Good workout that. Hard work when you don''t get the ball. Great early spell first half. A few good spells in the second, with a chance or two to snatch it. Overall fairly positive about the season ahead. We could learn a thing or two from their 2 touch, pass and go football. Enjoyed it a lot. Need to keep possession better. Need to keep up the attacking intent. Love it.

Seems there are some people who will ALWAYS find something to complain about. So I want to pretend that Norwich just beat, say, a full-strength Real Madrid 2-0 in a pre-season friendly. Go on imagine it moaners! Right - go on then, give it your best shot. Moans away!!!

Would you take Steve Clarke right now?
Fried Cheese replied to a1canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Oh go on then. I''ll take the job. Can''t be that hard can it. Just shove your best players on the pitch and change things if it ain''t working out. There''s always the resource of this forum to refer to if I''m not sure about part 1. -

Every little helps: (From BBC): Swansea''s preparation for their final Europa League group match against St Gallen was disrupted as their departure was severely delayed on Wednesday. The Premier League side had planned a 1000 GMT departure from Cardiff Airport but fog meant that was not possible. A subsequent technical issue with the aeroplane Swansea had been due to leave on pushed back the departure time even further. Club officials confirm the team are not expected to leave until 1630 GMT at the earliest.

Yes, and I may have only posted 39 times (40 now), but it''s quality, not quantity.

I think you''ll find that the Teapot is spot on about Bennett. Sadly. Take my word for it too. Mock at your own risk.

If you showed potential signings around Norwich...

Chants no longer heard at Carrow Road

SHE fell over! SHE fell over! Used to be a regular one - never hear it nowadays. -
Bookies aren''t idiots. But if you think, on this occasion, they are; go ahead and lay it.

I thought Hughton signed him.

I reckon he''ll be off. That''s why he says he''s leaving the decision to others. In other words, he knows he''s going (willingly or not), but has got that out there first to set up these "others" to take the blame. This behavior fits his often-self-denied (but clear-to-see) paranoia regarding what the fans think of him. Just a theory. (Without even mentioning the corroborating evidence of his family move). I, for one though agree with the OP and will be sad to see him go. I hope I''m wrong.

Are we established?
Fried Cheese replied to NorthWalesCanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Pointless discussion this. So I''ll join in! ''Established'' is all about what''s in the mind of the football-following public at large. When ''they'' get used to us being there, then we''re established. If, however, to them, we still seem like we''re there only through good fortune or similar, then we''re not. Perception is reality my friends. -
Agree with that canarycat. But whilst history is interesting and - as you say - the stuff that fairy-tales are made from; what matters is the present. Improvement (or not) is to be based on that, not on the past. So if someone wants to express an opinion that perhaps we could be more positive on the pitch, or maybe whats-his-name didn''t play very well, that''s commentary on the present, i.e. where it counts and matters. You sound like you want to censor people here. That''s worse, in my book, than having a stupid opinion.

Personally, I think we should use the money to buy 3 or 4 more goalkeepers.

Watford. At least then it''s worth us having an away kit.

Yeah, let''s leave the gloating ''til we''ve been here for 6 more years eh?

Bassong for sure. Mark my words.

Unrealistic Expectations for next year.......
Fried Cheese replied to NorwichMick's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I agree that we ought to see improvements. I also agree that all the other surviving teams also ought to see improvements. So, the point about the three teams coming up this year .. .. it is true that they are relatively weak compared to last year''s trio, but one word of warning: Imagine what was said about us when we were promoted. In other words, don''t forget the momentum they have behind them. We, on the other hand, are indeed faced with the long term slog of gradual improvement to get a full squad of genuine premiership-quality players. This takes years. Having said all this, I don''t see why a goal-difference target is a bad thing. So, for what it''s worth: A goal difference better than -10. Cheers.
