Seems a week or so early but clearly Alex Neil leaving nothing to chance. Would imagine the transfer activity will ramp up this week because of this and the window opening.

Weimann also been told he can leave Villa, always played bloody well against us and could be a good addition as far as numbers are concerned.

Personally don''t think there is a need for one, had the day at Wembley, get off and rested for the challenges ahead....

Think we were set up to be more cautious for the first 75 minutes that a normal Alex Neil team, hence the exclusion of Wes. As the game wore on, we gained more and more control, much more possession and, in the end, looked like there would be only one winner. I hope I''m wrong, but Ipswich''s best chance was to gain a foothold in the first hour of the first leg, before our quality started to shine through. They can bang the drum all they want, but I would imagine deep down, Ipswich will be thinking that any chance they had may have gone, and will dread the thought of an early goal for us, because if that happens, I think we will walk away with this, I saw nothing for us to fear at all and I fully expect Wes to be reinstated next week, possibly for Dorrans as I think Redmond keeps Mings thinking about his defensive responsibilities.

Can understand the feeling of anti climax in a way as, trying hard to be objective,,(??) we are just a better team than them. They matched us in the first half but I thought second half we were dominant in possession and controlled the game for long spells without ever creating many clear chances. Console yourself with the fact that what you saw form Ipswich was the best they can muster, from us we were maybe 75% today, early goal next week and it could be a very comfortable afternoon.

Maybe worth recalling that Phelan made the small tactical switch of moving Johnson to the left side, think it was Wigan away........

If you want defenders who can play, the selection is contradicting because Miguel is known for his passing ability from the back and Garrido is a great crosser and exceptional set piece deliverer.   I''m not saying these are the answers, merely that if you set up with defenders having a requisite to attack, they''ve got to be able to do it well...

We then won I think 4 out of 5 games. You are right about momentum, but records, even goals for and against are not far off. We had scored one less and conceded three more.   But I agree momentum over expectation is the mental game we face, both as players and fans.

Last three seasons you have produced some amazingly accurate predictions based on stats at certain times of the season.   Are you able to shed any light on this crazy division. I ask as it appears to the naked eye that it takes until xmas/new year for the Champ to sort itself out and find any sort of opportunity for predictions.    

Think the point Morty is trying to make, and please correct me if I am wrong , is one that maybe in some circumstances, its best just to leave an opinion on such an emotive subject rather than voicing it....   Sometimes, saying nothing is better, although I doubt people on this forum would understand the need for tact and diplomacy......

Have to agree with Morty Pineapple some thoughts are best left unsaid.

Loan window opens next week, Leagues 1 and 2 tend to start trading then as opposed to getting involved in the dreaded window...

Other than keep Elliott Bennett for squad cover and the fact he is motivated to be here I agree with your ''Outs''   Regarding ''In''s'' again, most of these I''m with, I would like to add a loan deal for Scott Sinclair if Redmond goes, at 24 needs to be playing and I''m sure we can afford 1 year if we get the touted £9m for Nathan.   Like the idea of Guidetti too...

Sorry John cant agree. Big players will not want to play in Championship, end of...   Wes'' argument wasn''t that he wanted to leave he wanted to play. Fer is a different kettle of fish. And I think holding out for the best price is the only logical thing to do.   Relegation costs, the poor Management of last year has created this situation. RVW was never going to play in Championship, the same as Fer. We have only sold 3 players, far less than the other relegated clubs, it could be argued this is not enough as the quality and team spirit within this group failed to keep us up.   Sell any player not up for the fight but make sure we get the best deal possible for the club.

Hardly ground breaking news is it that Fer will go.....   For what its worth, my inside source has told me that Fer is mulling over move to Saints fee agreed £9m.   Cant work out how to post photos on here, so have a look at my twitter feed and you will see I get hold of reasonable info.. 100% Wiz, its the price we pay for being relegated...   These two players clearly don''t want to play in the Championship. I am sure their agents are working away and the game of poker with these two is coming to a conclusion. We have to trust McNally to get the best price and use the money wisely.   But to see Adams getting the brunt for this is so wrong, the blame lies with the management of this team since last August and that has to lie with Hughton, McNally and the board. Adams has inherited a situation where he was always going to be playing a waiting game with these players...In a way I feel sorry for him as his hands are tied..

I understand the point about selling to a rival, but if they place the best offer on the table, and the player wants to go, and he happens to be in his final year, what would people suggest?   We need all players focussed on the job in hand, any player having his head turned or wanting to leave has to go in my opinion, then invest in some hungry players. Pilks has been injured and out of form for 18 months, his value is low, he wanted to leave in January.   We don''t have the power to hold onto these players and, frankly why would you want to when Pilks has produced the level of performance seen in the past 18 months???
