1.

I was watching premier league years on sky sports at the weekend and caught his goal against Liverpool. Not his greatest, but showed what he could do - and it was the last one in front of the standing Kop. Didn''t realise he lived in Gorelston - does anyone know if he still has a role at the club? Don''t seem to hear much from or about him.
In March 2010, Goss returned to Norwich City to assist reserve team manager Ian Crook.[6] Moving on from his association with Norwich City football club, Goss continues to deliver his own; humorous after dinner speeches, student development and as a Leadership and Motivational programmes. He also fund raises for the Norfolk and Norwich association for the Blind. So looks like he no longer works at the club.
Looks like he is currently Biz-Dev director (whatever that is) for SoccerHubb?
2. Thanks for that - just read the report. No sign of Bassong in the line-up. Surely safe to assume now that he''s off (or at the least exiled). Shame really - great in his first season here. Nice to see Becchio on the score sheet. Got a feeling he''ll be off as well

4. Just got shown this by my lad - don''t use twitter myself but thought I''d share. Didn''t think Gossy was still around - but looks like he is doing one of the Ask Me Question things on twitter Retweeted by SoccerHubb Futebol Writer ‏@FootballBlog79 Jul 22 @SoccerHubbCom @NorwichFCtoday @11Gossy #AskGossy Jeremy is that goal in Munich still the greatest NCFC moment EVER? Will it ever be topped?
5. Some people will never be happy - and formed their opinions of Hughton before last season had even started. As it has been said before - if we win, then the performance wasn''t good enough. If we perform well but lose, then it isn''t the performance that counts only the result. If we win, it''s because the players mutinied. If we lose, it''s because Hughton is stifling them, too negative or is ''clueless''. I do despair sometimes with the things some of our fans come out with (e.g. "He is about as close to a disasterous (sic) managerial appointment as we can afford"). We are currently sitting 12th in the premier league. I don''t think even the most ''Percy Positive'' could say that this season has gone entirely to plan, and we really have watched some dross at times, but the reality really doesn''t warrant some of the ''The Sky is Falling! Won''t Somebody Think of the Children!'' overreactions. We won yesterday, and I think we played pretty well and (to use that wonderful cliche) on another day we could have had three or four. Lets enjoy that winning feeling, and hope that we can push on
6. I think there are several things which you and I won''t agree on. Goal music, however, is somewhere where our opinions intersect nicely. I''m really not sure why it made a return
7. City1st - in general I''m not a fan of zonal marking. It does, as you say, lead to the opposition having a lot of space. I''m like most fans I think - I like to see our defenders getting in the faces of the opposition, closing down quickly and showing ''desire''. I''d temper that however by saying that the system does offer some advantages. Mainly, it offers loads of flexibility. When a turnover happens, players can start attacking quickly and should (in theory, of course) know where their comrades are - allowing flowing, attacking moves. This is the style of play the Hughton is trying to build - I think. I think you and I are going to have to agree to disagree in general though. For every ''bad'' strategy you can pick out, I can find a good one. West Brom away counters your Everton away, for example. Nice to argue though - it''s part of being a fan :) Having said all this - I still don''t think things are as bad as some would make out. We''re in a slump, and we need three points tomorrow, but we''re in no different a position to ten other teams in the league. At the risk of derailing the thread, if we were to change manager what do you think of Gary Bowyer?
8.
You are cautious Chris & I claim my £5
Sorry buddy, not this time
9. I have to agree with The ghost of Michael Theoklitos'' reply above - since Boxing Day something really doesn''t seem right. I think this is a real lack of confidence and every negative result just compounds that feeling amongst the players. This is where, I think, Hughton''s main weakness is to be found. Namely, motivation and building belief. In reply to City1st, I would say that the manager has a clear understanding of how an opposing team will, in all likelihood, set up and how to counter and exploit that setup. This isn''t always the case - football managers are, I believe, human and can therefore make mistakes - but in general I think Hughton is very good at this. In this sense the strategy refers to the overall game plan, whilst the tactics are the building blocks of this strategy. Again, I think coming up with new tactics or ''tweaking things'' is another of Hughton''s weaknesses.
