Hi Purple, going back a few years I used to watch a lot of the youngsters games and although Josh 'made the grade' first, I too thought Jacob was the better player, as did quite a few of the youngsters of the same age group who used to reside with us at the time. Having said that I have been wrong on more than one occasion!!

The Watney Mann cup ranneth over, although provided some interesting stats, offside only level with penalty area and first ever penalty shot out. First to score, Best, first to miss, Law.

Webber's ego and lack of self control will always be his 'Foinavon' fence which will always bring him down as he is not Foinavon.

He will continue to justify his signing this season for sure, I am not so certain about our need for him next season, even presuming we remain in the Championship. This would of course depend upon any player losses and the impact of Van Donk or any of the youngsters breaking through.
If we need him in a pivotal role next season, we will be in the do-do for sure.
Broadstairs, "for sure" 3 times in your last 2 paragraphs, you must be Farke's love child and I claim my £5🤣🤣

Plus, let's remember, and take into account, Gunn is circa 9 inches taller than Connolly, so had Connolly been the same height then Gunn's elbow would have hit Connolly in the chest and not his face, hardly Gunn's fault Connolly is on the short side for a footballer😆

1 hour ago, Jim Smith said:Not entirely sure if that’s the game at Bournemouth when he came down from the stands or his official first game on the touch line.
We were mid table with a team underperforming. We missed automatic promotion by one point, made the playoffs comfortably and the rest is history.
Why are so many people, including it appears the board, prepared to just write off this season and wait til the summer before doing anything? Admittedly we probably had a slightly better side then but this side is clearly capable of much better than we’ve seen recently and of pushing for that top 6 if we change coach and make an astute signing or two. I do not understand why we’ve not already done both in January.
To put this in perspective, he came down and asked the coaching team what they would do, he then asked the captain what he would do, it was the opposite to what the coaches said, he went with the captain, which probably says a lot given the then captain is manager of a high flying Championship team.

If you know the man, then you know he is a deep thinker and goal driven and imo was a massive missed opportunity because as said elsewhere, he would have given everything to manage here, but as also said elsewhere, that boat has probably sailed😖

As posted elsewhere. Saints tonight, 26 shots, 751 passes, what chance do we have based on tonight

And now the end is here
And so I face that final curtain
My friend I'll make it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more
I did it, I did it my wayRegrets, I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
I saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much, much more
I did it, I did it my wayYes, there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my wayFor what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself then he has naught
Not to say the things that he truly feels
And not the words of someone who kneels
Let the record shows I took all the blows and did it my way -
MA has a younger brother, Paul Attanasio, who is very successful in his own right, being co-creator of the TV series, Bull, along with other successes including, House. Here’s hoping his elder sibling can continue the NCFC penchant for nepotism and employ his younger brother to create an award winning screenplay for our beloved team.

Corbs1, I wholeheartedly agree. In the past I worked with Prem Players privately, a few from NCFC, but I'm pretty much retired, could be persuaded out for the right motivation of course👍🤣

I would say the thing that would help the most is 22k fans actually supporting from the off.
And there lies the problem, he repeats it a lot, reaffirming it to himself. Players do not have to be intellectually gifted (I have no idea if he is or is not), however some appropriate mindset coaching can but help.

What worries me more about this interview is the fact AB uses the term lucky enough twice, once when refereeing to the win and once when referring to his scoring. My concern here is that the first person to hear what you say is you and this can become self-fulfilling, insomuch, I/we will be lucky if I/we score/win. Personally I do not want our players training all week to take to the field on match day with the belief that whatever they do, whatever the outcome, is dependant upon lady luck, I would much rather they were of the mindset they would score and win and the only outcome they can envisage is massive success.
I have no idea if the lads are provided with any mindset preparation/coaching and if they are, the quality of it, however one thing I do know, mindset is 80% of their game, in fact to quote Didier Drogba, “The mental side is 90% of football.” I wonder which of the following categories our players’ mindsets are in, 1) Expecting failure, 2) Trying to avoid failure or 3) Expecting success. There is so much more I could get into and I may be barking up the wrong tree, however based on my knowledge and experience I think we (collectively) may be in category 2) Trying to avoid failure, to be frank, we may as be in category 1) Expecting failure, as the mind is essentially unable to tell the difference.

