1. So Wes wants to play football (who can blame him), and he doesn''t think he is playing enough at Norwich, so he puts in a transfer request.

We still need him for some games, so it is declined.

If Hughton doesn''t play him much....Do we really need him???

If not, and Wes seems to be stomping his feet (if media is to be believed), lets give him his chance to play regular football.

I am sure someone like Kings Lynn would welcome him on loan...Maybe Swaffham would too...If he could fit into the squads.

Sorry to say, but thanks for all your previous efforts Wes, but short stroppy gits get what they deserve...I personally hope he stays, and if he can''t be bothered anymore for us (time will tell) then put out on lower division loan.

Maybe that would make other footballers rethink the way they go about trying to get what they want after signing a contract!

    Rant over ;)

  2.
We believe the installation of the standing for this area to cost around £250-300k, to put that in perspective we shelled out the same sum for the goal line technology in the summer, something we''ll never make a return on
What you fail to mention is that it was a necessity to have goal line technology, therefore the club had to spend the money if they wanted to remain in the PL. Don''t see how you can compare the something that MUST be complied with, compared to something that you and (how ever many) others want to see return.

Do you really think the club (or any club) will spend money for the benefit of the fans, with no benefits for the club (using City 1st reply regarding people buying cheaper standing for some matches, not season tickets), or do you know where the extra fans are that are ready to fill the extra seating/standing that will be available with the implementation of rail seating.

  3.
"Same team but I''d leave Bennet in, I thought he had a pretty good game, and doesn''t deserve to be dropped."

Yea I know what you mean, it''s harsh, but Turner is imo the better of the 2, he was only suspended for one game and so I''d bring him back.

Luckily I''m not paid to make tough choices like that, CH can disappoint one of them!
Good idea...

Turner only cost us 2 goals against Fulham on boxing day....One when he turned his back in the wall for the free kick, and then when he ducked to avoid heading Parkers strike.

Don''t know why he done it, but does not deserve to take Bennetts place at all.

Keep the same team that played so well against Man Utd.

  4. I am not a Johnson fan at all, but his performance against West Brom was excellent, and could have been MOTM.

Yesterday he was on fine form again, but not as good as against WBA. Some passes went astray, but everyone is guilty of that at some point.

His free kicks were put into the right area, but no one managed to get on the end of them.

He has clearly worked on his passing and is making less mistakes (probably coincides with the lack of long passes he is attempting).

I do think that he is in until Tettey returns from injury and gets back to match fitness.

  5. Whilst I agree that Martin was good going forward at times, his main role is a defender.Sitting in Area O gives a good view of his defensiveness in the first half, and poor view in the second,

First half he was so so at best in the defensive role. Watched him get nutmegged far too easily, and easily passed by Palace attacking. Other times he was solid.

And he does still seem too slow getting back from his forward runs, that were very good.

Those that say he had a good game must have had abetter view of the second half, and not the first.

  6.
What specifically did they lie about?
I was trying to work that out from using Ricardo''s report from the AGM.

Guess the OP will not answer or respond.....I wonder why.

But if he does and proves the ''lies'' told by the board, I will join him with pitch fork in hand ready to drive them out of the county ;)

  7. Bassong dropped (rightly so in my book) for not performing...Surely that means that Martin has to start...What does it say if the club and team captain are dropped for not being good enough.

If captaincy players don''t have their heart in the game for NCFC and Hughton, then it is not looking good for us as a team.

Maybe try Bennett and Bassong and give Turner a rest for 1 game. Not saying Turner should be dropped, but give Bassong a chance to proove himself again.

Then Whittaker can replace Martin and see how that goes...We seem to be losing too many games anyway, so why not try a little rotation..If it results in a loss, it''s probably no different outcome..Cheesed off yes.

