  1. Mr. Broadstairs,I have read this forum for as many years as I care to remember, but have never posted until today, when you brought the memories flooding back. However,I remember that day at the Ipswich game Mr. Broadstairs ( very early 60''s wasn''t it?). As I was broke, I hitch-hiked from Norwich to the Ipswich game, and asking for the cheapest entry turnstile, I ended up standing behind the goal amongst the Ipswich supporters. At half-time, when the bucket of sand was brought on to the goalmouth, I couldn''t contain myself, and climbed onto the pitch, picked up an empty beer bottle that had been thrown and booted the bucket away. I climbed back into the crowd and tried to dissapear (naive I now know). A copper eventually escorted me from the ground and I found myself on the A12 hitch-hiking back to Norwich in the freezing cold and dark. I eventually ended back in Norwich aound midnight, after getting a (gratefuly received) lift from a kind gentleman on a moped. The following sunday I bought a copy of the News Of The World. only to find my picture (beer bottle in hand and kicking out) under the headline " The Football  Hooligans Are Back". I was sacked from my job, jilted by my girlfriend and looked upon as a thug, by many others. Consequently I put that night behind me, as it created so much hassle for me. I have to say, though, that I am still proud to have registered my displeasure at that game. Thank you for the opportunity to reminisce Mr. Broadstairs and thank all of you posters for providing me ( now exiled in Scotland and unable to travel)with varied views from a NCFC perspective. God bless you all.