Thank you everyone for sharing some wonderful memories, just that fact alone appears to have built a comradery, well done Roger.
I have shared these with Judy, Roger's wife, some of you may know her, and she is very touched👍
Again, thank you all.

Or Til, the inflammatory remarks may not have been made in the first place??

Roger was a dear friend of mine and my thoughts turned to him over the last week or so since the AGM (although they often do) and then seeing that the Colemans/NCFC relationship was being rekindled, a relationship that was first forged by Roger when he was Marketing Director at Colemans and a Director at NCFC prior to his term as Chairman, I was driven to re-read an article from the Athletic that pretty much encapsulated everything he was about. I have taken the opportunity to include some of the more poignant passages here.
“The best tribute to Munby’s role at Norwich, however, would be to remember the principles he operated by and to ensure that however things are playing out on the pitch, the relationship and connection between club and supporters should always transcend it.”
“Re-establishing the connection between supporters and the club was crucial to him — not just in the city but across Norfolk, where Norwich represents the only professional football presence for one million people.”
“There were question-and-answer roadshows hosted by Munby with other staff and directors to build bridges, while his penchant for a pre-match cigarette doubled up as a regular opportunity to engage with supporters as he stood outside the City Stand.”
“It is worth mentioning BBC Radio Norfolk’s lovely tribute on The Scrimmage, which included the tale of Munby discovering that a group of supporters had broken down on their way to a game at Coventry in November 2005 and to make up for their likely second-half arrival, he described the first-half action to them over a telephone.”
Over the last 12 years or so before his passing I attended matches with Roger and there were occasions when it would take us best part of an hour to circumnavigate the ground from the car park to the Directors’ entrance, simply because so many people would stop him to chat, and almost to a supporter he recalled their name. He also regaled me with many stories, most of which were brilliantly humourous. Perhaps most poignantly he told of times, when playing away, he would stand outside the away supporters entrance and thank them all for their support.
Certainly over the last few years of his life and later, when his attendance became directly correlated to the temperature on the day, he often expressed concerns over the lack of supporter engagement. In my opinion the club needs another Roger, hopefully Mr Attanasio is that man.

If the only option is to ask Neil Adams to step in for a period to allow Knapper sufficient time to appoint a full time manager, then I for one would be happy with that, assuming Neil would be happy to take the role on. In all honesty what have we got to lose, OK we won against QPR but let's be honest, it was dismal and in reality we could quite easily have lost.
I cannot see any Plan A, let alone a Plan B, what exactly are our tactics, why do our players seem to lack any confidence, why oh why do we capitulate, something has to change, as mentioned elsewhere, to continue as we are is insanity.
I suspect the season is done, insomuch we probably won't go down but probably will not trouble the top six as things stand, so we need a new broom and not Trigger's broom, that has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles!!

Webber, unfortunately, has anger issues. A few years ago I grabbed him from behind as he was about to lump a Man City member of staff in the Directors' area. He wouldn't have known it was me as the stewards stepped in. Further compounded by his aggressive behaviour toward protesting fans when his wife intervened and subsequent outburts re Snakepit, etc. Not the actions of proper SD, imo.

We had 15 shots to their 10, so to say we didn't create enough chances is perhaps a tad harsh and 10 corners to one. That said they had 3 on target to our two, one obviously being the second goal when we were pushing for an equalizer. Overall I thought we gave a decent showing and on another day had the wind blown in a different direction could have won the game. I have a fair few Leicester acquaintances who either watched on SKY or were in attendance and their opinion was they were a touch lucky and that a draw would have been a decent result. However, to win matches you have to put the ball in the onion bag, and we didn't!

I'm not sure it should be called injury time anymore, maybe just added time🤔
Why wasn't Wagner backed in the January window?
