  1. Thank you for your comments Swompy. Frankly it drives me nuts that with our unique colors we ever play in a change strip - even Wolves (spit) gold is far enough away from yellow to be easily recognized. I also wondered if tonight''s "effort" was partly because we owe you one for stealing Grant Holt for 400K. :-) In any case, the very best of luck in the next round!
  2. Thanks as always for your reports Ricardo. Knew we wouldn''t have it all our own way in this league, but it''s a sign of our relative strength that we can overcome these poor starts to games. So overall, looking good for the remainder of the season me thinks...
  3. I would imagine that he would be looking for a Premier League opportunity ...
  4. Lazy journalism once more, Quite apart from the fact the kit is great - I can think of loads that look terrible - the caption is pathetic - "Their kit certainly didn''t give fans much to cheer." No it didn''t - only the most famous European win in our club history and two top 5 finishes... For really bad how about some of these - Southampton 1987 Wolves 1996 Stoke 1993 Sheffield U 1995 Ipswich 2005 and 2005 Hull 1998 http://www.historicalkits.co.uk
  5. Decent result for us that. Best to have two rivals share the points.
  6. " Surfer, are you Purple? See other thread on 4-2 away win " No, but that is quite funny. Although I guess it being August several of us were involved with cricket games in some way or another.
  7. It did indeed. Playing cricket that day - went out at 2-0 down, came back in to find we''d won 2-4 ... happy day.
  8. Yes, caution was a clear problem with our former manager, however what I think our results so far show is that either this league isn''t anywhere near as tough as some have suggested, or our squad is much better than the other teams (or both), so we need to factor that into the equation when judging managerial talent...
  9. Stand by what I said, we still need to cut out giving away a goal inside the first 5 minutes. Until we can we can do that it''s going to be a long hard season... hopefully this back four is it and they can develop a solid understanding between themselves. IMO we''ll see Lafferty and Johnson transition to the bench over the next few games, but they deserved to start given their past performances and one change at a time seems wise on Adam''s part.
  10. No, he''s right. We may have a half decent side for this league if we can just cut out giving away a goal inside the first 5 minutes. Until we can we can do that it''s going to be a long hard season...
  11. Best shut up shop and limit the damage.... ... of wait we changed manager didn''t we. Common lads, let''s get back at them quickly!
  12. " That foggy night in an absolutely crammed full Carrow Road was a really fantastic night for a youngster like I was then :) " That was a great time to be introduced to Norwich football. Then Keelan did the opposite of great in a game a bit later where he knew the ball would pass by his left hand post, so he wants across the face of the goal, hands in the air "it''s OK lads" kind of gesture, and of course it goes in!
  13. "Germany forward outjumps Russell Martin and Alan Hutton to put the world champions ahead " "Scotland are not that big at the back and it is not a sophisticated goal, it is not complicated" Oh well, I suppose Strachan knows what he is doing, but that was all too predictable...
  14. " I would say we still need 1 more centre back, just as cover, seeing as it looks like Bassong will never play for us again. But I''m very happy with the squad that Adams has put together. " I''d still like to see us sign a new RB as I don''t have much confidence in Whittacker.
  15. According to BBC... Norwich won the last meeting 2-1 at Bournemouth in the League Cup in September 2000 - their only win in the last 11 meetings. The last league meeting between these sides ended as a goalless draw at Bournemouth in the old Division Three in February 1960. Bournemouth are unbeaten in the last nine meetings at Carrow Road in all competitions, winning five. Norwich''s last home win was 2-0 in the old Division Three in November 1951.
  16. Cue the .... " What an absolutely disastrous week this is turning out to be. Bournemouth with their tails up now after a convincing 3-0 win and what do we do... faff around and fail to demolish CRAWLEY... It''s time for Adams to go if he can''t see momentum is desperately needed to rescue our slow start to the season. Fulham get it, they are now back on track, Wednesday get it, Forest get it, even Boro get it, in fact all of our promotion rivals do, so why doesn''t our manager? Cuellar is just the type of washed up journeyman we should NOT be signing, and what''s the point of giving Surman and Becchio any time on the pitch when we all know they are off anyway..."
  17. Good to see both Fulham and QPR already trending in the desired direction...
  18. Really should have signed for Southampton, but maybe only QPR wanted him? Bad move Leroy...
  19. Sounds like both parties are good with the apology. Nothing to see here, just move along...
  20. " Fulham now 5-1 down " Surely Magath can''t survive this start?
  21. Sounds like it could have met my 3-1 prediction, but i''ll take a 1-0 away win over them lot any day!
  22. Maybe, but I think it unlikely if only because it''s very early in the season and we haven''t got into our rhythm yet. If they score first 1-1, but if we score first 3-1....
  23. What''s amazing is he was picked ahead of Dembele - either of the two that they have on their books...
  24. Next up for Fulham, Derby away. So lose tonight and they could well be rock bottom after Saturday. Wonder how long Parker will stick around or whether he''ll try and join ''Arry over at Lofus Road.
