1.
Yes that is a fair reflection. The point im getting across is that its easy to like a team when they are doing well ( You cant jump on the gravy train and support a team when they are doing well ) as im sure the word support means (To hold in position so as to keep from falling, sinking, or slipping) doesnt that apply to every single Norwich fan if we were on the slide? No didnt think so, as soon we have 1 bad result the like fans jump ship and whinge to hell. Dont get me wrong it was bad today but some (so called) fans are throwing the toys out of the pram against the window too much? OTBC NMTD
Day 1 results. Is it that hard? Those (oh my, "so called" should we do that? That''s controversial), fans, are upset, they have every right to be. Show some passion, excite me. Please. For the record, Hughton can have as long as he likes, as long as he delivers. When would I like him to deliver? Day1 please. Fairly sure we don''t pay him from week 10. If he doesn''t deliver, I reserve the right to moan like a girl constantly until he does. That does not make me an EX-FAN.
 2.
There certainly is. The 18 year old GlenFiddich is going down a treat thank you.
I like you :) (sharesome)
 3.
Yeah join the gang lalala. Your the one who is always left behind dribbling............
loving this, good show. There is some spirit in you.
 4. Here''s your positive: Norwich City Football Club STILL EXISTS Good thing you still have a club to support Bad thing is I get to be a smart arse.
 5.
Yes i cant wait. I hate QPR nearly as much as pisswich. There will be a reaction. The atmosphere will be electric.
Buzzin here, I like it. Pisswich is new to me, can I be in your gang? Just 1 milliamp
 6.
I will keep paying and watching my footy team i support irrespective of who is in charge and what league we are in. Im Norwich born and bred and been watching Norwich for 30 years .Obviously you are a part time/glory hunter fan emerged from the woodwork when we got in the Premiership. Correct lalala?
Seriously, welling up here, I want to cuddle you. Do you have one significant ounce of fight in you? Show it. OK let''s play. At what point is a manager paid enough to become immune to pressure? Is a day1 clause built in?
 7.
I will always give the manager a chance to turn things around as he will need time. The problem is nowadays everyone wants instant success that aint going to happen. Hughton is a highly rated manager and im confident he will do well for us.
Good for you, we need people like you. Keep paying.
 8.
I think it was somewhere near the end of the first half. A TV camera panned to what was presumably the Fulham directors box and closed in on Michael and Delia, front row. Delia stretches towards Michael on her right and clearly says to him something like ''what on earth is happening down there'' and Michael clearly replies with a rather helpless looking shrug and said something brief like "I don''t know!'' Neither did I. But I trust my wife''s instincts on these matters. She said the players didn''t seem to care. What I do know is that it was awful. Collectively the players appeared to have no spirit, guile and little energy. They gave away the ball time after time like England at their embarrassing worst. And what on earth has happened to our high pressing, effective closing down and forward runs by the full backs? And why on earth was Elliot Bennet not in the starting lineup? Dear oh dear. Bowkett, McNally and Hughton clearly need to sort it out pronto so Delia doesn''t have to ask Michael such a question again. OTBC
Remind me again why we give an ACTUAL fuck what Delia and makes a difference to this current project?
 9.
Although we got beat very easily today it is still early doors for Hughton and i believe we be ok. Yes i know everyone will be worried by that performance but i would rather have that on the first day of season than the business end of the season. All teams have at least one tonking in a season. Yes we were shite but you have to give credit to Fulham, i thought they were excellent. Hughton hasnt been here long and it will take time for the players to get use to his style of football. The issue i see here is that under lambert we were very attacking and certain players enjoyed the freedom of getting forward. Then all of a sudden he left and a new manager has come in and is a lot more negative in his style of play. Im sure certain players arent responding the way they should but thats tough shite, we have a new manager now and they need to adapt very quickly to his style. Hughton lost one game at home in 2 seasons ( Unbeaten with Newcastle in Chumpionship and 1 game with Birmingham ). I know the manager gets the flack when things go wrong but its the players who go out there and do their job. I believe in Hughton but it takes time. Things will come good but nowadays managers dont get enough time to establish themselves within the club to do what they want to achieve. All this negativity from us fans will only make things worse at the start of the season. The QPR match we really need to get behind the boys and manager and sing our hearts out. We arent little ole Norwich anymore. Norfolk people are fighters and never give in or roll over in sticky situations. KICK OFF, THROW IT IN, HAVE A LITTLE SCRIMMAGE............................
Come on, buck up, get yourself together. Yes bad performances DO NEED every bit of criticism. Don''t pacify, push on, urge, fight for what we want. Hughton needs to be wide eyed tonight, scared shitless that this here task is a big one. A very big one and here right now. "Aww bless him day one lets give him a go" - never going to work. Face up to it, he takes the tithe he needs to deliver. Now.
 10.
As I''m sure 101 other people have noted, I have returned from Craven "shhhhh" Cottage and a deeply disappointing performance. Tactics or teamwork? - both. The players didn''t seem to know what they were supposed to be doing, but that doesn''t excuse the fact that for large parts of the game they didn''t do the basics of passing, moving, keeping the ball and frustrating the home team. After the first ten minutes where we cancelled them out, they started finding space down the flanks - and then through the middle - and by the end of the game, pretty much wherever they liked. Meanwhile we carried on trying to play 4-5-1 without having anyone linking midfield to attack so Holt was running left and right with nobody to feed (bar one 1-2 with Surman, I think) and ended up chasing hoofs from the full-backs.The biggest concern for me was how frustrated the players, particularly Holt, looked with their team-mates. Several times in the second half I noted Holt, running out wide right (in the shade, the lucky sod) turning to whomever hit a pass astray and staring at them, occasionally bringing in the single or double teapot. The body language of the team belied the pre-kick off huddle and suggests there may be a few issues to be aired before our next game. I didn''t get the feeling this was a happy squad of players at all.Was it a complete disaster? Yes, frankly. Our previous manager (he who shall not be named) occasionally made tactical mistakes - we made Blackburn Rovers look good in both games last season, and that takes some tactical cock-ups to achieve. But a relatively settled squad of players who know each other were made to look like strangers today, and individual performances were generally piss-poor. If anyone was wondering why Garrido was brought in on loan, the words "Marc Tierney" should address that point. Snodgrass made perhaps the most disappointing debut since Dave the Striker, and Michael Turner appears to have a rather ironic nickname, seeing as he can''t. The most dynamic player on display appeared to be Steve Morison. Ryan Bennett made one excellent block to deny a certain goal, but should have done better with a couple of the others.A rethink all round is needed. We must beat QPR, as a home performance of that ineptitude would be a catastrophe.
Great summary, precisely as I saw it. We''ve some work to do and no mistake. Crack on.

