1.
Smudge, you do love a strawman don''t you? Oh also, we won yesterday so I''m surprised to see you gracing us with your presence.
I was here throughout our winning run under Lambert until I was exterminated.  I even spoke out against those who doubted his credentials as a manager when he first arrived, as it was obvious to see that he would be a success from day one.  So I think that it is a myth to say that I hide when things are going well don''t you?  Just another of the many myths that have been posted willy nilly over the years on here.  There is proof there that the popular opinion was that a large number of posters thought that Marc Tierney was the best thing since sliced bread this time last year and I didn''t hear any of those who were being so critical of him now state otherwise.Too afraid to speak out on their own against a popular belief I suppose?Anyhow, great result yesterday and we now have the points total that I was asking for as a minimum requirement by the end of the month well ahead of schedule.  Still a lot to work on, but the last week or two has given us a great platform to build on between now and Christmas and a big WELL DONE to all of those concerned.  For me a major reason for the recent change in success has been Alex Tettey - no surprise to me as I have been asking for the inclusion of Tettey and Butterfield (when fit) from the very start of the season.
 2.

Agree that Garrido is class and is deservedly first choice.   However lets not start Tierney bashing. He was solid in the first half of last season and I seem to recall the concern on this board then was that we get an offer that was to good to refuse in the January window. Being out for half a season and short on matchtime since then is not going to help his confidence. However he is a Norwich player and when he is called upon, and he will be at some point this season possibly next Saturday, we need to get behind him. I made a similar point about Michael Turner earlier but that he needed to give us reason to get behind him. Well gradually he seems to be doing just that. Marc Tierney will need to do the same.   Also as good as Garrido is lets get the rose tinted specs off. He does make mistakes, his misplaced pass didn''t cost us yesterday but his errors have cost us before. A couple of goals against Liverpool for instance imo. His mistakes also seem to be of the heart stopping variety, but maybe one high risk pass a game is the price that has to be paid for not just hoofing it upfield incessantly.   Great three points yesterday.   OTBC
Excellent post [Y]  especially with your reference to ball playing defenders having an increased probability of making errors, as opposed to those who constantly hoof it up field.Isn''t it interesting how some of those who clearly do not rate Marc Tierney now, were saying how good they thought Tierney was only a year ago?  Yet another case of people wishing to fit in with the latest popular opinion here.Perhaps we should bring these boys back, as some of the posters on this thread thought that they were good enough to get us promoted to the Premier League prior to realising that we were actually going to get us relegated in 2008/09.NCFC team V''s Charlton (away) - May 3rd 2009Goalkeeper David Marshall Defender/Right back Jon Otsemobor Defender/Centre back Gary Doherty Defender/Centre back Jason Shackell Defender/Centre back Adrian Leijer Midfielder Darel Russell Midfielder Korey Smith Midfielder Sammy Clingan Midfielder Simon Lappin Forward David Mooney Forward Alan Lee
LOL Is that what you meant Sussex?
As they say, if the cap fits wear it.
Don''t think it suits me but MacNamee looks fecking good to  me in it...
Are you sure on that?Take a good look again.  That team has more than one player in it that you and the other football experts on here rated.I remember you tipping them as at least a decent bet for the play-off''s that season too.Oh dear, I wish I was as insightful as you.

 4.
TK Maxx, it''s amazing.  You have to look through everything to find two things but OMG those two things will be super-awesome.Yes, this is a bit of a metaphor for "young hungry players from lower leagues".  Except TK Maxx have a 14 day returns policy.
But you are always in danger of picking up something that you, or indeed anybody else in the right mind would not want when shopping at TK Maxx Choppsy and let''s not forget that the pants (players) are not covered by their 14 day returns policy.

 6. Hopefully very soon, as Butterfield is a very exciting young prospect.   Watched a lot the lad prior to his injury at Barnsley and I was very happy when we signed him.  I expect great things from Butterfield if he is able to fulfil his potential.
 7.
My bingo calls are the same every year. There''s always 1 or 2 little ducks[;)]
Quack, quack... you certainly need one. You''ve got to pick a pocket or two boy, you''ve got to pick a pocket or two!
