  1. Can''t see the Wolf being here next year unless there is a change of management at the very least. Doesn''t seem to look as though he is enjoying the way we play football at the club. Could be wrong of course...
  2. Robert Chase, but the relative success he lead us to, proved to be his undoing. Can''t see any other Chairman taking is to 3rd in the Premiership. Sir Arthur South called the Barclay ''scum'' and was always booed when he took to the pitch pre match. Haven''t got found memories of him. Bob Cooper was a dreadful appointment and just shows that someone with absolutely no idea can become a chairman of a football - at least if Delia''s involved.
  3. Ruddy hasn''t been as good this season (who has?), but that''s just par for the course in the general malaise so far. Had needed a good game against Man City, but fell short like everybody else. Hart has been out of sorts for a long time now and that fact that he had no real competition to threaten his place added to his complacency. He deserves to be dropped for England. Seen very little of Forster this season, but he''s a good keeper and has the added bonus of not being Hart or Ruddy. Will be interesting if he gets a game.
  4. I still want Hughton out as I cannot see how he is going to change his whole philosophy which generally hasn''t worked. The first hour of yesterdays game was a woeful performance and I couldn''t see us getting anything other than a new manager from it. It was unacceptable. The penalty seemed to give us confidence we haven''t had for a long time and we got the result. We''ve have got the players to easily stay in this league, but Hughton is still not the man to take this club forward in my view. I want the best for NCFC and if somehow Hughton can turn it around I''ll be happy, but I just cannot see it. Remember West Ham aren''t a great side, so we should keep our feet on the ground despite an extremely welcome three points.
  5. I enjoyed Lambert''s variations a lot and I cannot think of a single player who was unhappy as nobody got frozen out - he was always bringing players back in the squad and used substitutes often. When a player was eventually moved on by the club, they only had good words to say about him, not this has with CH. One thing I''ve noticed is how we tire as a team yet we used to be good at getting late goals in games. The fitness levels have gone down for sure under Hughton and even worse this season - Lamberts use of all the squad probably meant they were less tired and we benefitted from that. I''m just sick to the guts of Hughton''s negative tactics and I can''t wait for the club to get rid of him. I don''t want Lambert back, but the approach we had under him. Just got to find who...
  6. I want us to win and Hughton out, but I suspect least one of those isn''t going to happen. The players aren''t playing for Hughton despite what they may say, so a draw is the best we can hope for.
  7. My guess is the board are in a pickle that they never thought they would be in and don''t quite know what to do. I''m disappointed that Hughton is still here. I heard last week from a good source that the players like Hughton personally, but not professionally as they don''t like his negative tactics - they are being forced to play a way that their heart is not into. The players aren''t giving him 100% - not even close. Contrast this to Lambert''s positive get up and go (not always successful, agreed) tactics, it doesn''t take a lot of working out why you see such lacklustre displays. Hughton is finished and his nice guy image is dragging this end play out unnecessarily. We had steak under Lambert. Now we''re eating spam fritters.
  8. I agree with much on this thread. I didn''t expect him to be as good as Lambert, but not as bad as has become. A safe pair of hands. In hindsight, it was the wrong appointment and the club not only lost the momentum under Lambert, but Hughton lack of tactical nous has taken us backwards. We''re worse now than when we were in The Championship and that is down to Hughton. He should of been sacked by now, but the club haven''t been pro active either.
  9. I initially thought that Hughton would be not as good as Lambert, but not as bad as he has turned out. A safe pair of hands, but no more. I was a naturally concerned after the first game last season and was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt (like many others) at the end of last season after some woeful matches. I''ve wanted him gone for most of this season for many reasons and see absolutely see no reason to keep him. He has sucked the drive and soul out of the squad - his squad. I do not blame the board for appointing him, as it seemed a logical choice at the time, but as I said, in hindsight it was the wrong decision as he is taking the club backwards. The club kept Worthngton way too long. I don''t want that to happen again.
