1.
"Getting back to the game last night that Bennett looks like a canny player"   Not much of a judge of players, either. Bennett has actually been one of our poorer players.   Why exactly are your still trolling? Homework getting you down, or just the grimness up north?
I''m enjoying yanking your chain mate.......surprisingly easy [;)]   Just say when you want to go back in your toybox [:D]
 2.
"not nice having to send them back to the farm"   Sounds like the funny farm, if you had anything to do with it, Doris.   Still, I guess your humungous attendances gave you a warm glow. Either that or the gas & chemical fumes blowing in from Middlesborough.
Middlesbrough is 30 miles away mate......I don''t really know anything about it.   Getting back to the game last night that Bennett looks like a canny player...............wouldn''t get in our squad like
 3.
"Nice touch about the dole and Lidl.........I probably earn more than you"   Nicking wheels pays well, I understand. Or is it one of the public-sector jobs soon to be eliminated.   "Wearsiders", as in "Whear" have all the jobs gone? Suspect your massive t00l, sorry attendance, won''t look so impressive then.
Very good mate.....you must be related to Oscar Wilde.   No not public sector.  Worked in East Anglia recently (is Cambridgeshire in East Anglia) and had to make a number of people redundant......not nice having to send them back to the farm
 4.
Boris...   Why is it called the Stadium Of Light? Is that because you couldn''t think of anything original or perhaps some wierd wearside rhyming slang[:^)]
You would be hard pushed to find a mackem who was happy when they named it that
 5.

Sorry mate but we average thirty eight and a half thousand in a pretty miserable season for us.....that''s 12000 more than Norwich in your best season for years and also ahead of the likes of Spurs, Villa, Everton, etc, etc. It''s really not a problem. Norwich dream of having those kinds of problems ;-)
Sorry, I forgot those extra 12,000 seats that we have empty in our stadium.....oh no we don''t because we sell out every week.  It''s impossible for us to match your attendances because your stadium is twice the size of ours.  I have no doubt that this season we would probably average something very similar to you, and considering the kind of area our fans come from (in regards to sparse population against a Tyne/Wear conurbation) that would be far more impressive than you filling the SoL.
Yes, we do also have a better stadium.....but even if you had more seats it''s unlikely that you would fill them.......recent years attendances have demonstrated that.  Not sure what you''re saying about the population either.......Sunderland has maybe a few thousand more people at most and Norfolk has more people in it than Wearside and Durham combined
 6.
Hello Boris,   Nice to see you playing the naive WUM merchant. A thread title of "Deluded Canaries" and your references to inbreeding reveal your agenda.   You brought up the question about whose club is bigger. You seem to be like a few of the Leeds fans, who reckon their club is huge in a "Wow, look-at-the-size-of-mine sort of way.   Well, in 2004 your attendances were none too clever: typical attendance of 25,000.   Sunderland were in the Championship, I hear you say. Well, we averaged about the same in the Championship last season. And in League One.   Looks like you are very much like Leeds in that respect. The attendances only shot up when you''re sniffing the Premier League. As in the fact that you got 47,000 for your final league game of that season. Where we all your loyal supporters for the rest of the season?   Middlesborough did the same the last time they were in the Prem. Sell-out crowds, but their ground is now half-empty now they''re in the Champ.   North-Easterners would seem a very fickle lot. Do you have a spare Boro'' scarf in the cupboad, just to be on the safe side for the next time you go down?   Finally, you seem to have been on the forum all today. Or only just between visits to the Benefits office and Lidl?
To be fair mate my reference to inbreeding was to someone slagging me...........we averaged just under twenty nine thousand back in 2004.....dark days indeed.  You averaged twenty four thousand that same year in the division above us :D   Nice touch about the dole and Lidl.........I probably earn more than you
 7.
Hey Boris...   I''ve just been thinking about copying your lead and having a statue of a U.S. detective.   Perhaps we''d be a bigger club if we had a statue of Kojak and pretended it was Bryan Gunn..   Whaddaya think buddy[:^)]
''Who loves ya baby''
 8.

