1. Personally I think this is really bad but can understand why Pearce does not want to make a big thing of it. Me thinks in the cold light of day when the likes of Ryan Giggs speak about the wonders of being an olympian this will backfire on Bale and he will wish he took the opportunity - even more so should we win a medal let alone gold - but of course Bale has reduced the chance of that happening.
 2.
Just you watch a Villa type outfit nip in and sign him............biggest budget yet my a*se!
LOL - Lambert is more interested in the players down the road at portaloo road and players from league 1. Villa have not the money anymore to outbid us lol
 3.
What would excite me??... someone young, full of potential for the future, Bennett, Bennett, Howson, Pilks, Ayala, Butterfied for example. What doesnt excite me is a 28 year old who is injury prone and seen as surplus to requirements by one of the most experienced premier league managers. Feels (To me) like we are just trying to get bodies in for the sake of it, not building for the future.
Lol think you will find he played most of his games after O''Neills arrival
 4. Because both clubs will agree nothing is to be released and along come people who cant resist talking ie people at the club who should not be. Also think if we spoke before it could be classed as tapping up couldnt it ? If you are going to blame our fine club for this you must put the same charge to almost every other club and even most businesses.
 5.
Yes apologies I misread the article and I assumed we had gone back in a second time and that was also rejected. But as its stated above, if we offered 1.75m, no wonder it was rejected. If we really want him they we should pay the reason price and in my mind no more than 3m would be the figure.
Any more comments that you are going to regret putting ? suggest you keep up to date on ssn where a fee has been agreed in the region of £1.75m - Bet Mr McNally is laughing at you when he has his daily read of the board today lol
 6.
Just because Leeds have won that case doesn''t mean clubs will stop paying for policing. At least, hopefully that won''t be the case!
This is a high court ruling and therefore now law. Why wont every club now say we are not paying or even want their money back. I am not sure however that the 3 years will apply to all as Leeds specifically have been saying they should not have to pay for 3 years. The way i have written that sounds like an arguement with you sorry does not mean to be just showing the way the law now stands. The police say it costs £80000 to police a leeds game of which they ask for £62000. It sounds a lot but if you think about it if there are 300 police on duty ( that would not need to be ) at £200 that comes to £60k but would love to know how the £80K is made up. Would also like to know if the club save this money will our ticket prices be reduced lol. Maybe our policeman friend on the board could enlighten us more on the cost ?
 7.

I''m getting married in six weeks, and our theme is Norwich, and Harlequins as my future wife is a big rugby fan. Our tables are named after NCFC and Quin players. Which five NCFC players would you have?
Congratulations on your marriage, I hope your day goes well. At a slight tangent, I''d have tables for five Norwich City managers, rather than players. This symbolises marriage much better, in my view**:1 The Paul Lambert table - where it''s a match made in heaven, you''re blissfully happy for about three years or so.2 The Nigel Worthington table - where after that promising first few years, things start getting rather dull and dreary.3 The Gary Megson table - this symbolises the point where you start wondering where all the money''s gone and why things seem to have been sold from under your nose.4 The Martin O''Neill table - where she finally f*cks off elsewhere, claiming you lack ambition and she can do better elsewhere.5 Finally, the Mike Walker table - when you both decide to give it another go, before realising about a year later that actually you shouldn''t have bothered. ** if you''re reading this, love you, honey xxx
Would those on table 1 be assuring the happy couple they will stay until the end and then leave early for a bigger club themed wedding up the road ?
 8.
