1. This maybe a simple request, but it is actually a hard task to just name one person. Why? Because right now there are so many variables and it is impossible to know where we will end up at the end of the season, and then who will be available should there be a change of manager. Right now I am reasonably happy (but of course not fully happy) with the current manager, and will probably remain so "if" we stay up, because I am a big believer in continuity and the evolvement of the club and style of play with management stability..........BUT....if this is not the case and we end up getting relegated, then I would certainly understand if the club decided to make a change and will then have my favourites for the job and have no problem being shot down in flames either as thats what you expect on a message board. There''s always one! Stick to the rules please!
 2.
No, the manager and team will save us. Our home form is fantastic which shows what we can do . Get in some proper PL players and things will look so much better enact year. We should spend every penny on players and wages. Changing manager is secondary and only if someone with some real pedigree is available and wants to come here.
The manager or players didn''t yesterday did they? Talk about blind faith!
 3.
It was less a case of Swansea being ''too good'', and more a case of Norwich allowing them time and space to play pretty much uncontested. Shelley had acres of space and oodles of time to dictate the midfield. Michu was more often or not unmarked in and around the penalty area. What on earth has transpired on the training pitch this week to work a plan to counteract Swansea? Hoolahan proved today that he should only play in home matches. His contribution was nothing short of woeful, notable only by a last ditch clearance to stave off another goal. Martin proved once again that his best Norwich days are behind him, and RVW proved that he shouldn''t even make the bench if Norwich are going to successfully stave off relegation. These three players, in particular, we''re Conference League at best, but none of the players were, in truth, worthy of mention. Norwich''s recent successes over Swansea have come from a high intensity performance, pressing high up the pitch, and giving Swansea less time to pick a pass when in possession. This performance was so far removed from that, you would be hard-pressed to imagine the words of wisdom passed onto the players by the management team on the run up to this game. Swansea''s only two wins this year have come from beating Fulham and Cardiff. It would not surprise me if today''s win was by far their easiest. At least we had it confirmed today which two teams we are on a par with, and proof that the league table is giving some deluded Norwich fans a false sense of security.
Great post unique! Sums it up very well and I couldn''t of written it better myself!
 4. It really grinds my gears hearing fellow supporters on here say we should play more cautious and defensively away from home! Why and what have we got to lose? I would rather us go for it in every game! That way you can actually say ''they gave it there all''! I''m a ''never change a winning side'' mentality guy. Hughton done the right thing by only making one forced change but you could clearly see the mentality of the players was to be very cautious. We sat back and let them play it around. We didn''t do that vs Sunderland. We so desperately need to unshackle our players and just let them play! Home and especially away.
 5.
That was a. It rubbish today but must be said that Swansea were very good. We still have enough to stay up but what to do in the summer? Of course most on here will want change at the top but that''s assuming all the failures are down to one person, and that is not the case. We may have one of our best ever squads but it is still very week in depth and flair. We need to spend every penny we can on upgrading so many players including Hoolahan and Bassong. Our problems this year are down to many things but a big part of it is that our players are, it many cases, not up to the PL and simply cannot show any consistency . OTBC
Wake up or go away please! Troll!
 6.
Surely after this latest embarrassment the board have to get the message. We have 6 games left to save ourselves. Hughton has long past his best before date. The only sane reaction to our current situation is getting hughton out now and pleading for the Messiah to return. I have clarity of what needs to happen. Is there any sanity in our Board to see it. All together now. Hughton out Messiah back
You sir are an imbecile!
 7. Absolutely painful to watch. Bassong and Martin are having a nightmare. Howson, RVW and Elmander non existant. You could literally make all 3 subs at half time, that''s how bad we are! How can a side be so much different from one week to the next?
 8. "Someone to replace Wes" I don''t understand where people have got the idea that we have ever needed to replace Wes, all we have needed to do to make our team work is play Wes. Maybe because he wouldn''t score enough goals if played there regularly! I''ve said it before, Hoolahan is hardly a Silva, Nasri, Hazard, Lallana, Otzil, Cazorla, Coutinho! I know his main job would be to create chances but I''m not convinced he could constantly do that on a regular basis either!
 9. No thanks. I just don''t rate him. He has ''come on'' a lot these past two seasons but I still don''t rate him.
 10. Not sure if anyone''s realised but Hughton doesn''t often play wingers on there usual side!
 11. He''s not a right back IMO and he would be totally wasted playing left midfield if Hughton continues to play inverted wingers!
 12.

lambert, lallana and shaw........ you would think really at this time of the season to be relaxing a bit as they are safe and realistically cant get much higher............ but unfortunately the 3 I mentioned have got to try even harder to try and get to the world cup...
.........and we have Hooper, Redmond and Howson. Younger and much potential there imo.
None of the 3 you mention are anywhere near in contention for the England World Cup squad. Returning back to reality and in the here and now, I would rather the 3 Southampton players atm!
 13.

Wow, the idea of ''Total Football'' at Carrow Road! Lol, some of you really do make me laugh!
