1. Playing for the point is actually the right strategy in this game. Not the most fun to watch, but a point in the hand is worth...er...some analogy.
 2.

elmander has given us something more!!! done more in 10 mins than Ricky has all night... I think we need to be asking questions of RVW now....
Maybe we need to try RVW with elmander. Hooper and RVW doesn''t work.
^This^All. Day. Long.Hooper and RvW in a 4-4-2 is not effective.
 3. Defense is starting to look a little steadier. The last 15 minutes have been more even. Glad the team decided to show up...eventually.
 4. Bassong has had two impressive shots on goal. Wrong goal, unfortunately.
 5. Cracking save. Hope it''s the last one he needs to make for the night.
 6.
Have I woken up in some sort of parallel universe where our fans are utter morons?
Regrettably, that''s just the normal universe. The parallel version is a delightful place full of intelligent discussions about football and cakes that won''t make you fat.
 7.
No way that he''s moving - at least not this window. He has something none of our other wingers have - the ability to score goals.
I''m inclined to agree. Pilks is staying.
 8. The ugly criticism is just so loud and constant in this place that it''s hard to take any of it seriously. I still back CH and I will until he''s sacked. That doesn''t mean that I''m blind to all criticism, but the uncivil snarking on this board has made it an unpleasant place to visit. Hard to have a debate about management, tactics and club performance when the counterpoint is a constant cry of, "Hoooton out! The man is a joke!"
 9.
I would rather have our football club supported by fans like you than the negative trolls who largely make up the population of users on this forum.
Here here.
 10. Look at the bottom half if the table right this minute and take a mental picture. This is exactly what it will look like at the end of the season. The bottom five are especially set in stone.
 11.
whittaker and Olsson have been poor today
I''d say that Whittaker has been mediocre and that Olsson has been piss poor. I wouldn''t be upset to see our entire back four totally replaced. They''ve been weak all season.
 12.
The manager should have cleared away the dead wood that is Snodgrass and Pilkington long ago but it''s left to an injury "crisis" to get players in the team who actually deserve to be there.
So Snodgrass and Pilkington are DEAD WOOD? Surely you must have been inhaling reactor paint when you wrote that.
 13.

RVW wouldn''t have been there to score the goal hooper did...
So your alternate reality TV channel is tuned in to the game?
he had the same chance away at spurs.. he fluffed iteither way.. back to the game!
Oh, now I understand how it works.  He didn''t do it that one time so he''ll never do it again. Regardless of whether he''s done it before.
 14. Would be nice if Fer would shake the sleepy dust from his eyes and start playing. He hasn''t shown up yet.
 15.
RVW wouldn''t have been there to score the goal hooper did...
So your alternate reality TV channel is tuned in to the game?
 16. Finally! A thread where a professional editor, such as myself, can shine. I shall strive to be a fair and agreeable judge.
 17.
Portland home games look like a blast.
They really are. They''ve sold out every single home game since their promotion into MLS. Even the friendly against Norwich was nearly sold out. Fantastic home support. If you''re ever in the area and want to catch a game, look me up.
 18. What a horrible result. Not sure why City can''t shake the hoodoo at The Statium of Economic Blight. I''m still backing them to win the league, but it''s getting nervy. FWIW, Sunderland is still a crap team and relegation fodder.
 19.
Hey, PC. You guys really took Seattle to the woodshed and put a beating on them. Maybe it''ll be a Timbers-Dynamo final :)
I suspect it will be! Should be good fun to watch. I''m going to game two vs RSL.
 20. A player spitting on the pitch would be a clear sign of a revolt against Happless Hughton and his negative tactics. Hughton Out!
 21. Just to clarify, the entire point of this post was to remind us that other teams picking up points is bad? Was the OP under the impression that this was secret "insider" knowledge?
 22. Thanks for reminding me not to enjoy a good win. Not sure what came over me.
 23. If we play as well as we have a few times this season, it is entirely possible to beat Newcastle. Palace should be a walk in the park. Liverpool...well, i don''t expect a win there. 6 points.
