What about Loic Remy?
Green and Yellow fellow replied to Samwam27's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Loic Remy is on £75,000 a week! I highly doubt he would fall down to the Championship considering he could do a job for just about any Prem side. I thought Connor Wickham was realistic, but even he is on £60,000. I''m pretty sure our highest earners will be on not much over £30,000. I could be wrong though! -
How about Rickie Lambert?
Green and Yellow fellow replied to Jarrolder's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Anybody mentioned Connor Wickham? I know he''s an ex scummer, still only aged 23 though, not getting regular starts at Palace and would do a decent job in the Championship. Everyone is throwing out suggestions, just thought i''d put another one out there. He''s not the slowest and standing at 6''3 he would certainly add a physical presence up front. -
Vadis off. Lafferty stays.

Team v Hannover
Green and Yellow fellow replied to lappinitup's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Agreed! I know it''s only pre-season, but he should be scoring chances like that against any team! Soo annoying -
Always looks like a decent player in pre-season to be fair.

No Klose and No Brady
Green and Yellow fellow replied to King Klose's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Klose was sitting among the home fans, cheering the boys on according to his Snapchat :). There was reports earlier saying Brady was in talks with Everton and now West Ham are also apparently showing interest. He probably has a lot to think about regarding his future atm, I wouldn''t be surprised to see him move within a week or two. -
Ahh i tried on youtube and it wasn''t working for me and a lot of people for some reason :)

Ben Godfrey
Green and Yellow fellow replied to Michael Bates's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''ve seen him play a couple of times and he does look good on the ball, his physique stands out a lot for his age like everyone and AN says. Those who are moaning about him being played at RB, I think you''d rather experiment with him in pre-season than an actual competitive match. That is exactly what pre-season is for, Alex is still learning about his players. I don''t believe AN actually thinks right back is his position anyway, much like Louis Ramsey at Peterborough, Thompson and Godfrey were filling in and gaining match fitness. Considering in both games neither Whittaker, Pinto or Russell Martin were available, you still have to have someone in that position. You would rather have your more experienced players getting their match fitness in positions where they are already established. I would like to see him play in a holding midfield type role, with the physical presence he has added with a bit of aggression, i can see him doing very well in that position. -
Come on Pete! I''m not usually that bad, I will always hold my hands up when I make a mistake unlike others. I hated English at school, though since leaving I have realized how useful it can be in regards to communicating and expressing opinions. When I got into Uni I started to realize just how bad my grammar and vocabulary was, it''s slowly improving after writing numerous assignments. I can''t be making mistakes like that going into my third year and having to write a 10,000 word dissertation haha.

I questioned if we ever had any serious interest in him too, obviously our priority has to be a prolific striker. I can see that taking a long time time still as other clubs tend to like bringing in someone or having them lined up for a replacement first. We also still have KL on our books and I haven''t seen any clubs linked to him in a while. Still a long way to go I guess.

Sky reports that Newcastle have agreed a £5.5m deal with Blackburn Rovers and set for a medical, according to: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-transfers-magpies-agree-11638969? What alternatives are there? Or would you guys be happy to stick with what we have? Personally I wouldn''t feel 100% comfortable with Bassong, Martin or Bennett, even though they have been there and done it before.

I agree Norfolkngood. As much as I like Alex Neil and he says what I want to hear, he still has a lot to prove. Alex had an immediate positive impact when he joined us, but that is not so uncommon when a new manager joins a club. Saying that, I have belief in him and in Alex Neil, i trust. I would like to see us with a new number 1, although I can''t pretend I know much about Michael McGovern apart from his Euro heroics and since Ross County he has been highly regarded wherever he has gone. Based on evidence, i wouldn''t feel 100% comfortable with either Rudd or Ruddy, however Imo Ruddy is the better out of the two. Either way competition accelerates progression, so he''s more than welcome in that respect. Yes.

Russell Martin transfer?
Green and Yellow fellow replied to Alex Moss's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I agree with Canary One. The last couple of seasons he just hasn''t shown any real consistency of form. On the odd occasion he can be a hero but then the next week he''s a villain. I like Russ as a person, I also think he''s a top professional in the way he goes about his business off the pitch and he does have a great attitude. There is no doubt he has been a great servant to this club, but he has shown no signs of improvement in the last couple of seasons. I think he would be great to keep because he''s been there and done it on more than one occasion, but I wouldn''t feel comfortable with him in the starting line up. I would have him as a 3rd/ 4th choice CB, but that leaves the question, could his wages bill be better off spent on someone else? -
I went to this match today and my thoughts are that in the first half (60), the stand out players were Josh, Mulumbu and Naismith. However Andreu stood out mainly because he was particularly bad, though that is the first time i''ve seen him play. The second half I thought Maddison was looking lively along with Jacob, our midfield was solid as Peterborough hardly tested us during the 60 minutes. We mainly looked vulnerable in the wider areas, though that was to be expected as we weren''t playing experienced players in those positions. Saying that I thought Godfey looked pretty solid, quite an imposing stature and physique for his age. All in all it was a typical pre-season performance with the odd moments of quality from the canaries.

Carlton Morris
Green and Yellow fellow replied to CanaryfromtheStates's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think it would do him some good to train with some top pros, perhaps he could learn from them and see what it takes to get to the next level. Though i understand playing games is important, I can''t imagine him starting for us any time soon, perhaps a loan until January and hope that he finds some form. Based on evidence of his loan at Hamilton I can''t see him getting into our first team straight away, though I would love him to prove me wrong. -
Away Kit
Green and Yellow fellow replied to Green and Yellow fellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
That would be a nice idea, however from what a lot of people are saying Sergi will be announced today. I''m hoping it will be similar to the burgundy strip we had a couple of seasons ago. -

Source? Yesterday a number of sources reported that the club insisted that he isn''t for sale after Burnley bid £3m for him. I understand that the bid you say we have had accepted is double that and it wouldn''t be the first time for a club to say that and sell. Unless you have some serious inside knowledge though I highly doubt this is going to happen considering the wealth of options we have in that position. Good player though and would be happy to see him in a Norwich shirt.
