1.

When is the last time we had such good record liked that? Surely the season when we are matching to Cardiff! We have better quality this time with 3 quality Premiership loan signings, £400,000 was lots of money but what is our target in the future? Stay in the Football League or Up the Football League we go? I definitely can''t imagine if we lose Huckerby, Crouch and Harper all together in December, especially the man of the moment Darren Huckerby! He was surely the player, not once but twice showed he can turn things around; also his brilliant benefit Big Iwan Roberts too! With Huckerby play alongside him, there''s possible Iwan can be a 20 goals striker again!
Having a look through the early posts I found this little ''gem'' - its amazing to think in the current run of 8 consecutive wins that we used to get excited about a 6 game unbeaten run...especially as this was the year we went up as Div 1 Champions I think its all credit to the club that we are disappointed nowadays if we dont win by a big margin...OK its only Div 3 old money, but thats the league we''re in because our (lack of results) got us there Seems like the good times are starting to come back after the misery of the last 4 years - long may they continue!
Does anyone know how many games in total we won in the championship since worthy left? we must have equalled a signicant proportion of them in this season alone.
2. Surely it would be bigger if they still played in their old stadium.
3. Leeds have a stronger side than Charlton imo.
4. Just over a year ago he was still in non-league so I can''t see him getting too disheartened yet, I imagine he will keep doing what he is doing for a while and will get his chances.
5. Atm we are the better side so if things continue I cant see them competing. Bear in mind that Charlton essentially also had a headstart while we had a goalkeeper in charge and yet we managed to catch up sooner than I would have expected.
6. I cant see Beckford making a huge impact in the premiership.
7. The link is about Theo not signing for them more than anything else
8. Just allow Lambert to keeping what hes doing and then see what happens.
9. It is a big shame for dean, and also a shame for the PL and arguably England. But I think some of this is over the top as most people have to work most of their life in a standard 9-5 job every day to earn the sort of money he has to play football, so although his career has been cut short, a shorter career in football would probably still be prefered to most other livings and Dario Gradi said himself that the saving grace is that he has enough money not to have to work again. So while it is sad, there are probably much worse things going on at the moment.Im also not entirely convinced that it will make a big difference to our world cup.
10. Obviously the top end of the champ will be quite a bit better but i think theres a lot of overlap between the bottom of the championship and the top of league 1.
11. You dont need to play us to find out about the diamond. Theres nothing stopping teams trying to break it down atm but they havent been successful thus far
12. Most of the current starting 11 would have a case imo. Maybe not right back though
13. How much is the train and match ticket? I was going to watch it with a few people at the bar at uni
14. Its good to see but there were some really good goals in there. Holts strike was great but the second in that video was superb
15. I just watched it at Bramall Lane. They cant defend basically
16. I dont think hes an "amazing" player. Hes not the most skilful perhaps and will make mistakes. However i do think hes better than lee and i think he is good enough for a championship first team, just not a top scorer. Hes definately a good player to have to get out of this league and a good pro
17. I think he has been riding his luck for a number of years. Im a little concerned at how Lambert deals with some players. The hoolahan situation seems a bit roeder-esque but maybe its what we need at times.
18. Every time he got the ball i thought something was going to happen for us, no matter how many players he had to get through :) hes the most exciting player i have seen
19. He isnt that fast considering he would need much more blistering pace to make up for his lack of strength
20. He does a 360 degree turn round the ball rather than using his weaker foot, but he does have quality and cant justify not even putting him on the bench
21. Freezing out players is one aspect that reminds me of roeder, but i wouldnt compare them this early on. I can see why he dropped doc and i can also understand why Hoolahan doesnt make the first team - if Lambert wasnt some balance and discipline in the squad Hoolahan may be a luxury he cannot afford. During Roeders brief successful period at Norwich, he did get some success with having Bertrand on the left and tracking back. However, I dont see the point of banishing the Hoolahan type players completely, because in games where we are lacking any ideas or need to turn it around, its good to have something different available on the bench, especially of hoolie''s quality