How old are you? If you remember the late 1980''s you will remember the quality of football was just what you describe - total football - and it led to one of our best achievements ever in the early 90''s. Imo what we are trying to do is build a way of playing that is sustainable and effective. It is obvious we are not there yet, but that does not mean we should stop trying.
I''m 34 and yes I remember our football played in the late 80''s early 90''s. We didn''t play ''total football''! We had a good and exciting team which played on the fast counter attack. We were also able to score more than a goal a game. Something I and a very large amount of supporters very much miss!
 14. Wow, the idea of ''Total Football'' at Carrow Road! Lol, some of you really do make me laugh!
 15. Totally agree. I also believe this is the main reason why Holt struggled last season and also copped a lot of flack. Inverted wingers slow the play down and are invited to cut in on their stronger foot for a pop at goal. This totally nullifies the striker/s unless they can mop up the bits ie, parried saves or dodgy clearance.
 16.
Many fans who want Hughton out or fans who (god forbid) dare to criticise the team and/or Hughton when we lose or perform badly are often shouted down by a select bunch of people who feel that many fans don''t have the right to say anything remotely negative about NCFC, Chris Hughton or the players. Robin Sainty is somebody who I''d use as an example here. Not everyone will recognise this man''s name. He seems to have a column on here (not sure why) and a rather active twitter account where he shouts down anyone who dares to write anything remotely negative about Hughton, the team or the club. I''m unsure why someone like Robin is given a platform to voice his opinions, but that''s another matter. So my question to Robin and other fans like him (Morty etc etc) is: What''s so right? What''s so right about Chris Hughton? What''s so right about our results? What''s so right about our performances this season? What is so right that doesn''t give many fans THE RIGHT to be a little bit negative when they want to be? Look forward to your replies.
A very good OP! One I''m afraid you won''t get a decent answer to unfortunately.
 17. A lot of supporters were giving Hughton 10 games in to this season. I was one of them. Don''t get me wrong, I desperately wanted it to work. It hasn''t worked. He should have gone after those 10 games!
 18.
But its not that depressing really as everyone (or most) makes it out to be. Yesterday was a really hard game against a well drilled Stoke team who''s plan is to gain every advantage they can by pushing, grabbing, stamping etc etc. However we didn''t deserve to win that game because we didn''t force the issue enough, it looked like we tried, but we seemed to reluctant to pass it quickly round them, people looked tired and no one was thinking about their movement enough around the box. Generally when looking at Norwich, we''re where everyone expected us to be : around 13th-17th(I''m not talking about people on this board, more the neutrals). The disappointment in our season has been the lack of goals and quality to create chances regularly as well as the off field incidents with Becchio and Hoolahan for example. Although its been a season where we have averaged a point a game, what has been good is the more balanced general play where we don''t look like a stoke team or (now) a crystal palace team. We now look as if we can defend as well as create chances. Last season we were awful to watch, as we just sat back and played like those teams when going foreword. This season, it seams we aren''t quite in the mental state sometimes to cope with the games; such as the capitulation against villa and some of the matches against the big teams which have really damaged our goal difference (whereas last season we looked great against the big teams, playing like we did against spurs and Man C this season). So although we''ve improved on our general play and the tactics are nicer to watch (although some of you may have blocked out last season football from your memory, in which case i don''t blame you), the ability to score goals is still lacking. When we''ve had the glorious amount of chances, we haven''t taken them and when its been one of those games where we only create one or two chances, we haven''t really taken them either so we know where we need to improve. Our defending tactically is fine and the build up play is good and very average sometimes unlike last season, where we gave it to snodgrass and hope he would fall over near the penalty box. Throughout the season we''ve had big players under perform such as Snodgrass, Bassong, Pilkington and Ruddy was not doing well at the start, so although we look better going forwards and are improving in this part of the game from last season, the players haven''t performed, which is not only down to themselves, but also to do with the tactics as sometimes they look a bit lost. The fact is, our home form is good, away form is bad, general play is more like what you would expect from a premiership team, not like a team holding on for dear life like last season. Strikers aren''t scoring when creating much more chances than last season. So although we''ve improved our general play, something needs to be done about getting the ball in the back of the net. How do we do this? Do we: Sack hughton and get in someone more ''attack'' minded? Buy another striker and/or Attacking midfielder? Get an attacking (back room) coach on board to help to help Hughton and Calderwood et al, who were defenders? The football to watch has been so much better than last season, but is now what you would expect from a team in our position. Instead of a team just happy that we are here, holding onto 17th place like it seemed last season, we now look average. Is average good enough? The answer is of course no. We want to be developing each season, playing like Southampton are at the moment. We''re developing, but just not fast enough.
You''ve been watching different games to me pal. We went on a decent performance run of about 3 games ending with Spurs. Other than that it''s been pretty much same old since Hughton arrived. If anything, we''ve lost self belief that if we go a goal down we have no chance in getting one back or winning the game. There''s been a significant shift in the mentality of our players (and supporters) in the last two seasons which is extremely disturbing. We were supposed to be building on what was started and I believe we''ve gone backwards!