How do you work out that OUR squad cost more than yours? We put our squad together for 9 million quid!!! What yours cost? a helluva lot more!!! Can we afford to bring in the likes of Bridge on loan? NO!!!! You are the bloody deluded one mate if you think we paid more for our squad!!!! You paid 9 million for a crock goalkeeper on its own!!!!
Where did I say that mate?  I don''t think I did but if I did I was wrong.  Our team last night cost about £30million and to be honest was a bargain.  We built from where you are now a few seasons ago.  Nobody can afford or attract big name signings when they first get promoted. This thread was directed at some of the bell-ends who need to learn a little humility........clearly not the majority of Norwich fans who are amongst the best in the land. Quite shocking if there are some of you who think we have a problem with our attendance, that we are a small club, that we''re all unemployed scroungers, etc.   Good luck with the rest of your season - I hope you do well.   .......and I''ll also return next time you stuff us to take my medicine ;-)
Don''t BS on the attendance thing mate.  You do have a problem with your attendance.  I''m probably more qualified than most Norwich fans to comment on this as I have lived in the North East all my life.
Sorry mate but we average thirty eight and a half thousand in a pretty miserable season for us.....that''s 12000 more than Norwich in your best season for years and also ahead of the likes of Spurs, Villa, Everton, etc, etc. It''s really not a problem. Yes the board would like more because they are ambitious but the fans havem''t had much to get excited about until we got rid of old cushion face. It''s all relative of course, if you are saying that we should get more because we are a huge club I would tend to agree, but still, not a huge problem. Norwich dream of having those kinds of problems ;-)

 10.
Right. Lets bring in economics. The last time Sunderland was able to sustain a strong period resulting in trophies was the last time the area as a whole was rich in terms of economic productivity. When your local industries went into decline as did your club. Back in the day that wasnt unusual considering that local buisiness men tended to fund clubs and teams. I love it how a trophies before the two world wars are ''bragged'' about when so many clubs were ravaged by the effects of the war. Well done for having a historicly good club. Am at work so didnt see the game unfortunately so cant pass direct judgment. However by all accounts your team played well and ours didnt. However from most of the reports I have read it suggests Norwich underperformed as much as Sunderland performed on the night. And on paper I''d still take some of our players over yours, and lets not forget how much they cost. Infact I find it strange that a ''bigger clubs'' fan is sooo bothered about what fans of a newly promoted team think. As others have said its not insulting that people thought we could get something out of the game. We have had a good run of form including shutting out Chelski. You cant blame people for feeling confident. Finally I would just like to point out that it was an ex Norwich player managing you that saved you from relegation last time you battled it and it looks like its the same again I knew you guys would be tougher tonight than earlier in the season but I will say that you can never underestimate the quality and drive of O''Neil. With the money of your backers and so long as they dont do daft things like during last summer you could potentially be fighting for a euro spot in coming seasons. As for which club is bigger. I will hand it to you that in the pre ww2 era your club was far more successful winning all six of its league titles and one FA cup. I hasten to add that three of those league titles were achieved before 1900 and the creation of NCFC. However post 1945 you have a single FA cup to Norwich''s two league cups and a 3rd place finish and subsequent European football. In terms of stature the two clubs are both pretty similar to be fair. Pound for Pound in terms of what was spent on players you guys have a much more expensive squad and as an established prem team beat a team poorly performing on the night but well worth their money so far this season. Who is better? Lets see come the end of the season as little argument can be had then. But sadly you cant gloat if you finish above us because by all rights by valuation of your squad you should. No hard feelings chap. But you do come across as a bit of a stirer and a poor example of the few sunderland fans I have met.
Sorry mate but it''s silly to suggest that you''re of a similar stature. I would like to hear which of your players would trouble our first team mind

Have you had one of them? BTW - 3-2 in the Friendly Cup Final........have you put the ribbons on for us yet?
Only famous in the same way that the Chuckle Brothers are in Rotherham. Probably the worst FA Cup winning manager ever. What else did he win? What other clubs did he manage? Everyone can have 5 minutes of fame [;)]
I agree mate.........I''m not a fan but he is the most famous nontheless
Anyway Boris Boi.. Good luck for the rest of the season and drop in again[Y]
I will mate.....maybe when it''s less emotive ;-) Great fans like Norwich deserve a great season - enjoy it boys :D

