  1. I swear half of the moaners never listen to the manager half of the time. In reality this was our first competitive match with 7 new players in the side, playing a different system and now one of the youngest squads in the Championship. And some people are getting on the backs of our players when we played Fulham who we all knew are a good side and will be right up there at the end of the season. Yet we still managed to come away with a draw, despite not being given a penalty and conceding an unfortunate own goal! Personally, I thought it was a fantastic result considering and we played some really good stuff at times, as did Fulham. Farke is learning about his players and vice versa and considering the circumstances I think we should all be feeling rather positive instead of finding things to moan about because the way I see it, the positives out weigh the negatives for sure. However I''m sure I''ll be called a ''happy clapper'' by some on here.
  2. It will be an interesting season "for sure". I wouldn''t be surprised if we won the league or even finished 6th. Anything less than that would be failure and underachievement for a club in our financial position and with our squad. I guess it will be hard to tell how we fare until we''ve played a few games, but I don''t think it will be like last season in the way we had played 14 games, sitting top of the table and then downhill from there. During that period even though we were winning games I still thought we weren''t playing that well. Farke brings something we''ve been missing since Lambert in the way he has flexible tactics and like today, he has shown that the team can adapt to different formations within a game successfully. Hughton was never able to make a sub to significantly change the outcome of a game and Alex Neil made some frustrating subs towards the end of his demise as manager. The new signings are yet to prove themselves properly however the signs suggest that things are pretty positive and we still have a really good core of attacking talent, arguably the best in the league. No doubt we still have a couple more players to bring in and I''m hoping we can use a decent amount of the revenue from recent sales on the right players. Saying that I don''t expect any big name signings and we still have January to save for. All in all I''m feeling pretty positive and I think we have a really good chance for a successful season. I like the business we''ve done so far, I understand that none of these players are well known, however our defence was something like in the bottom 5, so surely we cant get much worse. I''m also looking forward to seeing an attractive brand of football being played at carrow road and hopefully we will have the players and staff to approach away games in a better manner than last season. We have every reason to be positive, otbc!
  3. Update. As from about 15mins ago Leistner tweeted a reply from a fan who said he''d tweet him every day until he joins us. Leistner replied with 2 emojis being, a praying hands symbol followed by a wink face. It''s looking more likely. Wouldn''t be surprised if he joins us whilst we''re in Germany very soon.
  4. "I couldn''t tell you it''s definitely him but it looks like there''s a fair chance #Leinster" Been a while since I posted something on here, it just seems that Twitter is the best way of finding out inside knowledge nowadays. Seems like we could have 4 half decent CBs on our books next season. I wouldn''t be surprised if we got another 3/4 players in too. Going to be an interesting season, that''s for sure!
  5. This man was my first choice, I really like him ever since he was at Brentford. He talks a very good game and has a bit of an aura about him so I would be delighted. The guy on this thread who said they got odds of 25/1 this morning, potentially a really good bet, nice bit of research respect. The odds as from ''sky bet'' two hours ago on twitter are currently 3/1.
  6. There''s a couple of articles online saying that we''re interested in buying striker Aboubakar from FC Porto for £10m. And I also noticed ''Read Norwich'' reports that we''re in for Lincoln City boss, Danny Cowley. These sources are very questionable to say the least, but I kind of think Danny Cowley is the sort of character Delia would be after, as for Aboubakar he looks like he would be a decent Jerome replacement.
  7. I personally really liked his attacking philosophy. At times under his reign we did play some really exciting football but it has always been our defending which has let us down. That problem existed before his time and it''s something which we will need at least another transfer window to sort out, having squandered so many opportunities. I hope we can get in a manager with the same attacking mind set, but also knows how to sort out our frailties at the back.
  8. Ruddy Pinto Martin Klose Dijks Jacob Howson Tetty Wildschut Pritchard Jerome I think the whole starting 11 from the last match deserves to start, however I think against Newcastle we will need more physicality. That is why I include Wildshut even though he hasn''t contributed anything significant to the team yet. Josh was fantastic against NFFC but Jacob is on par with him but probably in better condition. Jerome, again he adds physicality and should also be in better condition than Oliviera, plus the guy always puts 100% effort in every game. Subs: Oliviera, Hoolahan, Josh Murphy, Mulumbu, Bennett, Whittaker and McGovern
  9. At first I found Jack annoying, but I came to the conclusion that I was more annoyed that I wouldn''t have the confidence and resources to do what his is doing. Love him or hate him, Jack is providing next generation material and I think it''s a good platform for the fans to enhance their relationship to the club. I think the channel still has a lot of potential and now you are seeing the likes of Jake Humphrey in it and Mitchell Dijks promoting it on his instagram. Fair play to Jack, I think he goes about his business in an almost professional style I read comments of fans from other clubs complimenting him and our club. The guy is still learning and he will only get better, I will always support people who promote our club in a decent manner. Credit where credit is due.
