To give us a chance at Fulham
railwaycanary replied to dean's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Hughton''s dot to dot style of football is just so predictable, there was so little movement our central defenders had no one to pass to than each other, I am going to Fulham in hope rather than expectation but we need to pull a performance from somewhere. -
I assume you are being sarcastic!!!! otherwise i am truly worried about your sanity

Have to hand it to Van Wolfswinkel...

Be very afraid of the Big Bad Wolf "Must rank as the most embarrassing own goal the NCFC advertising dept has ever scored. I had a feeling when I first saw that poster that it would probably come back and bite us in the arse, but I never dreamt it would be this bad! -
Wouldn''t be so bad if he was the only one who was terrible, Howson and Tettey had absolute shockers today, impossible for our away form to get any worse, the only way is up!
-
How could Becchio possibly be any worse than RVW? as he has produced a sum total of one goal this season, pretty sure if RVW hadn''t cost a club record fee he wouldn''t have got near the first team, when you take in consideration transfer fee and wages he must be the biggest white elephant ever to [dis] grace the green and yellow, ands yes I am old enough to remember Dean Coney, for this transfer alone Hughton should be sacked, but if you compare us with the commitment of Crystal Palace I really cannot understand why he is still in a job.

Steve Clarke to be appointed by Tuesday
railwaycanary replied to Jed Yokel's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Screw that! He was hopeless at West Brom and got lucky that Lukaku was at his disposal. I''d rather have nobody as manager and let the players just do whatever!
Hopeless????? eighth place finish last season, he got Lukaku in on loan when he had not scored a Prem goal, ver hard done by at WBA, I''d take Clarke over hapless Hughton any day, even better with his old sparring partner Zola -
We seriously miss Fer''s presence in midfield, without him we look so fragile, Tettey was so poor today, I really can''t think of a worse midfield in the Prem at the moment. Our lack of pace and creativity all over the pitch is a major concern, and our only hopes of scoring appear to be individual errors by opposing players and the odd set piece, Hughton''s response about working hard in training hasn''t born fruit so far and in all honesty can''t see it happening now, really think barring some sort of miracale we are heading for the Championship

Can Becchio just be started next game please?
railwaycanary replied to Tetteys Jig's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Am I missing something here? how can Becchio be any worse than three strikers who never score? As Darren Eadie said on Canary call if RVW is not getting the service he needs to add something else to his game. I have been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and on present form RVW and Elmander rank as two of the worst signings ever, and makes you appreciate what a great all round player Holty was. I would love both to come good but I just can''t see it -
It was a decent performance, but only after Fer and Redmond came on, but allowing two players who couldn''t buy a goal to score is simply not good enough Hughton is a decent guy, but with him in charge I cannot see us amassing enough points to survive and apart from this game we are painful to watch,at least there was a bit of enterprise in our play today, but I fully expect a return to type V Manchester City.
-
Can''t fault the guys effort but that pass across our box for Cardiff''s first goal was unforgiveable, Hughton cannot be blamed for schoolboy errors like that, but I cannot see where we go from here with him in charge. I would bring in Steve Clarke who really didn''t deserve the sack at West Brom, he plays a much more offensive game than Hughton and has plenty of Premier league experience, and Becchio must be so frustrated at not being given a chance while RVW and Elmander get endless opportunities while producing nothing.

If Pilks is out on Saturday.........
railwaycanary replied to railwaycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Fox should be in the side every time over Howson as his contribution is negligible, Fox even if he isn''t match fit would have far more influence, Hughtons pigheadedness is absolutely mystifying, if Howson is to play at all it should be in Wes''s position, and no wonder Holty is frustrated when Kamara is picked ahead of him, if KK doesn''t show some improvement he will be back in the MLS. -

As I said it is all about opinions, and Jackson up front and Johnson wide left, is no more nonsense than your statement about Howson having done better than he''s given credit for, he gets very little credit because he very rarely gives credit worthy performances, not his fault just not up to PL standard, I am still waiting for a reasonable response as to why KK and Becchio offer anything more than Jackson, I do realise he is not the greatest striker ever to pull on a Yellow and Green jersey, but with decent service he is still a threat. -

Its all about opinions, but if we do ever get the ball into the opposition box again I know who I would like to see in there, and if Fox is in the side there might be chances created.Quite frankly if the side is unchanged from Wigan any striker would struggle to score with so few chances created.