  8. I fail to see why Ruddy has not told Watson, Hodgson, and England to shove it up their ass..Ruddy works with Watson at club level, and I believe must have some input into telling Hodgson how the keepers in the England squad are performing.Forster plays against non premiership teams, and a few matches in champions league. Hart has been dropped for his team.If I was Ruddy, I would be gutted and disgusted that Forster gets to play 90 minutes for his country to show how he can let in goals as easy as Hart does, and I was not given any opportunity at all. That treatment would tell me that the management does not really consider me suitable for the role, and would walk away. And I would have concerns with what Watson is telling Hodgson.

The other side is Watson is screaming to get Ruddy a start in goal, and Hodgson is ignoring him (as is his right as manager).

Would like to hear why Ruddy has not been given his chance in these friendlies, rather than why Hodgson has decided to pick someone that has been dropped by his team.

  9.
At one point, both Malky and Michael Laudrup appeared together on TV .[

where, when, and in relation to what....the everton job? what was said, more info please, you tease.
I recall seeing them both on MoTD as pundits...Can''t remember who third one was.

Both were asked about Everton job, and obviously neither gave a straight answer.

  10.
I think this is a good shout something needs to change why not this as a different approach
Because if it doesn''t work, then all the hughton outers will be rubbing their hands in excitement.

And if it does work, it will be luck, and not down to Hughton''s decision to adopt (albeit forced with injuries, so not really his choce) a different approach.

I will be cheering whatever formation Hughton decides on (but hoping not to see Johnson on the pitch)

    BRING ON THE MURPHY

  11. Whilst I hope Snoddy has a speedy recovery, I personally do not want to see him play on Satueday.

Would hate for him to get another knock, and suffer potential further injury to what must still be an injury inside his head.

Olsson can play anywhere on left, so guess Hughton will play him on the right and leave Pilks on the left.

Would expect to see Murphy on the bench and another day of singing ''bring on the Murphy''

  12. Before I start, I do not want this to be a rant or moan. Just observations I see at the games.

Bassong last season for us was immense, and rightly player of the season.

Since Holt has left, he has become the captain of the team. Don''t know (but guessing Hughton) who makes the decision on who will become captain.

This season he just has not been the same player. I know he has had a couple of knocks and perhaps lacked a little fitness, but he has seemed slower, and perhaps a little switched off at times.

At Stoke with Turner and R Bennett in centre we seemed more solid, and I said then if Bassong had of been playing instead of Bennett, not sure the result would have been the same. Of course it could have...we will never know, but that was my feeling.

I have not seen him trying to motivate or control the team on the pitch during any games this season (only missed Hull and Cardiff game so far) but not easy for a defender to get his motivation up to the forward players, as he is not one of our most attacking defenders.

Many people on here call for Hughton to be sacked as he has no clue (in their opinions, which are allowed), but maybe having Bassong as captain has been the wrong choice.

Trying to think why it could be the wrong choice....With a forward player as captain, Win a game and all are happy, not too worried if we concede as long as win. Lose a game, and they can lift team easier because they not (normally) defending unless from set pieces, so not normally to blame.

With a defender as captain, Win a game and all are happy, but could be disappointed (more than forward) of conceding. Lose a game, and they are definitely part of the reason, and perhaps harder to lift a team when it is down to them for the loss (I know it is a team and not 1 person is to blame).

All of this is guesswork on my part and trying to think of explanations why the team is just not quite working.

No way do I blame Bassong for being selected as captain, but maybe this has given him one too many things to think about and is affecting him (and therefore the team) this season.

And before anyone asks....I do not mind who is captain, as long as they can carry out the role placed upon them. Do I know who could...no, but feel Bassong isn''t at the moment. I do not think changing the captaincy during a season would have anything but a negative affect on the squad, so somehow Bassong needs to command the team on the pitch.

Hope I am proved wrong from now until the end of the season...More than happy to eat my words and be proven wrong...As that mean we start winning and climbing the table to finish 8th (my feeling before the season started, and I am sticking to it)