Forget Snodds, Davies et al, the boards main priority is debt clearence imo....of course, when we get relegated the debt will just increase again but the stupids don''t compute that. Why do you think Lambert left eh? pathetic transfer budget thats why. Despite the unsupported claims where is the evidence of the biggest budget ever? Expect only freebies, budget players etc coming in and prepare for the big drop, the one season when its vital to stay up, with increased financial rewards, we try and do it on the cheap. The past 3 years brilliant work is about to be destroyed, I expext you''ll all get your fiddles out while it burns.........I feel a few Hex''s coming on.[li]
1. Correct me if I am wrong but did McNally not keep us out of administration by making agreements with the banks. Part of that was to repay over a couple of years when we got promoted - luckily we did but dont suppose for one minute it was thought we go up to prem that quick. Thought if we dont pay they can just take the cash anyway - have a quick look at Portsmouth / Rangers. 2. There is no evidence for that - it is more likely that Lambert left as he had no confidence in his ability to keep us up. He may even have been sacked ( we dont know ) as the board did not think he was the right person to keep us up. Just as likely as your statements. 3. There is also no evidence that this is not true - what reason would there be for lieing ? we all know about our finances so everybody could have accepted a statement saying this is our last year of no money and we are not moving from the stance held over the last 3 years. 4. Because we are a club that are doing it the Stoke way ie by only spending what we have of course it is harder. As a football fan I would love to spend beyond our means but even if we did we would not be garunteed anything more than a lowly premier league spot. I would rather have a club to support in the championship than be a portsmouth or a rangers with effectively no club to support. 5. You forget we have in effect just spent £10m on a player ( Holt ) to preform for maybe just one season. I know you will argue we have not spent that but that is what the club decided not to get back ie a £6-7m transfer fee and close on £4m in wages. Chase and even Doncasters regime would simply have cashed in. Surely Holt was kept instead of going out and buying an Andy Carrol ( just a name there please dont read anything into it ). You also assume big name players would prefer to sign for us than any other club. I have green specs on so I would pick the mighty Norwich but why would other professional footballers select us above Liverpool / Stoke / Villa / WBA. It is not just who we want to sign it is who wants to sign for us. We wait our turn and with more success and security bigger names will want to sign in a few years. 6. The 3 years work are at risk simply because the three teams coming up have massive investment, but of course money that is in effect debt. If as fans we want that then we have to risk our club. In days gone by we would now be one of the richest clubs in the game unfortunately it does not work like that any more. I also feel we have far more chance of staying up with Hughton in charge but should the worse happen I have every confidence that we would be back the year after - still within the initial time frame of seven years to get to the prem but debt free. Unfortunately I to fear for our survival next year, however that is not in anyway because of our board, management team or team itself it is because of people like you. You are shifting peoples expectations way beyond where they need to be and consequently a couple of bad results gets a minority on players backs and then the slippery slide begins. People like you and your mates will recall that you booed the team after and during the Wigan game. It is far more likely that this had an impact on Lambert turning against us than any reason you have come up with.
 9. Dont know if anyone else has seen this but this has massive implications in respect of savings for football clubs and expenses for the police force and the tax payers of the UK. The ruling states that Leeds Utd are not responsible for the policing outside the ground, and therefore did not / will not need to pay for it. They are talking costs of huge amounts of money. Yorkshire police have been told to pay money back but they have not got enough. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-18965193 Although not specified here it is estimated that Leeds are owed £4.9 m. I hope this does not bring back the horror days of football and no policing other than at the ground. Bet the road outside wont be shut now after matches for starters.
 10. Almost 200 of us going together. All tickets ordered in groups at the same time, absoloutely no problems all arrived. Those who registered keep getting emails asking if we would like to upgrade to a season ticket.
 11. IMO the very reason Lambert left ie it would beat probably any acheivement in the clubs history ( based on the game as it is now ) to finish above where we were last year. Again IMO if everyone stays behind Hughton and the team we will be fine, I do however feel the boo boys will be ready to pounce on Hughton at the first opportunity. If this happens I fear for our PL survival.
 12. Just got ours just in P4 which has nearly gone now. Well on way to P5 and P6 going to so anybody going this route suggest you do it really quick. It is really easy and does not matter if you have an NR postcode. Looking at the away reserved it does not look like a huge amount of tickets for the ballot.
 13.
Has anybody heard if we are getting any compensation for Lambert if so how much.Or have the board made a big mistake on failing to agree compensation before Lambert left or walked out.
Is this a have a go at our board ?
 14.
