  1. It's fantastic to see, well done Madders and, to Sophie, for being so strong at such a young age. Really is quite awe inspiring. I don't know how I'd cope with this happening to a member of my family, for example. It reminds me of the beautiful friendship struck up between Jermaine Defoe and Bradley Lowery, which still has me in tears every time I see Jermaine talking about it. Unfortunately, Bradley lost his battle as we all know. All one can hope is that Sophie's corrective surgery and amputation helps her get back on track and beat cancer. Seeing this happen to one so young is always heart-breaking, but there can be a happy ending.
  2. This whole thing... Sounds like TG had a bit of a domestic.
  3. I love how Lambert in these diaries (and in real life) is such a great example of the acronym 'FIGJAM'. If you don't know what that stands for it's... F**k I'm Good, Just Ask Me.
  4. Perhaps this Moose chap should be reminded that it wasn't that long ago that Norwich were being praised for fielding more English players than any other team at that point in the PREMIERSHIP. We also had a British manager. Did it work? For a little while, yes. But then it went downhill. He also fails to point out that a number of proven British players are ridiculously expensive and I imagine that goes for the managers too. Can't see Lampard on pi$$ all next to nothing, for example. Anyway, as has been said, this fellow has very little idea about what we've been through as a club and the need to cut expenses. The general feeling among others in this league often seems to be that we have loads of money. As we all know, it's not true, and we've built our team by bringing young, british players through with some astute buys from overseas.
  5. Yep. Could be attributed to the double sessions and huge amounts of fitness work that Farke has them doing. Something that, last season, was described by many as "a really bad idea" due to the injuries we were picking up. It would appear that they have gotten used to that work now and are benefitting from it.
  6. I would say you're exactly right! Those thinking it has something to do with Hitler are either 500 years old or completely out of touch with the way young German people feel about their past. In short... Hitler and the **** party aren't particularly well liked among most Germans.
  7. They've made a mistake in the headline. It should read "Town: Rubbish Club Claims Up for Sale"
  8. Peter Beardsley, there, before all he had to worry about was sitting on very low walls and making sure his wife gets her really f***kin runny poachies.
  9. Sure... But we didn't sign them from there and they weren't working with Farke at the times they were there. (Oh and Leitner played for the first team at Dortmund, not the reserves)
  10. Lol... One current player came from Dortmund 'Reserves' and that's Zimbo.
  11. I've said it before too... Couldn't care less about not being media darlings! Who knows? Maybe there's even a stance from the club, that we'd prefer to be under the radar a bit. I remember the same thing happening in previous seasons when we were doing well. It doesn't really matter how much coverage we get. I am quite sure that Sky et al believe we're a 'surprise package' and probably won't be there at the end of the season. It's a bizarre viewpoint given our (relatively) recent history but... whatever! I'd certainly prefer it if opposing teams judged us with the same level of surprise towards what we're doing this season. But the fact is, their managers and players will all know how good we are and raise their game when playing us. We just need to keep showing we can bat away their advances!
  12. I think that excerpt was from a ReadNorwich article, which is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike! The article that popped up on the Pink 'Un was discussing a loan move for him in Jan, with a view to becoming permanent in the summer, I believe. Besiktas was the team mentioned but now we have a piece saying no official approach. I'm not sure whether that meant no approach to BUY in Jan but perhaps an option to loan.
  13. I work in the whisky world... Which particular expression was it?
  14. Danny Mills is a complete twonk. He hates us. He loves Leeds. Let's just put him in the bin and forget he's from Norwich hey? He does us no favours whatsoever and seemingly HATES his place of birth.
  15. At Poorman Road, according to this post- https://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/447704/just-had-email-from-the-club-looks-like-they-are-offering-public-trials/#2 Blimey.
  16. Oh yes! Sorry, West Coast... The yellow ones were last season! Nah.. blue shoes are difficult to pair with anything. I reckon she's more on the pulse than that! 😉😀
  17. No wonder they're doing so well. Their president keeps putting on her lucky shoes. What colour are they? Why... YELLOW of course! 💛💚
  18. I would suggest that, at this point, we don't even know if those two will be our main rivals towards the end of the season. Ok, they look fairly decent, but this is the Championship and something weird or unexpected, shall we say, always happens!
  19. The thing is... We don't really know how well Mo would have performed in that game. His best asset is the ability to knit the play together from front to back, with his crisp passing and vision. The pitch at Hull being as soggy and slow as it was may not have been conducive to the game Leitner likes to play. I do think he's one of our most important players, but we have good depth in the midfield position and certainly decent cover. I am not going to worry too much about missing Mo at this stage!
  20. Looks like Nelson will be loaned out to Besiktas, with a view to that move becoming permanent in the summer. I agree with what a lot on this thread are saying. More likely we'll bring a loan player in. Who knows what position, but another winger with an eye for goal would be good. Hernandez sometimes flits in and out of games, as much as I love the fella! And, yesterday, Buendia was excellent in first half but dropped off a bit second. (Having said that, he was still MOTM for me). It would just be good to have some options/cover.
  21. This is a bit like when Vincent Tan said he was disappointed that the Cardiff keeper wasn't scoring more goals 😂
  22. Wow. Would have been a much better signing, by the looks of it! One to consider if we make it to the Prem?? I doubt we'd be able to afford him now!
  23. Well, Krul would likely be at the club still if we went up and I'd be happy to have him in the Prem if we get there. It could be a different 'keeper and I'm sure there are plenty out there to look at. Gunn back on loan if we got to the promised land has probably been suggested. But the simple fact is, and it's been said a billion times, all 'keepers make mistakes. Their mistakes tend to be costly and more glaringly obvious. With Krul, I feel like he's always at least tried to attone for his errors. Whether that be a really smart save later in the game to keep us in it, a quick throw that sets up an attack or, as was the case on Sat, coming out again and making another block after he'd spilled the initial shot. Sure, that led to a goal eventually but he's trying to do the right things.
