£45 Women's Season Ticket
BSEYELLOW replied to essex canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
They are not full time pros. Their wage bill will be nothing remotely close to £1million a year at this stage. Id be surprised if it was 20% of that if im honest. -
He made 1, poor, appearance for us and got canned due to terrible attitude. Has turned himself around after being released on a free by Spurs. Very surprised he has managed it, but well done to the lad!

A well-managed game.

I'm not saying we should, but that's the only way to play all of those mentioned. Sara in the hole, Sainz left, Rowe right, Nunez in CM -
A well-managed game.

By dropping Barnes. -
Hadn't they won 6 in a row before today?

The difference being, Man City's and West Ham's were built as the centerpiece stadiums for international events and then converted so as not to waste them. I havent seen this story in detail, but is Ratcliffe just expecting it to be built without a specific event attached? Will surely be a no go for Gov funding if so.

Exactly this. We may not want him to stay beyond the end of this season, but fully supporting him and the team until the end is a must. We have a chance to build some momentum for the next guy, hopefully Cuesta, so let's show some humility and give Wagner and the boys a real welcome this afternoon!

Forshaw off to Plymouth !
BSEYELLOW replied to norfolkngood's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It depends on the player, the reason they are a free transfer and the number of offers they have. A player in their prime that lets their contract run down and leaves on a free, who has 5 offers from clubs competing to sign them will, of course, hold all the chips and will demand a high signing on fee and higher wages. A player who has declined from their peak where they signed a big contract, and is now released as they are not the player they once were (Forshaw last summer, perhaps Gibson this coming summer being 2 examples) will likely not have multiple clubs of our stature/budget competing to sign them. A free transfer will always likely manage to secure a signing fee if the club actually wants them, its what agents are there for. Forshaw was not on big wages and took a drop from his Leeds contract. He didnt have them wanting to renew at his old wages, so he didnt have the form, fitness, nor a competing offer to use to negotiate from. -
In hindsight how good were Southampton?

West Brom Predictions
BSEYELLOW replied to Midlands Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think this is the game we show some real football to add to the decent results, if not always performances, of late. 3-0 Sainz, Rowe, Sara -
Whether he is sacked now or in January, the total outlay is the same, just it all goes out now if we sack him this week. But surely putting Pelach or someone already at the club, in charge has to be better. Just go back to basics for a game or 2. Doesn't cost anything extra... which is why him staying is so utterly mindless

Steady the ship…..warnock
BSEYELLOW replied to Bradwell canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Telegraph reporting he wants to take the QPR job after they sacked Ainsworth last night. He isn't coming here for 2 months, he had nothing to gain from that and we do not have a giant pot of money to throw at hin to give him an incentive. -
This season feels like it hinges on Forshaw stepping up, being that screen in front of the back 4, doing well and staying injury free. The center back pairing are being made to look far worse than they are by constantly having players running through on them. If there is better protection, I think some of the mistakes will start to be removed. Massive game for him, has to be disciplined, sit and cut out a lot of danger before it gets to Duffy/Gibson.

We wont be seeing a fully fit Sargent until late Feb/early March, even if he reacts as well as the physio team hope.

The Idiots Guide to the Annatasio 'Takeover.'
BSEYELLOW replied to BroadstairsR's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I may be miles out, my my understanding is the following: 1. Attanasio currently has 20% of the shares. 2. The club will create a number of new shares, which Attanasio will buy, with the money going to the club, to make him exactly equal ownership with D&M at 40% each, with 20% in the hands of smaller shareholders. 3. One someone reaches 30%, takeover laws means he must make an offer to all remaining shareholders at the highest price they have already paid. Its up to those people if they accept. 4. The vote is on whether this obligation to make this offer can be waived, leaving Attanasio and D&M with parity at 40% each, thus not putting him in complete control for the time being. 5. Part of the deal will see Attanasio's boardroom votes being automatically tied to D&Ms decions for 3 years from January 2023 when he initially joined the board, thus giving control of the club to D&M despite shareholding parity. 6. This means that Delia is in effect reducing the value of their shares, whilst taking no money at this stage and allowing Attanasio to make investment and still getting some value from his investment. Just because their votes are linked, doesnt mean he wont have any sway, there is nothing to stop them all making decisions that Attanasio wants to make, but he would have to convince D&M and for them to vote as he wants for anythign to happen. I guess, during those 3 years, should D&M feel like they were ready to hand over control, they could still pass control to Attanasio with a boardroom vote/selling more of their shares. Im sure someone will step in and tell me i am wrong, but that seems to be correct from what i have read? -
He is earning £0.00 per week currently and is desperate to find a club 2 months into the season. He has very little leverage, so if we are interested, I am sure we could put together a package. For someone in his position, a lower base salary with heavy performance/appearance bonuses would be the way to go.

To be fair, the article gives a good indication of how well he's playing. I think that's noteworthy and I hope it continues. We have a recall and may need it if Sargent is delayed and Idah doesn't find form. This kid sounds promising!

Only seen the highlights, but he seems to have played well. Some nice passes and his crossing from the left seems decent. Small sample size obviously, but promising. This set up would appear to fit with his skill set far more than our intricate pass and move under Farke. Placheta is a speed merchant, run and cross. He could turn out quite important for us.
