Those years of progression.

Jeez!!Have we been relegated to League 1 on the back of today''s defeat and had the debt position reinstated to the same levels as last time we were there?I accept that things don''t look great tonight and we face a must win (or at least a must not lose) match at Fulham next week, but some of our fans seriously need to get a grip. -

Alright, I give up and will post on this thread (even though it was started after mine ;-)) A special mention for Jacob, a lovely young man with autism, who is leading the singing of "On The Ball City" this afternoon. If you are at the match like me and my son then let''s get behind Jacob and the lads. OTBC! -

Are we having those god awful clappers again Saturday
Phil Schmil replied to Paul's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Please god no, cheap, gimmicky, cringe worthy and makes the majority of our fans look like retards as they can''t beat in time to we will rock you. So please, let the crowd make the noise this week.
Ok then Paul, no clappers this week, but be warned if we lose it won''t be Hughton''s fault or Bassong''s fault or Bradley Johnson''s fault or RVW''s fault or Elmander''s fault or LDC''s fault or McNasty''s fault or Delia''s fault it will be YOUR FAULT!! ;-) -
Sunderland 1 point from last 6 matches. Cardiff 4 points from last 6 matches (3 of which were in win over Fulham) Fulham also 4 points from last 6 matches. Increasingly looking like the bottom 3 will stay exactly that.
-
Game over. Sunderland lose a must win home game.
-
Sunderland in the ascendency but the Hammers still look dangerous on the counter.
-
1-2. Sunderland get one back after West Ham nearly made it 3.
-
Adam Johnson on for Cattermole. Sunderland going for it. More goals in this I reckon.
-
0-2! Deflected shot. Unlucky on Sunderland but that''s often how it goes for teams at the bottom.
-
Half time 0-1. Sunderland having a go, but look vulnerable to a counter attack and Andy Carroll''s aerial ability. Boos at half time some of which may have been directed at Howard Webb for not giving a penalty for Handball against Nolan. Same again please in the second half West Ham.
-
Get in!! 1-0 West Ham. Andy Carroll header.

No thread for Howson?
Phil Schmil replied to YellowAndGreenDreamTeam's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Plays well when given license to go forward. Is rubbish when held back.So I guess we can expect to see him playing the deeper role again next week.
He spent a lot of the game yesterday operating as a deep lying playmaker and the way he was spreading the ball around was reminiscent of Ian Crook.Sure he did break forwards at times to join the attack, but at others he was our deepest midfielder. He looked the complete Premier League midfielder yesterday and I only hope we can hang on to him next season and he remains injury free. -
Good to see him doing well at York

CJF has hit the nail on the head. Worthy was great until he won the Championship and ditched Malky and Iwan, who were the two leaders in the dressing room. He then made some terrible signings in our first season after relegation.

That''s a very attacking line-up. COYY!! -
Disappointing that some posters find it appropriate to post rumours on a supporters message board that prompt disharmony amongst the fan base when unity is most needed. Very sad.

Memories of 1971-72-1972-73 seasons
Phil Schmil replied to yellow 63's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
As a 10 year old experiencing their first ever promotion challenge I have great memories of his headed goals against Swindon and Sheffield Wednesday towards the end of the 71-72 season. Both games finished 1-0 with Big Dunc getting two very important winning goals. The one against Wednesday was very late in the game and as the ball crashed in off the underside of the bar the whole placed erupted. Happy Days.
