1. Unless Hooper wants 2 more Champions league games it wil be Hooper. You dont travel all that way and accidently let slip to the bbc who you are there to watch unless you already close to a deal, surely your scouts do that.
2.
Kris Commons is what I have been told. Another winger!
Strange the report I heard seemed to say that Hughton said he was there watching Hooper. There did not seem much of a secret about it and to travel all that way you would think a deal was close.
3. The difference last night was we did not play - Ruddy, Garrido, Turner / Bennett, Whittaker, Tettey, Hoolahan. I suspect if these players are available when we play them at the end of the season there will be a different outcome. To throw in a conspiracy theory as well, Lambert told us he does not really risk players in cups ala Leicester last year. Now Villa are in a far worst position than we were so why did the majority of Villa''s 1st team play last night. It would not be because ( as some rumours suggest ) he had already decided to leave and was quite happy for us to be knocked out ?
4. My 8 year old was innocently singing Chris Hughtons green and yellow army outside the ground when threatened by a drunken yob who was not quite so brave when confronted by me and several of the people we go to games with. Not quite sure why they hate us so much you could sort of understand it if it was the other way round. Basically they beat the team ( Bassong aside ) that Lambert would probably have got us relegated with. Always used to like Villa but due to their fans hope at the end of the season our first team beat them to see them relegated.
5.

Why would I follow AV if i''m a city fan?
Umm... Because our manager (our very successful manager) is there? Have you never been interested in past Norwich players or managers? I always looked at how well Worthy was doing at NI. I like to know how former players are doing. There is nothing wrong with that, you don''t have to be interested but you can''t really be surprised other people are...
Our manager is CH and last time I looked was still at NCFC. I assume you mean our ex manager
6. LOL - Take it some of you wont be on tonight
7.
Money for old rope!!!
What a strange post thought he was responsible for the likes of Ruddy ( in reserves at Everton ) Pilkington and Jackson to name but a few.
8. Hope this answers the question - The same head scout is reccomending players to Hughton that recommended them to Lambert, so Chester recommends Hughton agrees / disagrees McNally does the deal
9. Quite amusing really. After the game on Saturday we had to go back to Birmingham for a family meet. My wifes 2 sons are Villa season ticket holders. They explained to me that Lambert was negative when it came to matches, and his insistence on playing 1 up front was ridiculous. Tactically he was very poor making substitutions at the wrong time o and he did not seem to be able to get the best out of the players. They were also concerned about his signings. Ring any bells lol
10. Morison is not firing yet and nor other than Jackson are any of our strikers. In the 3 competitive games to date Holt, Morison and Martin according to the stats have had between them not one single shot at goal on or off target and obviously are yet to score. I would suggest they all need our support not a slating as without at least one of these hitting a bit of form we could be in big trouble. All 3 are currently as bad ( not as good ) as each other.
11. This is exactly where football is going throughout the world the emphasis of course that if you have the ball the opposition cant score. The reason why we could never do this was apparent for all to see last night. 5 minutes stoppage time was allowed and we were winning. We kept the ball for most of that 5 minutes however there were an awful lot of disgruntled supporters moaning that we were not lumping it forward. If we played the Spainish system even when we won 1 -0 we would booed off the pitch.
12. You missed the 4th and probably most relevant. When Hill tugged at Holts shirt that is an automatic yellow and he had already been booked.
13. I will find out the full story tonight from our villa supporting sons but apparently Lambert was booed and abused by the Villa fans that only a few weeks ago hailed him as the second coming. Lets all laugh at Lambert and his lions errrr I mean pussy cats.
14. According to a few people on here he is not very good and we will leak lots of goals so based on that he wont be picked. Seriously though its a swings and roundabouts if we are defending well he will probably go if we arent he wont. He only has 10 caps to date I think
15. So why start another thread - is it because people are saying no on the first thread ?
16. And Nigel Adkins is the favorite. Lambert to be sacked at the same price is surely a far better bet as apparently Villa were the worse on show on Saturday and the fans are already beginning to have second thoughts.
17.
Did he get player of the year at Newcastle under Hughton''s management?
Yes and then Spurs signed him for £8m
18. Did not play this weekend because - They are injured lol
19. Please come back op and tell us what you think both Zak and Ayala are injured and although I conceed it was not the best debut he was our best defender so why pick on Turner and not the tosh served up by Tierny and dare I even say Holt. There were at least 6 players worse than Turner. Zak Whitbread left of his own accord unless we wanted to pay him 3 x what he was on he was never going to stay - do you think we should have done that ?
20. According to Robbie Savage he said they were a complete shambles and certanties for relegation. Apparently they did not even have a shot ?
21. OP apparently on Saturday ( according to Robbie Savage ) Villa were a complete shambles even worse than they were last season prompting him and a couple of others to make Villa certanties for relegation - Does that make Lambert a c**p manager as well
22.
I''m gonna laugh when Fulham get thrashed. We made them look good, just as we always have done recently when we play on their ground. Once Duff gets injured, which he will, they will be struggling.
Fulham relegation fodder lol they are a top premier league team and have been for the last few years - thats not defending our performance just laughing at your statement
23.
There was a moment today in the second half at the Etihad when City took a corner. The corner was cleared, and what must have been less than 15 seconds later, three Man City defenders were defending their own penalty are with five Southampton players bearing down on them. Factor in Holt, Morison and the entire Norwich City midfield (except perhaps Bennett), and this scenario would be impossible to imagine. The purchases of Snodgrass and Turner have merely added to the problem. Southampton''s effort and work-rate today almost earned them a point, but it is Swansea who I think it is fairer to compare with this weekend. Norwich and Swansea were promoted together and shared a superb first season back in the Premier League. Both clubs lost their inspirational manager, but Swansea''s squad was decimated with the loss of Caulker, Sigurdsson and Allen, with Sinclair unsettled. So how could the two clubs'' opening result be so contrasting? Most Norwich fans were happy with Hughton''s appointment, and hopefully he doesn''t find Lambert''s shoes far too big to fill. Swansea delayed their appointment somewhat, but their final choice seems to have been inspired, if early indications are to go by. Pre-season gave a strong indication of the direction the two clubs were taking. Norwich couldn''t score a goal for ''love no money'', whereas Swansea were scoring for fun. "Don''t take any notice of pre-season results", they say, "it''s only to build fitness levels......". Well Norwich still aren''t scoring goals.......showed a worrying lack of fitness......and have a long hard season ahead of them if pace isn''t added to the squad as a matter of urgency....
If you cannot survive without it how come we survived last year - almost the same players on the pitch ? Also in fairness Southampton did get a bit lucky today in the second half thay had 24 % possession and on another day could have been 6 - 0 down before they got their 5 minutes of attacking.
24. Their manager is favourite for the first one to be sacked at 4/1