  10. My view is that Hughton has never had the full support of the dressing room and that has deteriorated to the extent it has now. While watching our mauling at Fulham at the start of last season, I simply said what I thought - the players aren''t playing for him. And what I mean by that is not every player, but in more general terms. What has happened has an air of inevitability about it. I think Hughtons negative tactics have come home to roost and some key players - Bassong (who has openly criticised Hughton''s style of play) being one of them, have just had enough and aren''t motivated anymore. In hindsight, Hughton was the wrong appointment and it is one I would of hoped the board would of addressed by now.
  11. When the players aren''t playing for the manager, you replace the manager. Hughton cannot turn this around. On the most ardent and deluded Norwich fan would think he could. Hughton Out! Out! Out!
  12. I''m sure the board must have someone in mind at the very least and Mackay''s position at Cardiff is watched with interest. If the board can''t get their man straight away, I''d happily see Adams take change for the next game as he can not do any worse than Hughton and plays the game the ''right way'', but I don''t think it would be in anyones interest to have Adams as a permanent appointment.
  13. The board are being weak and naive by seemingly giving Hughton more time. Too many players aren''t playing for him. Hughton has turned out to be the wrong appointment and the board should be big enough to admit it. The West Ham game has Worthington/Burnley written all over it. How bad do things have to be before the board replace him?
  14. I''ll accept tomorrow! I don''t want the club to give him one more game to ''get it right'' as there appears to be too many players that aren''t playing for him (though not losing the dressing room outright)
  15. I woke up this morning, expecting Hughton to be gone - not so. It''s obvious (to some) that Hughton has lost at least part of the dressing room. You need a team firing on all cylinders and that will not be the case while Hughton is still here. He has past the point of no return. I was told by my ''mole'' at the club - no I''m not naming him - many weeks ago that he was worried by the splits in the dressing room and factions within the squad which generally wasn''t the case under the previous management team. There is no reason to keep Hughton at NCFC. A more ruthless board would of sacked him by now, but I am at a loss at why he is still here. He is finished.
  16. I had a lot of time for the ''old'' Man City fans. Seemed genuine, with a dry self defeatist way of looking at their team. And they weren''t Man Utd. The price of ''success''... We walked into a pub near Maine Road - in colours - which in retrospect wasn''t a wise move. A guy came over and said ''Millwall fans were in here a week ago and got stabbed.'' We got left alone, but we didn''t hang around too long...
  17. I do feel sorry for Becchio. If Hughton has no intention in playing him - which he clearly doesn''t, then why didn''t they sell him pre season? It''s a bit like being dumped by your girlfriend - she doesn''t want you - but she doesn''t want anyone else to have you either! Hughton is like Roeder, only nice.
  18. I remember going to see Norwich play Man City on Boxing day when they were at Maine Road ( ''87 I think - we lost ) and a female Norwich ''supporter'' spend the whole game knitting a shawl... Even as a teenager, I realised some Norwich fans were a very strange breed. I''ve always maintained Norwich would get 15,000 every (other) week even if they wasn''t any match to watch. Just go for a moan. Then again, at present, they is much to moan about!!
  19. Agreed. The best striker in the world would have trouble scoring many goals in this current team. The manager is the problem. Period.
  20. The January Transfer Market is up in the air because it will depend a lot on who in charge. I don''t expect to be Hughton, though whatever he could bring in, he won''t get the best out of them as has already been proven across the team. A new guy will get some money, but not a lot I imagine as the club clearly didn''t think this would be necessary after the summer spending. It will be a ''keep us up and we''ll review it in the summer''.
  21. QPR''s problems stemmed from two major areas, many players went there for the money which destroyed the dressing room and the had the wrong man in charge (Hughes) to deal with that situation. When Harry came in, I don''t think he could be believe what he was seeing. Had Harry been brought in for the start of the season, they wouldn''t of gone down. While Harry''s off field activities may of been questionable, as a manager he is exactly what we need, instead of the negative, depressing and demotivating Hughton.
  22. Out. Out. Out and Out. How he is still getting support from some fans I do not know. How bad will things have to be before the penny drops? Unless you''re (very) easily pleased, Hughton has to go. Period.
