Blackburn are going nowhere in 18th in championship the lad knows where the net is I am sure he would come here be good in front of Naismith
We were in for him back when Lambert was manager but he had recently signed a new deal so financially it wasn''t an option. I like him as a striker and I think he would score a bag load of goals if given the chance too. Initially at the time Rhodes was quite keen to come down but it never materialised and to be fair to him he got on with it.

 3.
The Premier League and Championship have different FFP rules. If Bournemouth were still in the Champ they would also have a transfer embargo - as they are Premier League now the Football League has no authority to enforce an embargo. The different rules for different leagues are explained here http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/financial-fair-play-explained.php
aware of that, just shouldn''t be the case that the generally more successful or richer clubs in a money laden league should be able to abide by different rules. should be an FA thing as opposed to an FL/PL rule.
 4.
Not until we have a better replacement
Just ordered a cardboard cut out and currently trimming my chest hair to stick on.
 5.
Whilst I don''t pretend to know the ins and outs of FFP, surely with the minimal income Bournemouth have, surely they are breaking the rules, again, throwing all this money around.
And yet unlike Forest and Bolton etc they got a slap on the wrist so where is the incentive not to do it again? A small fine of £250,000 on nigh on £15m of transfers isnt going to hurt them or make them think twice. Just been invested in heavily as well so expect them to do a sort of QPR type of dance over the next 18 months.

 7. As far as i am aware we are in for Tom Lees and have even had a look at Forestieri (although he has flattered to deceive previously at watford and forest if i remember right) so not a huge guess to think there could be swap deals between Wednesday and us with the players we have there and Lees for them.
 8.
At least he hasn''t got too far to travel ! We still have the Murphy''s, Carlton Morris and Loza to develop, not sure this lad is any further on ?.
Do agree with the fact that we have Loza and Morris as the other options for up top (havent counted murphy''s in this position) but I mmust admit having been a big fan of Morris in the U18 he has dropped off as he has fuond that his movement off the ball hasn''t been cute enough to get better of defenders enough whilst Loza completes the incredible feat of 5 goals in a game and yet has struggled to get a sniff of a game and a goal whilst out on loan at several clubs over the past 18 months. I would dearly like to see these boys come right through and make it but do we think they will? (Probably a completely seperate discussion!)My thought is very much that if we want to try and get an up and coming striker who is scoring goals in Pro football at a reasonable level then surely a better option that £10m or whatever other number has been mentioned on Dwight Gayle.
 9. I got 8/10 and I am 23....would say that is impressive but I clearly need a better social life!
 10. Bit of a bold suggestion here and I am wearing my tin hat at the ready but if we are to complete deals to see Lafferty and Hooper at the very least leave and we bring in one or 2 more strikers and need another up and coming option I would be inclined to suggest Washington? The boy is 23 years old, has been a good goal scorer at a lower level (yeah I get its not the prem...) but with 14 goals already this season he is raising some eyebrows with his ability to run in behind whilst finding space between the centre backs and full backs. He is also a quick lad with the ability to get on to the end of things. I am not suggesting he is the main man as far as I am concerned but with all the talk of Gayle, why not go for a cheaper and probably just as capable alternative?interesting to see as well we finally lost out on Randall Williams from Dulwich Hamlets to Palace (bit closer mind!)
 11. Your perception is that he is trying to get into the team, the way I am reading it is that he is perceiving himself to be the victim and that he is not getting the opportunity he deserves..some fans will either agree/disagree with whether he does. But the way I see it is that he is one of the few players who has been very quick to speak to the media about his situation to try and force issue with either game time or a move. As far as I can see he has taken it to the point where AN has had questions to answer about Lafferty''s future into and beyond January. I take exception to players complaining about their situation to the media (and no he isn''t the first ot ever do it) as I feel that players should get their head down and work and a resolution will become apparent that way (much like grabban has had to take his pennance). I just don''t find him a particularly clever player with the media.
 12. I just think a serious question about what is a very good time for NI and the Euros next year deserved a proper answer, that and also I am hardly endeared to his willingness/speed at talking to the media about particularly his situation here (saying about probably wanting to leave, saying he hasn''t had the opportunity all after wanting to "stay and fight") when he should either be quietly seeking the move or getting his head down and working rather than trying to create divisions that polarise fan,team-mate and even coaches view points. He is trying to turn himself in to a media darling and really I think his focus should be on the pitch where he isn''t quite as innovative and clever...