 8.
I think the only worrying state of affairs for me is that you believe there were Polioce officers dressed as G4S stewards inside the ground. Smudger you are an idiot grade one. Feel free to take that as an insult because it was meant to be one.Time for the real world for me so carry on in your dillusional world of Smudgerland where everyone and its auntie is wrong.I know my destiny in life and i find it such a shame that your 5 ton chip on your shoulder is preventing you making your way in life. Good night.
You don''t know your destiny in life at all. Believe me on this one.No I know that there were police officers in side the ground, in whatever unifrom that might have been makes not a jot of difference to me.  The police were to blame on Friday evening, just as your mouth will be to blame when it finally meets it''s destiny.I have no idea what a "polioce officer" is.
 9.
So G4S are different to simple stewards is that what you are now saying by the reference to " there may have been a difference in the uniform that they were wearing". I take it G4S stewards are classed as Police Officers in your eyes because you claim that they are paid by South Yorks Police and not Sheffield Wednesday. Smudger old boy it is obvious you would try and pick a fight in an empty phone box in an attempt to have the last word and be constantly right over everything.
No, what I have pretty much spelt out for you numerous times, is that there was a mixture of simple stewards, higher ranking CSA Accredited Security Officers and Police Officers/Former Police Officers (carrying out roles similar to the one that you yourself carried out many years ago) all wearing G4S uniforms at Hillsborough on Friday evening. There were also various South Yorkshire Police Officers (who are still employed by South Yorkshire Police) on duty outside Hillsborough on Friday evening.  These officers who are still contracted to work for South Yorkshire Police would/should have been in constant contact with the former Police Officer who would have been in charge of co-ordinating working for G4S and Sheefield Wednesday inside the stadium. You would have us believe that there was no Police Commander, Football Liasion Officer, Football Intelligence Officer, spotters or other police or former police officers who were working for another company beacuse these roles were contracted to another company working last Friday evening?Well I hope my version of events is closer to the truth than yours, because if your version of events is correct then I find it a very worrying state of affairs indeed.
 10.
Your arguement from the very start has been that the police failed to act on friday night at Hillsborough when that tw@t ran on the pitch. You then continued to back your arguement with such statements as the police are never there when you want them and that maybe they do not want to get their uniforms dirty. I responded and said that i think you will find that the absence of the Police was due to the policing inside the ground being the responsibility of G4S as Sheffield Wed will not pay the bill for Police officers and asked you if you saw any Police at all during the time that Kirkland was receiving treatment either behind the goal or in the crowd and if you had ever wondered why that was. You continued your rant and asked me to show the contract between South Yorks Police and G4S.What bearing that would have on the arguement i have absiolutely no idea. Now tonight i have been accused of telling lies about the policing yet on the G4S website they were recruiting for stewards at Sheffield Wednesday at the start of the season. Now you are burbling on about Police outsourcing to G4S in various counties including South Yorks. I am lost with your goal post moving but the bottom line for me is that G4S are responsible for policing inside Hillsborough whether as "agents " of Sheffield Wednesday or South Yorks Police matters didderly squat. They are there in vast numbers instead of Police Officers and that was plain for all to see the other night.
But it does matter.  At least you appear to picking up on the fact that there were police officers on duty both inside and outside Hillsborough on Friday evening.  There may have been a difference in the uniform that they were wearing, but there were many police officers on duty regardless of the uniform that they were wearing. You were implying that we had nothing more than simple stewards inside the stadium and you were wrong.Like I said the contract for policing exists between G4S and South Yorkshire Police, not G4S and Sheffield Wednesday FC.
 11. Do a bit of research and you will find out that it is part of the outsourcing scheme of certain jobs by several UK police forces to G4S.Those forces also include Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire amongst others I believe.
 12.
The contract for the employment of G4S is between Sheffield Wednesday and G4S now how on earth would i have access to that. You previously eluded that the contract involved South Yorks Police and asked me to show the details which i assume is what you are burbling on about now. How therefore can you show details of a contract that does not exist ? Try Google with regard to G4S and stewarding at Sheff Wed and it may just give you a little understanding. As for your initial comments what exactly would you know about Policing in the late eighties and early ninties as i suspect you were still having trouble with teenage acne  whilst developing that impressive chip on your shoulder.
