  1. Maybe I''m being harsh but we don''t really seem to be getting better. I know my hasty ''the German experiment has failed'' remark early in this thread probably overstated what we are seeing but does anyone really believe the manager knows what he''s doing. We could easily have lost today but we didn''t so I''m reasonably happy. And the whole ref plus injuries and subs during added time was enjoyable. Is that the longest second half in city history?
  2. Yes lots left early. But let''s face it that second half looked like it was never going to end, I did a lot of Boooing at the ref which was fun. But although we were really rubbish second half I thought today we looked marginally better than last week.
  3. Pritchard coming on was great to see. We were terrible second half so he was really the only highlight. Richardo, I know you sit in the river end, probably not far from me, just wondered if you thought the crowd was a bit more involved today?
  4. I thought the fans got really behind the team today. Even when we were particularly poor during the second half. They can''t blame us if we get sucked into a relegation fight. Come on Farke we can be better than this. OTBC
  5. Yes The football we are seeing at home is rubbish. The new system looks just as bad as the old. Seems like over complicated formations to no real end. Can''t score and can''t keep a clean sheet without six players in defence. I''m usually a happy clapper but I''ve had enough. The ground is silent we hardly ever create a chance and I''m sick of shout my support whilst those around me look on. Where is the passion? FFS whats wrong with 442. All you need is a big bloke and little fast bloke up top. It''s worked for decades. The German experiment has failed.
  6. Utter dross in no way does justice to how bad that was today.
  7. Strangely it was quite noisy up my end. Not that there was anything to get noisy about. But it is beginning to feel like a slow lingering death of a season.
  8. I''d like to tell you it''s just a blip, remember the 8 game run but in truth we are very poor. roll on next week. Things can only get better
  9. Looked rubbish today. But to be fair he has had some decent games. Did anyone in the defence look good today?
  10. This team looks so poor. How can we be this bad. I can''t remember a worse set of home results for years. Oh to throw my ticket in the managers face. Going three at the back at half time, clearly he has leant nothing from all that has gone before this season. The joy of being a city fan I''d throw myself in the wen sum but it looks like rain
  11. 1 out now 10 for second quiz. I clearly know nothing about football stadiums
  12. 3 and I only got Ipswich because you can see their name in the photo. My poor score explained a, I blame my Dad who only took me to about 3 away games when I was a child. b, you can''t tell a football stadium just by the colour of the seats,
  13. I''m not attached to Delia and Micheal remaining owners. But they are real fans, which is good. But they are not billionaires, which is bad. At the moment the owners can not use their wealth to sign expensive players who may or may not be able to add significantly to the squad we already have. Money is not always the answer but in football today it almost always is. So we have a dilemma and no say in how things play out. If I was Delia I''d keep it. A bit like Gollum from lord of the rings. NCFC my precious
  14. Well Andrew Cole started to ask to be called Andrew Cole whilst still playing for Man U. For me he never quiet sounded like the same player. Maybe someone out there can find stats to prove Andy was more successful than Andrew. But I guess it is o.k. if people choose what name they prefer. My question is why so few games on a Thursday?
  15. I don''t agree. The championship is as it has always been a tough league to win. It''s also a hard league to finish in the top six. So really see no evidence and you don''t really offer any evidence for why this is a poor league.
  16. Ten days ago I was convinced we were a top six team. I believed that all we needed was to find away to win at home and then we would be in the top two. Now I''m completely convinced we are rubbish and we can write the whole season off. Call me fickle but that''s how the last 10 days played out for me.
  17. To be completely fair to our away supporters they have mostly suffered years of defeat more often than not. Plus the miserable journey back home after. Anyone who has kept going through countless seasons with very little success is pretty much a football saint and deserves a freakin medal in my opinion. And don''t forget that a number of said really vocal away fans also attend home games.
  18. Of course you do Ricardo. I can hear it from where I sit. Yes we need something to cheer, but aren''t we just going to end up like the binners. Rubbish football in an empty stadium. My hope is that we have a little more staying power. Plus don''t forget all the fun of shooting at the ref or booing overtime anyone remotely linked to Suffolk touches the ball. There is always something to cheer. Pinto on a run. Murphy going passed a defender, and there might have been a couple of other things in the last two home games worth shouting about. Stoney silence helps no-one.
  19. I love the fact that we generally attack the ''river end'' in the second half. That''s because I sit up behind the goal at that end. Selfish I know. I don''t think what I have said is moaning. I just want to encourage everyone to get more involved. Football for me is about passion and emotion. It should be all oohs and aahhhs and of course the odd song about how rubbish the other teams is and how our team is so great. So yes I do join in with the snake pit but it''s a long way away so sorry you can''t hear me.
  20. Even more grrr I''m talking to myself now. But it''s just so freakin frustrating.
  21. Why is carrow road so quiet. What excuse do we have for not getting behind the team? Honestly there was one corner second half last night when mine was the only voice. I just don''t get it. Yes we were very poor. But we have been poor in the past but it''s like a library at the moment. So come on get behind the team and at the very least we can know that we did our bit. OTBC
  22. Forever the optimist LDC which is a great quality that you have. For those of us that are home supporters much of what you say sounds empty. e.g. Klose and Zimmermann are an excellent CB pairing. Yet without the two defensive midfielders they can''t stop a pig in a passage! Maddison is brilliant but needs more help and sometimes rested. This is true plus he has been targeted by every team we''ve played and it''s a wonder that he hasn''t been injured by now. Stiepermann has looked good but missing chances isn''t about luck. It''s called poor finishing. Watkins is better outside the ground. Why can''t you sometimes admit that we just aren''t good enough. e.g. at most home games this season.
  23. Anyone who thinks they can explain away our home form by going on about our unbeaten run was not at the last two games. We are probably the worst home team in the world.. Yes Wolves were better than us. The gulf in quality was unacceptable, I''ve been going for forty years and this is the poorest home form I''ve ever seen. But heyho there will be an away game soon so hopefully we can pick up the points there.