I still have a soft spot for Sunderland and esp MO''N and hope you go on to challenge the really smug - manure And chelski.
Good point mate.......we''re all a bit deluded LOL Not sure about challenging........we can but dream (and I would like to see Norwich up there too)
 14. The Premierships answer to Lionel Messi?
 15.
sad thing is they are more likely to get one of those again than get a job ps I wonder if Doris Dear can tell us if his great grandad was born whem any of that stuff happened
Very good mate......especially from someone whose great grandad was probably also his auntie

Sorry mate but Cantona wasn''t playing, nor was he scheduled to......nor was he playing for Liverpool when we got 29000 LOL So would you say that Norwich are a bigger club than Sunderland?
Bigger club... hmmmm,,, it''s hard to measure really. Although Sunderland do have a bigger name than Norwich. It''s got more letters anyway. You do seem to like appointing managers who played for us though[;)]
We do seem to have more fans........but with a history that includes being champions of England 6 times and 2 FA Cup wins they are probably just glory hunters
Are you a kind of cross between Leeds and Ipswich. They live in the past too. And they have a couple of statues. Who''s your statue of again? 19.
To be honest, we took 3 points off Sunderland at home, and have been confident this year not losing before tonight. So I think based on those two facts, we have every right to think we can get a point or three.
I agree mate.....but some of those comments on the other thread were ridiculously conceited
 20.
For goodness sake stop biting. We played crap and lost to Sunderland. I can think of plenty of other sides I''d rather not lose to. I also hope Sunderland beat Stoke.
Thanks mate......I''m not looking for bites from the proper fans and I hope Norwich continue with their great season...........and beat Ipswich every time they play them for the rest of eternity ;-)
 21.
Boris, old chap, you sound like an embittered binner. Is there any particular reason for your ''chip''? Have you forgotten the love-in of the friendly final ''85, which incidently we won. Silly me, of course you weren''t even born......
I was there mate and have looked out for Norwich since - best fans relationship in England but I can honestly say that I can''t place some of the bellends that post on here among the Norwich fans I have met
 22.
"Attendances are not really in question"Not until you started spouting off about them30,000 wasn''t it ?whereas on planet reality the figure was 646 - rather a difference don''t you think ? or perhaps you were getting confused with your local dole queue
34476 mate - with all those extra fingers and toes you would think your counting would be better ;-) Imagine how many would be there if they increased our dole payments LOL
 23.
"It''s not so long ago that we had 2 reserve matches that attracted attendances bigger than anything Carrow Road has seen in the last 20 years."Which tells us more about the fickle nature of your fans that it does about our attendancesAnd as stated we know how our team plays, we watch them. Consistently. We played badly, vert badly tonight. Yes you can only play as good as your opponents let you but on your ploughed field tonight we were making so many mistakes when not under pressure. Shots and passes going wild, just a total lack of commitment and passion. Something that has actually been one of the keystones of our play.I''m not sure what the reason was. Maybe seeing so many unemployed in one place, hearing so many people with a speech impediment, who knows, but enjoy your moment in the sun. It won''t last. You''ll soon be back in the shadows of your more illustrious neighbours. Perhaps that was where you were in September when you were unable to log on to our site.Anyway, cheerio my ole booty, summa rus hey gotta a job in the morninenjoy school
Yeah mate, our fickle fans are the 6th least fickle in England though according to the averages LOL Ah........so now I see it''s the fault of the ploughed field that the barcelona of East Anglia couldn''t perform. Strange it never stopped Sunderland. And yes....unemployed, strange accents, etc..........very good and something that actually unites you and us
 24.
http://www.safc.com/news/20111208/sunderland-res-6-man-utd-res-3_2256213_2542015 I don''t believe you Boris I am afraid.
I''m not really bothered mate.......I never said this year did I? Keep googling eh ;-)
