You reap what you sow. I've been a right abrasive b*stard on here at points, and in turn I've had a lot of sh*t flung at me. But when I'm being non-confrontational and light-hearted, people tend to be nice back. Funny, that... I find this place is a much nicer place to be when you don't get snippy with people and just ride it out. I never met dear old Ray, but as he used to say (and I know I'm paraphrasing here): "At the end of the day they're all Norwich fans, and we should remember that."

Wondering if there any youngsters in the U23s who might be deemed good enough to cover on the bench in emergencies? Famewo will be 22 in November so isn't completely green. Ciaren Jones, Louis Lomas, Andrew Omobamidele and Jonathan Tomkinson are all in the U23s... anyone know if any of them are particularly highly rated within the Academy setup?

That's going to be a bloody big 'bubble'! 😄 1. I sit right up the back of the River End upper. It's where my dad chose to sit, as he got his ST before me (I used to play/referee on Saturdays). Sure it's a bit lacking in atmosphere, but I love the view from there and being able to see all the movement off the ball. 2. Really wouldn't want to sit right near the front. On the occasions I have done, the novelty of hearing the players shouting and being up close to the action soon wears off. I love being in the 'crow's nest', whichever ground I'm in. Newcastle away is great for that! 3. Would be brilliant to watch a game with Parma and/or Bethnal. Love reading their insights into the game on here.

I've tried to reason with the troll, so have many others. Tilly has met him in real life and obviously likes the fella, or he wouldn't stick up for him. You won't change Waveney's persona on here, you're wasting your time trying. I was toying with blocking him, but I've just learnt not to stoop to his level.

This is the crux of it... it's really strange that someone who is obviously and verifiably a die-hard Norwich fan gets so much joy from antagonising other Norwich fans. He won't change, you just have to switch off to it. He has actually mentioned on here that he is on the autistic spectrum, which is strange because that doesn't usually correlate with such calculated wind-up behaviour patterns. However, the speed with which he 'diagnoses' other people with mental health problems when they disagree with him would indicate that he is battling his own issues, and as such I try to refrain from engaging with him. If he is battling his own issues, I wish him all the best.

It's highly, highly unlikely that we'll have the same degree of unavailability with our centre backs as we did last season. I can never remember a situation like it. We have four centre backs who are more than good enough for this league in Zimbo, Godfrey, Hanley and Klose, a decent youngster in Famewo, then Quintilla and Tettey as sixth and seventh(!) choices. If we do sign another CB to improve the overall quality of the starting XI then brilliant, but I won't be spitting feathers if we don't.

Yeah, I think the emergency goalkeeper loan rule only applies if you have no available senior goalkeepers on the books. It's the reliance on McGovern as a number two that concerns me; if Krul did get a long-term injury, we would be weakening the side massively by relying on McGovern. Having an old and experienced number three is very common, but unless the powers-that-be rate Barden highly enough to be a number two, I'd be a bit concerned if we didn't bring another keeper in. And I doubt Barden can be held in that high regard, as he's not really been mentioned at all before this season, he was on loan at Bury Town in the eighth tier or whatever last season, and we've also had McCracken, Mair, Johnson, Oxborough and Hayes around the place.

I'm delighted to say that I have smashed my target, and cycled a total of 640 miles during August! Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me, the generosity from the Pinkun community has been remarkable and really quite humbling. I rode 66 miles yesterday, which was about three miles further than planned due to my complete inability to mapread on the fly.