If I were the Rangers fans ,I would make the SFA regret their decision to do this. They should turn up at these little Scottish towns of Brechin,Annan,East Stirling etc etc in vast numbers ,take over these towns and make it a policing nightmare, outstretching the costs that these 3rd div clubs can afford. I would make it my mission for them to admit that this was the worst decision they ever made.........be careful what you wish for.
Interesting theory have you actually assesed what they did ? They not only traded fraudulently but broke most major SFA rules. You cant relegate smaller clubs and then let Rangers off. If any of the other clubs like Dundee would have traded the same way they would have had as good a team as Rangers. Following through as you feel you should be allowed to break rules do you feel Portsmouth should be reinstated to the Premier league ? Manure are different they are trading on debt but legally and paying their creditors. Should they ever step over the mark and deliberately trade whilst insolvent yes I would hope like any other club they were relegated to the Conference .
 15. Were the other threads about this not worthy of your comments or isVaughan to become the new Holt / Lambert with a new thread every 10 minutes lol
 16. AJ as much as I do not like it anymore than you your finishing position and where you are rated is based on how much money you can spend. Again as much as we all hate it QPR have overtaken us all, they for instance it seems are about to sign Naughton a player us and you could not afford and he is not exactly world class but 3rd / 4th choice at Spurs. Of course Lambert will have you finishing higher. With players such as Bent fit my grandmother could do that with Culverhouse in charge. Thats why he is with you it looks good on his cv just as we did on his cv but of course he realises he would struggle to keep us up next year. With regards helping O''Neill out was it the away supporters that were regularly booing at Villa Park MOD seemed to think it was you lot. And if you were not happy at getting knocked out of the Europa league then you have a shock coming. Lamberts cv needs a better league position so he does not do cups even the Carling cup. A bigger club for Lambert is not necessarily a Man U it is something that he can use to make his cv better.
 17.

Just like you told us you were nicking our players lol. You managed to boo O''Neill out of your club so getting rid off Lambert will be quite easy. Just like us and Colchester and Wycombe in the scheme of Paul Lambert you are a small club that he will use. Its catch 22 as we found out if he does well he will walk out on you if he does not you will boo him out. It will genuinely be interesting as well to see if his methods work with your so called super stars ie if you even dare to speak out of turn you will be training in the field next door on your own. Can see Bent ect loving that. Hope to see you back when he leaves you - dont know if you noticed but he is so loyal that days after he signed for you he was one of the favorites for the Spurs job, if he is doing well you will never know when he is leaving.
Ha! Yes, we''ve been after ALL your players ... not bloody likely If, in 2/3 years Lambert gets asked to join one of the bigger clubs (Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal or Man City) then absolutely FINEHe''ll have had to have done a brilliant job at Villa first.Bring on the good times. Hope Hughton works outAJ
So you werent after Holt Howson and Ruddy then mmmm. His main target is Snodgrass who is not as good as Delph but you all think Delph is c**p. Lambert does not take criticism he cant have that on his cv. The Man Utd Man City thing is quite funny thats what we said, but football runs on money and in 2 years time the likes of QPR Southampton Watford to name but a few will be far bigger clubs for Lambert than Villa just as you were for him now. You guys just think way above your station and I would suspect in 2 - 3 years we will get bigger gates than you once we expand our ground. IMO Lambert did an amazing job for us but hey I suspect Hughton is more likely to keep us up than Lambert was as the chinks were emerging. If he does not he certainly will not get the obscene abuse you gave McCleish whom if we are going by acheivements is a better manager than Lambert.
 18.
As predicted over a month ago. Both in along with Lambert with no compensation. You ask why, because non was due to Norwich''s mishandling of the whole saga. Anyway, onwards and upwards now. Best of luck for the new season. If you get Curtis Davies you''ll find he''s a top bloke. Not the greatest player, but a good lad all the same AJ (Up The Villa)
Just like you told us you were nicking our players lol. You managed to boo O''Neill out of your club so getting rid off Lambert will be quite easy. 19.