Try it yourself, or you could always ask your friends. The contract is not between Sheffield Wednesday FC and G4S, no such contract exists.
 13.
More words of a coward.   These kind of people still protect you despite your comments. Tarring them all with the same brush is shameful but I have learned to expect nothing else from you
No police officer has ever protected me from anything.  I have seen lots of corruption from lots of officers though.Perhaps some of us are more in need of protection than others and perhaps I am a nasty person who the general public should be protected from?  It doesn''t change my opinion on the experiences that I have had with the long arm of the law though. Now where has that barking mad friend of yours gone?  I wasn''t serious about him sticking his head in the oven you know?
 14.
Time to put up or shut up as they say old boy but shut up is a foreign language to you but hey what would i know about such things as policing football ?
Indeed, what would you know.  You were responsible during the days when the police got everything wrong weren''t you?At least they have improved a great deal in recent times. Now about the put up or shut up, I asked you ages ago to provide us with Full information of the G4S conract.  Can you do that or not?
 15.
My mother-in-law reminds me a lot of you only she''s sharper and wouldn''t crap on her own.   I''m sure if you really thought it was me who threw whatever was thrown you''d know the number to report it..
Harsh. What makes you think that I would expect the police to do anything for me?  The only thing I ever remember the police doing for me is stop their car and offer to turf me out in the countryside and give me a beating when cuffed.  You really think that I would trust these kind of people with anything?Do you have that number?  Something tells me that you might need it one day.
 16.
I''m not playing anymore smudge, you started off by saying 2 players who you hoped weren''t playing and now, you''re going on about ones you hope are.  You are either just being silly or are trying to be on a wind up?   I say, you''re beginning to get my gander up, you grotty little man.
See your PM''s.
 17.
I didn''t say nobody in EBlock saw what it was and where it came from. I said I didn''t. And despite asking on here it appears nobody else did. But yet you, who were miles away, know everything about it.   Now I used to say my Mother-In-Law knew the lot but you definitely put her in the shade.
Didn''t your mother in law like you?  Perhaps it was those odd shirts that you wore? Now perhaps somebody did see where the coin came from, but if I were you then perhaps I would keep hoping that they haven''t.Now what''s for tea.  Is it goose or Lappinitup?
 18.
No I didn''t see what was thrown or where it came from. I just saw the referee pick something up. You obviously know more than me on both counts. Yet you were apparently in Braintree. Good eyesight Smudge[8-|]   Now this trip to Braintree. I reckon you were sent on a wild goosechase for a change from the police. Much as it would have been to all our benefits Braintree''s not a tree where you can pick yourself a new brain. So we''re stuck with you and the old one[:''(]
Now I quite like that, good work Knobby [Y]You have the mind of a crook.  Such a shame about the body!I wouldn''t say that I knew more than you about this event though as you were in the exact vicinity of where the coin came from and like you say I was in Essex.  I find it strange that nobody in ''E'' block saw where the coin came from and you say it is me that needs theier eyes tested. Now I may have a suspicious mind but that all sounds rather suspect to me.
 19. In this life, one thing counts,In the bank, large amounts,I''m afraid these don''t grow on trees,You''ve got to pick a pocket or twoooo...You''ve got to pick a pocket or two!
 20.

Do they offer free personal protection services to idiots?
Shame they weren''t around to offer that service when Leeds were in town![:D]
If I told you to put your head in my oven would you do it for me?
 21.
I wonder if the police got any tip offs from helpful and concerned citizens?
Why would they be concerned about your whereabouts?  Do they offer free personal protection services to idiots?
 22. No, Andy Marshall in goal and Graham Burke upfront... you know it makes sense Mr Lambert!
 23.
Erm how could you all forget Ian Butterworth FFS, morons![:@]
JP''s sidekick [Y]
 24. Never realised the Derby County side led by Billy Davies was back.