A serious question in relation to what is a massive achievement for N.I and that is his response...

 16. Went on a once in a lifetime holiday the other day, I tell you what, never doing that again!Got back to my car after said holiday and there was a note saying parking fine, that was nice.Went and sold my old hoover the other day, it was just there gathering dust.I was stood in the park the other day thinking to myself why do object look bigger the closer they get? Then it hit me. My wife was demanding for her birthday and wanted something that went from 0-200 in less than 5 seconds, so I bought her a swet of scales.
 17. I think bruce forstyh''s fall was from the stairs, I just wonder if there was anyone shouting higher or lower at him?
 18.
There''s currently a thread running on TWTD extolling the virtues of the "Fine City." The usual suspects are contributing, including a character who calls himself Arnie M. The mere mention of Norwich is like a red rag to a bull for our Arnie, and he''s usually prone to making things up as well, such is the depth of his jealousy. His response to the praise:- "City centre maybe, but the rest of scumville is the County''s largest council estate. Have you see suburbua scum? Its an utter shyteole." Well! I was brought up in Hellesdon and now I find out that it''s an utter "shyteole." (To say nothing of Catton, Costessy, Sprowston, Thorpe Hamlet, Eaton and so on and so on.) What piffle! Well suppose it means that some of them have given up on the football so now need to attack the City instead. They are surely onto an even bigger loser there.
That man has never been via whitton, I swear the truth there is a house opposite a petrol station...looks like a crack house and yet has a jag in the drive and cctv cameras...Clearly a safe and affluent area.... :/
 19. Plymouth away in the good old days of antoine sibierski was a long one, but then so is carlisle, sunderland and liverpool way! for sheer pain in the arse to get to though plymouth is probably the worst. If we have played somewhere miles away in a stupid location I have probably been there (for my sins)
 20. He probably would of been coached as a very different player possibly in a different position with very different attributes if he was born a bit taller so its not really comparible. If he was 6ft 2 he probably wouldn''t be a number 10 with the turning circle of a flea.

Which does appear to be a totally alien and incomprehensible activity to you.
Comments from ignorants like this is why English football never take the next steps out of the backwaters. England got the players, but not the athletes or the nescessary attitude. Football these days is a game of athletes. No more, no less. In earlier times, where you probably are still stuck, a team could get away with carrying a few junk-in-the trunk players. Nowadays you can not. As for the Barca-Leverkusen game, Barca win it with two quickfire goals, but Leverkusen played a very good game, and could easily have won or drawn this game. My point, in all this, is that if you have a team that is inferior to the opposition, you got do something to level the playing field a bit, and thats more running, more tackling, more ground covering, more "boring athletics stuff". Or do you expect us to pass Man C, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, et al off the park with little physical effort?
BALL MOVES QUICKER THAN THE PLAYER...so by passing you don''t need to rely on athletes. Secondly the whole you have to run more to level it...no. Its called being smarter and if you are running around chasing the ball like a dog with a tennis ball then you deserve to lose. passing is designed to force the opposition to move in realtion to the ball. A clever team will know when to drop off and let a team have it and when to press up and close off space. Moron.

 24.
According to BBC pre-match writup of Liverpool-Norwich, they claim that Norwich have covered less ground than any other team in the division so far. If so, it is slightly worrying. I guess the stats probably comes from Opta, http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34236959 Norwich''s tally of seven points from the opening five matches is their best start to a Premier League season since they had 10 points at the same stage in 1993. Their players have run a total of 514km so far in 2015-16, the lowest tally in the division. Wes Hoolahan had provided four goal assists, more than any player in the top flight this season ahead of the weekend''s fixtures. Alexander Tettey has already been booked four times this season. It is the highest tally in the Premier League.
Maybe we haven''t run as far because we have been making other teams chase the ball rather than the other way round? I don''t see an issue where if a team are near their own box and we are in a strong position that we should go charging after the ball and let space in behind, they can have it in areas we don''t see as dangerous. A big thing I say when I coach is let the ball do the work, and that the ball can travel a lot further and a lot quicker than the player can. Which is why maybe we haven''t been running as far? Also the style of football will dictate this as well with boys at leicester for example nearly topping the tables on distances which is a reflection of their drop deep and sprint on the counter style of football..?
