1. We might get Dzeko on loan if we''re lucky. Stranger things have happened.
 2. Despite being sacked, he did very well at Huddersfield (went on a very, very long unbeaten streak).I think there are certainly worse people to offer the job to than Clark. He''s a young manager who has potential by the looks of things, plus he''s unemployed so they''d be no compesation.
 3.
Who gives a shit what his political views are? He''s a football manager in England, he''s not going to start hitler saluting our fans is he?
Well, di Canio does seem the sort of person to get caught up in the moment; so it wouldn''t surpised me if he did a fascist salute after scoring an important goal or something (bare in mind he did a fascist salute while at Lazio).
 4. No, not Neville. I''d rather have someone with at least a bit of experience. If we had to go for any recently-retired ex-Man Utd, I say OGS would be the best bet.
 5. Capello will cost too much, plus he wouldn''t go to a mid-table club (I can see him trying to a big paycheck in somewhere like Qatar or China). Klopp will cost too much as well, considering he''s just won the league with Dortmund (maybe Chelsea would be interested?).If Emery hadn''t gone to Spartak, he''d be my first choice from that list. Got Valencia to a very comfortable 3rd in La Liga.Postecoglu and Arena don''t look cut out for the Prem. The A-League and MLS are of vastly less quality. On that list, Zico, Dutt and Rijkaard look the most realistic.
 6.
Bad day to go to the beach?!
Maybe he''s on holidayt abroad or something.
 7. This from the bottom of the BBC story: "Villa are not the enticing proposition they once were, and Norwich are no ''country cousins'' by comparison - Carrow Road''s 22,000 season tickets last season matched that sold at Villa Park. Norwich chief executive David McNally is a tough operator and will do his utmost to keep Lambert. The Scot will need convincing by Villa, if they are allowed to talk to him."
 8.
what a tosser he is if he does go after what he has said
To be fair, I think we haven''t got as much right to be angry at Lambert than Swansea have to be at Rodgers. Lambert never explicitly said he was staying, or wasn''t interested in the Villa job.
 9.
It would be a bit rich coming one week after he claimed to be happy here and had never asked to leave though .
You know Rodgers said the exact same thing about Swansea? Look where he is now.
 10. Hughton for me. Maybe Di Matteo if we can get him (although he might go to a bigger club in Europe now he''s won the CL).
 11.

Its a CR@P league. 2/3 teams go for the title, 5/6 others go for the final euro places and the final 11/12 teams aim to avoid relegation!
Almost every top league is like this at the moment. I don''t like it either but the Premier League is far from the worst offender (Spain is a f***ing awful league when it comes too predictability). The Premier League can still surprise you though, who would''ve guessed Newcastle would be challenging for a Champion League spot at the start of the season?
La Liga was actually surpising last season as well, with Levante getting into Europe and Villarreal getting relegated.
 12.
Wow, all that''s missing from this timeline is Chelsea winning in Munich to shatter our record over there, if they do I''m sticking a few quid on your scenario happening Rocky..............can this weekend get any worse?
Fortunately, our record is safe forever. No English team has ever beaten Bayern at the Olympistadion, and they now play at the Allianz.
 13.
Lambert favourite for Villa job, will GH go with him?
I don''t think Lambert will go to Villa, mainly because OGS turned them down. Now, no disresptect to the Norweigan league or Molde, but Villa are an established Premier League club, with a rich history, the potential to challenge for European football and a big fanbase. Something must be off for OGS to turn down the job. That''s why I don''t think Lambert''ll be interested.
 14.
Drury confirmed they will be playing. Michael Nelson will be playing to.
Ah, that''s good then.
 15. I''ve been hearing a lot of rumours about who''s playing on Tuesday (Huckerby, Pacheco, Lansbury, etc), and wondered who''s confirmed that they''ll be there?(Thought this will be bit of a break from the endless Holt threads)
 16.
1) He''s 31. He has got 2 maybe 3 years in him where he can preform at this level before retiring. Ive heard that the highest paid player in the squad is on £14,000 a week. Grant deserves more than that, and with 2 kids, you can understand why he would want a pay rise, if norwich wont give it to him, then he might as well look elsewhere.
I''m sorry, but £14,000 a week is more than enough to raise two kids.Other than that, all good points.
 17.

Quote from the BBC story: "Norwich have refused to confirm that the former Nottingham Forest forward has asked to leave the club."Still might not be true....
If the club have said that then it seems to me like they are just stalling whilst they prepare a statement. If there was no truth in it then surely they''d just say so?
You have a point. Plus that article isn''t very well-researched, as it said Holt got us from ''League Two to the Premier League'' (migh have changed it now though).
 18. Lambert, if I had to pick one. Knowing him he''ll find another Holt (Rhodes maybe?), plus Holt''s only got a year left on his contract anyway.
 19. Quote from the BBC story: "Norwich have refused to confirm that the former Nottingham Forest forward has asked to leave the club."Still might not be true....
 20.
If the reports are true of course, and I''m pretty sure he won''t win Player of the Season 4 times in a row.
Compeletly agree with this. Some who doesn''t want to be at a club can''t be captain.I''d pick Ruddy as captain now.
 21.
I think the only answer is Sunderland or Newcastle want him.  Probably Sunderland..  They need to spend wisely but need strikers desperately.  Or North West club like Everton.  I think a move nearer Carlisle would always be of interest to him especially if it was for a whopping payday and wage increase.  Gutted though.
I''d say it''s probably Everton (haven''t really got any decent strikers other than Jelavic) , although Lambert might sell to O''Neill.
 22. If it is true he''s put in a transfer request, then he should be stripped of the captancy if he ends up staying. Not lashing out (he''s been a great player for us), I just don''t feel that a player who doesn''t want to be at a club should be captain.
 23.

The fact the request was rejected could be good news. If Lambert was about to go, surely he''d accept (maybe to sign him at his next club). But turning it down shows he could be wanting to stay.
the club have rejected it maybe, not lambert
Possibly, would be good to have some clarification from the club quite soon though.
