capitalism is not sustainable. It is based on a system of usury. However, communism has been proven over and over again to end with a despot ruling. Now the naive will say "well Marxism has never been applied correctly" and the truth is that they are right and that it never will, because there will always be a Stalin, Pol Pot or Kim that will abuse the system for their own gain. This is human nature. Is Trump the answer? I do not believe so, but to disenfranchise roughly half of the US population who do support him by preventing him from running is a dangerous precedent. What if 10 or 20 years from now the people in power decide that your preferred candidate needs to be prevented from running for parliament (or office) because they detest them, would you be happy to accept their decision?
  8. Gotta say I was very impressed with the sausage roll. I hadn't eaten all day so thought I would give them a whirl, very filling.
  9. This is what you said. You need to provide proof of your statement that you have been arrested as an insurrectionist and nothing I said was true, otherwise everyone has to doubt you a a witness. That's how the legal system in a democracy works my friend. But you don't want democracy, do you?
  10. Still waiting for your answer, have you been arrested as an insurrectionist?
  11. Yes, and the ignorance is on your part. Trump did not overthrow the government, he did not even attempt it. Because of his ego he wanted a demonstration claiming the election was stolen, which the democrats also claimed in 2016, but Hilary was not arrested for attempting a coup (although her and her husband should have been arrested on more severe charges, such as treason for holding classified information or other things that have recently come to light, but they will never see their day in court). I don't know why you can't understand the hypocrisy in this. Maybe your TDS is lowering your IQ or maybe you are a hypocrite yourself? Just a thought.
  12. So can we agree that if Trump should have the key thrown away for not associating with Epstien, so should Clinton and anyone else that was, according to the list, associated with him? No trial just lock them all up for life yes?
  13. Yellow fever too has been arrested as an insurrectionist? Why else would he (sorry they) like your comment? Or is it that you are both disingenuous and you know it?
  14. WHAT! You've been arrested as an insurrectionist?
  15. Interestingly, this whole thread was started by people who thought Trump stole the 2016 election. Make of that what you will. But I don't believe any one of them has been arrested as insurrectionists.
  16. Birdie, you have gained my respect because I have agreed on many subjects with you over the last few months. In this though, you are wrong. Putin often uses the Russian courts to prevent his political rivals from being a threat to his power. This is exactly what the (un)democrats are doing. They despise Trump so much, like many who live in Norwich because they are "all in" on a leftist agenda, that they think that the ends justify the means. Was Trump ill advised in holding a rally challenging the decision of the 2020 election? Probably, but only because the (un)democrats were playing the long game and set a trap that he has willingly walked into because of his ego. Was it a coup? No, a coup is an attempt by the military to overthrow the current government of a country. Now I appreciate that the US military are now "inclusive", but I doubt that old women, unarmed civilians and a guy in a buffalo hat form the main arm of the US army, they are not that "inclusive". Was it an insurrection? Again no and see my answer for coup as to why not. It was a mainly peaceful protest (leftist words to describe violent protests not mine), but this mainly peaceful protest did not involve the destruction of property because they didn't get their own way. Anyone who claims otherwise is disingenuous or just believes that the ends justify the means and I have no time for them. Either way you should be more terrified of those that think the ends justify the means than you are of Trump, because they will come for you when you say something they don't agree with (and that boat has already sailed my friend).
  17. You're missing my point. I don't know if it is intentionally, I haven't made my point clearly enough or if you just lack the mental capacity to understand what I am saying (with Horsefly I know it is the latter so I won't address his response)? The democrats have bounded about the word "insurrection" just for this reason, so they can use the 14th amendment undemocratically to attempt to prevent a political rival from running. It is Putin-esque. You cannot "save democracy" (a phrase democrats are currently fond of bounding about in their propaganda) by preventing democracy. I hope you can understand that?
  18. I agree with the op, as long as that one player is Lionel Messi.
  19. Oh and p.s. Everything I have said has been logical and consistent and it has always made sense. I am sorry you don't understand logic and common sense. I get it, common sense is my super power.
  20. Happy new year. I would ask that you read my post again. "Yes it's funny how people who are so anti the literal application of the 2nd amendment of the US constitution have arrested plenty of pensioners so that they can twist the 14th amendment to fit their political agenda." I never said anyone had been arrested under the 2nd amendment, you are just twisting my words, as those who are twisting the 14th amendment to suit the political agenda. What I meant was over 950 people, including pensioners, have been arrested and charged with insurrection (which it was not, it was actually less of a protest than what was led by Rashida Talib as the doors were opened for the J6 protesters, where Talib's cronies actually stormed the Capitol), so that the Democrats can pull their "it's the most free and fair election ever" trick again whilst preventing the majority of voting for their preferred candidate because he has been charged under the 14th amendment. It's quite North Korean. Prevent democracy whilst proclaiming to be the People's Democratic Republic.
  21. Yes it's funny how people who are so anti the literal application of the 2nd amendment of the US constitution have arrested plenty of pensioners so that they can twist the 14th amendment to fit their political agenda. The people of the United States should 100% vote for them, they are not corrupt in any way.