10. Simple (hopefully!) question. My view is that things really aren''t that bad. We''re 3 points off 10th, 3 points off the bottom three and the league this year is very, very tight. I''m of the opinion that with the marquee signings that were made over the summer a lot of fans assumed that we would walk into the top half. Unfortunately, this just isn''t that case. If we look back to earlier in the season when we played Stoke, Chelsea, Arsenal and Cardiff there were, for my mind, real signs of progress. Yes, we only got four points from those games but no-one could (reasonably) say that we played poorly or weren''t ''attacking''. I think our problems have come from injuries coupled with over-expectation from the fans. Those early matches showed what our first team could do. However, take two or three players out of that team and this is where we find ourselves. We are where we are in the league because, like it or not, we are a small fish in a big pond. Most of our rivals have a great deal more money to spend and have had a longer time to build a squad deep with quality. This should not be mistaken for ''little old Norwich'' syndrome, rather a bit of realism. As for Hughton - I don''t believe he is a bad manager. In fact, I think he is a pretty modern ,strategically astute, manager who is working with small (relatively, of course) resources. As fans we have witnessed some pretty dire performances this season, but also some pretty good ones. If I had two criticisms they would be he takes too long to make tactical changes (not just substitutions, but altering the shape of the team) and I''m not sure how good a motivator he is (I''m never convinced now that if we go a goal down, that we''ll get something out of the match). I don''t think he should be sacked - it is too late. If a new manager was to come in, it should have been in Decemeber. To preempt the trolls (who are a nightmare on this board - seriously, I''m a member of several other forums both related to my profession and other hobbies and I''ve not yet come across people with so little time on their hands as here) I live within 300 yards of the ground and go to every home and away match that finances and family circumstances allow. For those matches I can''t attend in person I either watch on TV, or listen to on the radio. I don''t do streams.
11. I''m frustrated by today, and have been at other times during the season when we have not performed against poor teams. My biggest question, however, is: Who is Caldwell? Why does he have such an influence? Is Hughton just a puppet - and behind the scenes nefarious Mr Caldwell is deliberately trying to get us related for their own Machiavellian purpose? Is Mr Caldwell even a Mr? We need answers. Now! Funny how quiet the club is over such a serious matter....
12. Play as well as we can then 3-1 to city (KK, Turner and Snoddy for us, Le Fondre to nab one back) Have an off day then I can envisage a nervy 1-0/1-1 Similar match to Wolves at home last year. Reading are playing for pride now, and can be dangerous, so should not be underestimated.
13. Sign him up - If the price is right (say £2m - £3m) then I would think we''ve done a good bit of business. As others have said he still has a lot to learn about the English game an he has improved as he has been getting up to speed, as it were. If we''re serious about competing in one of the toughest leagues in the world, having cup runs and maybe, just maybe, pushing for European football we need a decent sized squad filled with players who can perform at a high level. I think KK can easily take a spot in the 25 man squad - even with the likes of RVW coming in. Plus his attitude is fantastic - and unfortunately you just don''t get that with a lot of players (look at Berbatov, for example - great player but terrible attitude) and I think that really adds something to a team.
14. Agree with the OP. Looked hungry to prove his place in the team (squad?) but perhaps lacking match fitness, which isn''t really surprising. I''d like to see how Howson and Tetty would link up. Nothing bad to say about Johnson, I just think Tetty is just a wee bit better.
15. I don''t know where I would be without my fluffy companion. I would probably spend less on milk, but hey, purrin'' don''t come cheap. RIP Snowy, and my best regards Ricardo.
16.
Well done, Bradford. This is for football as well as for you. Have a great trip to Wembley. Paul Lambert: that''s for your punching the air at Carrow Road. Villa: your yobbish fans deserve this. What goes around comes around.
This. Definitely this.
17. Yeah I will be. Not to gloat at a (potential) upset of course, but to hopefully see some cup magic and watch as the underdog knocks out the big boy. OK, maybe I''ll gloat a little :P
18. All filled in. Good luck with this mate. I think it would be interesting to see the results - so pop back when you''re done!
19. Great post OP. I try and avoid this board the evening/following morning after a result like yesterday because of the vast quantities of negative, hysterical bilge. Taking injuries, tiredness and four straight unlucky defeats into consideration I''m pretty happy with the result yesterday. The performance wasn''t great, but we didn''t lose. Had we performed at that level last season, or even at the start of this season, I think we would have lost (indeed we did, when we played Newcastle away). The rot has been stopped, Holty is working his way back to fitness and there are still a couple of weeks of the transfer window left. Let''s all try and be positive, support the team and I''m sure we''ll see a fantastic performance next week.
20.
Should we change the goal music to ''The Who''?
^^This!
21. Disregarding the manner in which he left entirely... ...No, we''ve moved on. As others have said he was great for us but I think he took us as far as he could.
22. I''m going for 3-1. Although I''ve also got a couple of quid on 4-4!
