1. Horrible horrible kit... well thats what I thought when I first saw it, but its really grown on me and I am tempted to go out and but one.
2. Superb goal, superb player, best midfielder we have by a country mile when allowed to play his natural game.  He has come in for unfair criticism this season and thats just pure ignorance.  Howson is a box to box attacking midfielder who has been playing in a deep lying defensive midfield role.  You wouldnt ask RVP to play on the wing, or Bale in defence, because, although they could do a job, its a waste of their ability.   He has been given more freedom to get forward in the last 2 games, that much is clear and we have reaped the benefits.  I just hope CH remembers this next season.
3. Completely agree with everything you say, I watched both legs vs Forest and both v Chelsea and he was the stand out performer for me in each of those games.  Very composed on the ball, can pass and tackle.  I think he is capable of stepping up to the first team next season.  The Murphy twins could have had a hatfull last night if their finishing was of a better quality.  They have a tendancy to take one touch too many or run into dead ends.  Its their pace that will stand them in good stead, it allows them to get in some excellent positions.
4. After his interview at the weekend blaming CH tactics for his lack of goals, I would not be surprised to see him leave.  The only deal that I can think that would make logical sense is a swap deal involving Hooper.  He will score goals in that league, Celtic can afford his wages and its only and hour and a half down the road from his home. I hope he stays, but wont be surprised if he leaves.
5. Van HOLTswinkel sounds like a winning partnership.
6. Unbelievable that Gary Neville is blaming de Gea for the draw, did he not watch the game, he kept them in it.
7. Not a pen, Rooney was looking for it. Seriously though, when is the FA going to take a stand, SAF does this week in, week out and gets away with it.  Other managers only have to breath in the general direction of the ref and they are up on a charge.  Spuds were the better team, deserved 3pts, thats what really irks SAF.
8. Whats the problem with making suggestions?  This is a discussion board, people post things that they want to discuss, if you dont want to discuss it, then dont comment, simple.  Keeping ON topic, good player but I dont think he is what we need right now, we need someone who is going to stick it in the back of the net, and a good quality CB, let Barnett leave.
9. Forget him, we have moved on, there is only 1 manager we should be chanting for. "Theres only one Chris Hughton"
10. Whats going on, the multiple threads have disappeared and now my reply has turned into a post... spooky goings on.. or someones made a mess of things attempting to tidy it up
11. 5 posts about the same thing, but whose is going to rule.....
12. 1 Month loan deal.  Odd one for me, he is better than league 2 football, not going to do his development any god.
13. I would love to be a fly on the wall when he sees the facilties at QPR.
14. Would be a very good signing, exactly what I think we need, young hungry, pace and an eye for goal.  Cant see it happening though, I think he is out of our price range.
15. I too would be disappointed, he is a good championship player who is at his peak.  We need to be improving on the squad, he is no better than what we already have.  Stinks of desperation to me.
16.

If Garrido thinks he is going to start every game, then I''d rather he go back to Lazio.  We have had enough loan players in the past who think they have the right to start every game and dont put in a shift when required.  He has been brought in as competition for Tierney, he has bags of experience at the top level but neither player has the right the expect the start.  Work hard, train hard, perform when required, thats what we need from both.
He''s not really a loan player though is he - with Norwich holding the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season he is playing for a contract. This is a tactic QPR used well with a couple of players they brought in during January - if the worst happens and Norwich get relegated we don''t have his wages to pay anymore and whilst he''s here he''ll be working as hard as he can to make a good impression and secure a longer deal.
1. yes he is a loan player.  2.I''m not criticising the decision to take him on loan, I was responding to some of the comments on here stating that Garrido wouldnt come to sit on the bench.  If he has come thinking he will be first choice, then I dont think that mindset will fit with the rest of the squad.
So you would rather that we sign a player who comes with the attitude that he''s going to be a back up? Does it not occur to you that competition is healthy and encouraged by Hughton? Any player worth his salt should believe in his ability to be number one in his position, otherwise I would seriously query why he was at the club.
Sigh... Try reading the post......as I said in the original post, "He has been brought in as competition for Tierney, he has bags of experience at the top level but neither player has the right the expect the start.  Work hard, train hard, perform when required, thats what we need from both".

19. I can understand him being sent out on loan, needs match fitness but sending him out for the season does seem a bit odd.  Bennett will be a starter (I hope) but Turner and Ward have both had their injury problems.  Whittaker and Russell CAN play there, but not their best positions.  Does anyone know if we can recall him if needed?
20. There is no point getting excited or deflated over pre-season games, its all about building match fitness.  Hughton isnt about to deploy his favoured 11 or tactics until the first game of the season.  Its frustating to watch at times and you want to see us doing well, but it means nothing.  After the Ajax game, I was really frustrated but it was an exercise in playing without the ball, something we will face at some point during the season.
21. How about "Hughton out! Hughton out!  Hughton out!".. Gone fishing....
22. Johnson put in the our best performance??  I watched a different game then  , I thought he was shockingly poor.
23.
We already have a load of young players, the ones you mentioned. Enough "future" already, now we need some experience - Turner fits that bill to play alongside the younger centrebacks and Snodgrass is a quality midfielder.Sorry but you are a tit.
What would excite me??... someone young, full of potential for the future, Bennett, Bennett, Howson, Pilks, Ayala, Butterfied for example. What doesnt excite me is a 28 year old who is injury prone and seen as surplus to requirements by one of the most experienced premier league managers. Feels (To me) like we are just trying to get bodies in for the sake of it, not building for the future.

Sorry, quoted wrong post " you are a tit" is an insult.
24.
I would say you haven''t got a clue.
Not excited by this at all, really worried about what looks like a change in transfer policy.  Butterfield, Snodgrass.. Fine but looks like they were identified long ago before Hughton came along. Whittaker and Turner... not so fine.  Are they any better than what we already have?? I dont think so, in fact I would say they are worse.

No need to be offensive, a forum is for discussion, everyone is entitled to an opinion, if you dont agree, thats fine but dont start name calling, thats for the playground.