  10. Anyone know when the last time we got two clean sheets in a row? Fantastic win by the way! I think the players may be tired not only because they put there all into it, but the squad did have an illness recently and Dijks lacks game time , so I think it makes the win even better! I think we''re capable of winning the next three games too, but I just hope we don''t run out of steam! The feel good factor is back and long may it continue.
  11. Haha I just found that out after refreshing it every 10 seconds. The guy who sets that up in an absolute savior and I always look forward to his half time music.
  12. Anyone got any alternative to Ustream/norwichfirst? It doesn''t appear to be working and I can''t get bbc radio Norfolk in Lincoln or find any streams to watch the game today.
  13. GJL - I like the look of that formation, however I think it''s for the wrong game. By that I mean Cardiff are on of the few teams in the league which have a worse defensive record than our and that''s something we should be exploiting. However Alex Neil has mentioned the physicality of Cardiff and your suggestion is a physically strong side. I''d choose... Ruddy Pinto Martin Klose Dijks Howson Tetty Murphy Hoolahan Wildschut Jerome Subs: McGovern, Bennett, Pritchard, Whittaker, Lafferty, Murphy
  14. I heard the news whilst watching Huddersfield. They are playing some very attractive football, again!
  15. Come on slow coach, I was on this 3 minutes before you.
  16. I don''t want to sound sour, however I can''t say i''m delighted, I personally think our business was OK. Facts are that we got rid of two well established players and replaced them with one established player (Yanic) and someone who has shown promise however hasn''t been playing 1st team football and has never played in England before. I have watched a number of videos of them playing and being interviewed and I can''t deny they both look like exciting players. The wages Bassong and Bennett are on probably means it''s hard for us to move them on, though I think considering our record at conceding goals, we should''ve signed a CB. If our record continues then once again the board have made the club an easy target to criticism. I''m looking forward to seeing how Morris will do at Rotherham, i''m not expecting big things, but it would be great if he can prove his is capable at this level. The lad seems to have been around for ages but still only 19!
  17. Some of the West Ham Utd fans on twitter suggest he''s "another Matt Jarvis". If that means they''ll send him to us for £2.5m, then I agree.
  18. Newspaper? Pahaa it''s 2017. Best using the internet if you''re interested in finding out the ''truth''. The internet has opened doors to many independent researchers which can influence investigations, such as pizzagate. I don''t see how someone can say they''re not bothered about politics and then complain about the prices, foreigners, health services, transport services, the environment, education system etc. Politics has an influence on pretty much every decision we make in our daily lives. That said I can see why people have no interest or little faith in the government, when we use an outdated election system which has been in place for over a century. Can we just have a revolution already? Or a new Left Back?
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdYFbJ7ByfY This is a recent podcast recorded in January this year, he talks about his current situation, Galatasary and his loan move from there. Furthermore he talks about the Reading side from 2012 -2014 where he mentions our side under Paul Lambert. This gives a very interesting insight to him as a person and life as a championship footballer. He comes across a very genuine person who has been unfortunate with injury and extenuating circumstances. Based on character I would sign him up however he lacks game time and I feel he would take a while to get up to speed. I understand that it''s a long podcast but if you''re like me (a bit boring) and like listening to things in the background, then I would recommend this, especially if we sign him.
  20. Classy player on and off the pitch, good to have him with us!
  21. Not a chance, I hope we hurry up and give the lad a new contract soon. 23 days in the transfer window and we''re still no closer to signing anyone, so the rumours suggest. This is starting to follow a familiar pattern.
  22. I wish it was Lincoln. I go to the University of Lincoln and have been to a couple of there games as I don''t live far from the stadium. The club is doing very very well at the moment and my old school friend Sam Habergam (once youth player of Norwich) plays for them. They played Oldham in the last round where I also saw Lee Croft come on as a sub. The atmosphere at the ground was awesome, the crowd of 7000 sung from start to finish and it was actually the first FA Cup game I''ve been to where you can see it still means something. I had a really good time and hopefully it will be even better if I watch them beat Ipsw*ch. It''s a shame that Norwich charge so so much! I bought my ''student ticket'' for £5. Norwich are not only putting families off with their ridiculous right wing pricing strategy, but I''m assuming the UEA gets a high turnover of national and international students who are getting priced out of a new experience which could ultimately put off potential supporters.
  23. I wouldn''t want us to sell him as it would put a cherry on top of make ''last summers transfer shambles'' cake. Everyone seemed quite happy about signing him at the time and I think rightly so, knowing he is capable in this league. I think a loan move would suit him however I wouldn''t want us to give him to Leeds or a direct promotion rival. Or have we already given up hope of that?
  24. Apparently we''re looking to ''swoop in'' for this 25 year old number 9 from Barnsley FC. He was third highest goal scorer in league 1 for them last season and has 11 goals in 22 appearances so far. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Winnall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB13hMEA7-g
