3.
Now Morison''s on I''m cautiously optimistic. If we get a goal in the first ten minutes, everything changes.
Well, there goes that optimism.

5. I''m going to say a 1-1 or 0-0 draw. I have a sneaky feeling that we might get a narrow win (Fulham are without their best player after all).
6.

I have a feeling this will backfire for Southampton. I can see them being like QPR last season and West Ham in the season when they got Tevez and Mascherano.
Didn''t both of those teams stay up [:^)]
QPR only got last day survival (as did West Ham I think). My point is that signing expensive players can backfire (plus, what if he gets injured and is out for the season? £12m down the pan). It might also upset the rest of the team. As Ramirez is on big money, he will most likely think of himself as a starting player, and if he''s out of the team for a while (injury/suspension) he''ll probably replace the player filling in for him (no matter how well the replacement has done). This might annoy the other players. Sort of like how Rooney is an automatic pick for England after coming back from suspension.
7. I have a feeling this will backfire for Southampton. I can see them being like QPR last season and West Ham in the season when they got Tevez and Mascherano. I sincerley hope we never spend this much on one player (especially one with no PL experience) until we become a top 8 side (which doesn''t seem like happening any time soon).
8. Can someone explain why Lappin''s called the King of Spain? I''ve been wondering for a while.
9. Great post. Pretty much sums up my opinions.I should also say I''m glad we haven''t spent silly amounts on one player (£7m on Rodriguez for example. What if he gets a broken leg on the first match of the season?). It''s also worth remembering that the budget is for the whole season, so it makes sense to have a little left over to strengthen in January if need be.
10. To be honest, I wouldn''t be all that keen on massive investment at this point in time. Teams like QPR show that big spending doesn''t always guarantee success (in fact, I''d say QPR are one of the favourites to go down this season).
11.
If we''re going to go for our ideal up-coming African striker, I''d prefer Emmanuel Mayuka, who was another star at CAN this year.
I agree, would definately prefer Mayuka. Plus, he plays for Young Boys in Switzerland so would probably be cheaper than Aubameyang.
12.
Is that picture Chris Kamara? I hope so. Also, hahaha - firms!
It''s Neil DeGrasse Tyson, not Chris Kamara.http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/neil-degrasse-tyson-reaction
13. Very impressed by Lukoki last night, but I don''t think we''ll get him on loan. He seems easily good enough to at least be a squad player for Ajax.
14.
Looking forward to the Ajax game, anyone know what the crowd is likely to be?
I reckon 15,000 max. The Gladbach game might be higher because it''s on a Saturday.
15.
If you can find an unsigned copy, it''s worth a fortune.
Really? I picked one up in the Canary Store at the end of last season for about £4 I think. They had a massive pile of them.
16. Spent a while doing the entire BBC predictor, and got this table:http://oi49.tinypic.com/141m49t.jpgI''m going for Man Utd to win the league, with Man City, Arsenal and Newcastle in the CL. Everton get the Europa spot.Without Redknapp and the likes of Modric, Bale, etc (who''ll most likely leave) they''ll probably finish above mid-table, but below the European spots. Same for Liverpool. I can see us surviving, but with less points than last year and only mathematically being safe in our 37th game. West Brom and Swansea''s inexperienced managers will probably send the down, with Swansea being the worst of the two as Second Season Syndrome hits (Laudrup seems to play the same way as Rodgers, so they''ll be figured out quickly).
17. I think we might actually get him, he''s just come out and said he wants to play for a bigger club than his current one (Liberec).
18. Either Emnes or Best would be good replacements, with Best probably the cheaper option (he''s not really needed at Newcastle, where as Emnes is one of Boro''s best players). Best might also want to link up with Hughton again.
19. No, no, no, no. A million times no. Average to below average player whose wages would be too much for us to afford. I''d rather keep Chris Martin than sign Campbell.
20. If we can get Barnetta, that would be quite a coup. Reckon he''ll go to someone like Newcastle or Spurs though (if he goes to England at all).
21.
No you wanted away from villa etc But villa on opening day would be something to shout about....home or away a win would be a must......
I doubt we''ll get Villa on the first day considering we played them on the final day last season.
22. Prediction- Southampton (home)Would like- Man City (away)The reasoning for this is that we never seem to do well on the opening day (our last three have been a 7-1 loss, 3-2 loss and 1-1 draw). So I''d rather lose to a big team like Man City (and let''s face it, we''ve got no chance of winning at the Etihad anyway) than a team that''ll be around us come May (e.g Southampton). Plus, it''s better to get the tough fixtures out of the way early on. Although because I''ve said that the fixture computer will throw out the opposite of what I want. :P
23. I think if something big does happen (such as a team leaving the tournament in protest) that would serve as massive kick up the arse for FIFA and UEFA. So much so that they might say to Russia  ''sort out your racism problem by 2016 or don''t expect to host the World Cup''.
24. At first, I wasn''t that worried about the racism in Poland and Ukraine (in that, I didn''t think it was that widespread), and that hosting a tornament with players of all races and religions would help drag the attitudes of a minoriy of supporters into the 21st century. However, after seeing the excuses of the people in charge (like that police chief who said that the fans weren''t doing Nazi salutes, but pointing at something in the distance) I now realise there is a deep problem. I mean, if the Polish and Ukrainian FA and police, as well as UEFA and FIFA, came out and said a few months/years ago ''Yes, there''s a problem with racism in football stadiums, but we''re going to work our hardest to fix it'' I feel that something was being done. But the fact they''re flat-out ignoring the problem makes me think it was a mistake holding the tournament there.