When we sent Korey Smith out to Barnsley on loan for the 2nd half of the season, this was to give them extra midfield cover whilst Butterfield was out injured. Lambert knew he was out of contract and made that part of the loan deal, to get Butterfield here this summer. Lambert couldn''t get him at Villa as he had already signed for us. - Answer to the ''Why didn''t Lambert take him to villa'' question.
No it was not - however if this is meant to be a Lambert is better than Hughton thread it fails miserably as he came here and not villa. O and to add to it so is Holt - seems he was leaving on Lamberts watch.
 20.

Xst allmighty, has the moaning started already? There''s a lot of time left before the season starts and we do not have a 100 million £ to spend! some people think we can get everyone we want ''cause we are in the PL!!! I''m still happy to give CH the benefit of the doubt just like the players who still play for NORWICH CITY!
I can totally understand offering John Ruddy a new contract, but does anyone seriously think that any other Premier League clubs would be giving expensive 3 and 4 year contracts to Surman, Martin and Whittaker, and new contracts to Francomb and Smith?I doubt that CH even knows much about those that have been given new contracts, so I wonder whether someone at the club who knows little about football has been behind it?
So Hughton lied about the endless videos he has been watching about our players ?. A few days ago I felt really positive about the football club and our ability to stay up. Unfortunately there seems to be a number of so called fans that are hoping for us to fail. I fear our manager just like Morison and a few players before him will not be given a chance and the negativity will become part of our club again. Why is it ok for Lambert to sign an average league 1 player and praised and Hughton to sign an established international and be slated ??. Our squad has been built on players that other teams will not be queeing up to sign. Our star player is Holt but only one other club seems to want him. And even that clubs fans think he is fat and crap and if Sam signs him he needs his head tested. I am afraid bringing the negativity of your post to FCR will simply send us back to the championship.
 21.
why is he after all our players n similar transfer targets
Did not think he was after any of our players ?. Only real place this is mentioned is on here. Unless you have different inside info
 22.

I''m hoping this is about as accurate as the story about him being upset at Surman''s new deal, or the Ruddy/Butland piece of fiction. Very bad news if true. We won''t be able to replace him.
Would be a lot harder to replace him when he retired without the £5 - £6m we will get if we sell him now. And why so confident we need to replace him ? Vaughan fit Morison rising to the challenge without everyone wanting him out to get Holt back in the team. Look at players like Shearer and Owen moved on and never had the same impact but were replaced ok. We replaced Lambert ok and that was much harder
You must be clairvoyant!
Indeed, he must have seen the future. That''s ok then, we''re safe....... Pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!!!
Did Hughton not replace Lambert then ? Is the club in dissaray ? Lambert must have known Holt had a problem as whatever Holt is claiming happened a while ago on his watch why did he not sort it ? Going by the new deals being announced if Holt would have waited as per the normal club end of season way I am sure he would have got a huge rise as well. You have to guess that he just does not love us anymore.
 23.
I''m hoping this is about as accurate as the story about him being upset at Surman''s new deal, or the Ruddy/Butland piece of fiction. Very bad news if true. 24. If we can push the price up for Holt to £6m and the money is put back in Hughton will have as good a budget as most in the PL. At some point we need to replace Holt and if we dont sell him the amount Hughton is planning on spending on his replacement will be £6m less. If you look logically there are not many forwards in clubs that Holt would replace so why spend £5 - £6m on cover for your striker. Even in the lower clubs would Holt replace Lambert ( Ricki ) Cissi ( QPR ) The russian guy at Reading Dempsey Crouch Bendtner and the other one at Sunderland Bent and abonglahor the guy at Everton ( cant remember his name ) West Ham are arguably the only club in that boat but even then Carlton Cole would put a good fight up for the CF role there. Maybe it is our club that now needs to move on with the times £6m for Holt + £4m from Hughtons budget = a £10m striker which we couldnt have if Holt stays but will still possibly need 2013 / 14 although personally I think Morison and Vaughan will do just fine.