Performance was poor, I don''t think anyone''s trying to say it was a good or even average performance. What I am shocked about is that some people have already suggested Hughton being dismissed (and not in a satirical way). I actually find that quite scary.
Tragically it''s a sign of the times ... no patience, no perspective and no dignity.
We haven''t got time for dignity, and patience is a luxury, what''s your view on situation day1? Sign of the times? What''s that? Anything you don''t approve of TODAY? Man up, let''s hear it. ?
My view on ''situation day1'' is that it is day1. The performance was poor today and wouldn''t have happened under Lambert but I can''t see the point in suggesting that Hughton is sacked (which is what I was agreeing with lalala about. Do you think that Hughton should be sacked after today? If you haven''t got ''time for dignity'' then you truly have my pity.
Tragically no space for dignity in the premiership, we need to get it right from day 1, however ugly that may be. Today we didn''t. Hughton Esq. Set out his stall for the patiently waiting Norwich public, and lets face it, it was a fucking shambles (UN-DISPUTED). What would I do? Hang on, and hope that I''ve appointed the right man. There is precisely no other option[exactly]....
When I use the term dignity I don''t mean that we should pay too much respect to our opponents. I mean that fans suggesting that Hughton should be fired have no dignity.
They''re reacting as a direct result of the utter shambles that was trotted out in yellow and green today, because they love their club, if that means calling for a the head of sobeit. Gladly dignity does not factor in those circumstances, whilst I may not be a willing contributor, I am happy to see the pressure placed at the very door of Mr Hughton.

 13.
well didnt you just know it!! after a horrid result today we get the relegated already, sack Hughton etc calls and posts!! Jeez, its ONE game people!!! Remember what happened THREE seasons ago after we got humped on the first day!!! I know we changed the manager after that game but its not the right thing to do with hughton!! He will have learnt all about what a job he has today, more than in the friendlies!! If we are struggling after 8 games then we need to worry!!!
So, people over react about a team they care about? Does Xmas surprise you every year too?

 15.
So I get home from Fulham, and the overreaction on here is absolutely mindblowingly staggering. I cannot believe some of what I am reading. Did any of you fickle people go to the game?Yes, it was a TERRIBLE performance. One of the worst I can remember in recent times. Yes, Hughton got his tactics wrong with the negativity in the first half. Yes, it''s a heartbreaking start to the season. But, people want him sacked?? Calling him ''clueless?'' Show a little respect people, it''s ONE game. If it is the same after ten games I would understand some venting, but my word give me a break. Hughton clearly felt he hadn''t set out our stalls right as he bought on a second striker at half time. People saying our players didn''t even try? What a load of rubbish. The reality is in the EXTREMELY hot conditions Fulham outplayed us. I bet you it doesn''t happen again next Saturday.I''m proud of the large majority of our fans who sang the team on till the very end, you know who you are if you did, true fans. Just remember where we were three years ago, take a breath, and look forward to next Saturday, because we will be out to prove a point. And for crying out loud, get behind the team.City till I die.
Crap. Right now we put every ounce of pressure on the team, the manager, everyfuckingone associated with this club, to get up and in to this season. Nobody should be making excuses. To criticise the team when we under perform is not a barometer on loyalty. We didn''t perform today, we didn''t turn up. Get a fucking grip quickly and get in the game. Or why bother? Simple as that.
