Didn't take any photos, only really started thinking about it later. Number plate was HE18ERG with the 8 looking like a B. Driver was tall, thin, tracksuited, Scandinavian looking. Google search of Heiberg/Helberg-footballer brings up this guy. He looks like the man I saw. Can't work out how a Swede would have a private UK plate though.

Prior to the Leeds home game I saw a bloke parking his car in the players' area behind the Jarrold stand. A bit of research leads me to think it was Kim Hellberg (Hammarby). If it was him I guess he could just have been scouting, or maybe something else?

Would he be available to us in the play offs or possibly sooner if Portsmouth clinch the league on Tuesday?

Martin O'Neill 90th minute winner at Portman Road Boxing day 1982. I was in the Churchmans right behind it. A moment of epic self control! -
EXCLUSIVE: US tycoons in Norwich City investment talks
Swaff replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
For those who are fundamentally against this, what are the alternatives? 1 Delia & Michael continue indefinitely - biologically impossible. 2 Tom takes over - he doesn't want to and you can see why, public enemy No.1 as soon as we lose a couple of games. 3 Supporters' Trust - discussed on here a few weeks ago and I believe the conclusion was that it wasn't practical for a club of our size. So that leaves an outside takeover at some point. It's just a case of getting the best deal available. If Delia thinks she's found one that is in the best long term interests of the club I think we have to trust her on that. It's easy to be cynical but from the Americans' point of view I can see a lot of untapped potential at Norwich (room to grow the business considerably) and maintaining a football club in the Premier League would give TCW/Crescent global media coverage that the Brewers never will. -

I think it's easy to get stuck in the "little old Norwich" mentality and then wonder why anyone would be interested. Demographics: Population of England 55m, 20 Premier League clubs, that's 2.75m each if you discount dilution by the EFL clubs. Draw a line between us and our nearest Premier League neighbours and you've got well over 2m (Norfolk alone is 900,000 and growing) with only one other (League 1) club inside that zone. Expand the stadium and I really feel we could really become a sustainable mid Premier League club. Maybe the Americans can see this too. Can they also see global exposure for TCW/Crescent that would come via the Premier League, something the Brewers could never achieve? So for a modest outlay (maybe £50m on the stadium, £100m on the squad and whatever Delia wants - not much if she thinks you're OK) they could get a self sustaining Premier League club with all the benefits that would bring. I can see why they would find us attractive. -
Derby v Norwich FA Cup 5th round Feb 1984

I can remember having a terrible view from behind a load of ironwork, maybe no bad thing considering how bad we were. Funny how things stick in your mind but I can remember buying a Derby Evening Telegraph (green it was) at the station and the headline was "Norwich Defender in DRI", and having no idea what DRI meant. -
